i do agree kunal can give a closure to mauli...its needed to start life fresh...a new beginning...but than in that new life too if she still in love with kunal...than he too cannot help much...love can't be planned...forced...love happens...even if kunal gives a closure...she still loves him...knowing mauli n the deep love she has for kunal...its impossible for her to fall in love with a new guy or ishaan for the matter when she cannot love anyone deeply like she does for kunal...even after all fake drama of kunal...she still doesn't hate him...furthermore she thinks its ishaan but she has fallen in love with kunal again...if even after all this mess...she loves kunal...he can never give closure to her heart...its not that she is stuck in past n betrayal...its that there is no control over her heart after all that kunal did in the past...she still loves him and now too she still loves him...with or without kunal...she will always love him...the only love in her life and thats what pearl explained in her IV too

she might get closure for the betrayal in the past...but nothing n noone can replace her heart that loves kunal only...there is no closure when its the matter of the hearts

All the adult characters are so weird. Kunal can easily have a chat with Pari and say babu to make Mauli your mom I would have to marry her, but look she already has a partner so I can't do that. Similarly Mauli can have a conversation with Mishti. She doesn't even need to go into details she can just say she had a difference of opinion with Ishaan's mom and therefore she cannot marry him for now. Kids don't understand adult issues, true. So give them a kid version of things they would understand.

both of them need to advise their kids...but kids are stubborn too...so its difficult for the adults to make them understand their position...

Also the thing is even if we believed that Mauli is wrong to think there can only be one love in our lifetime, we need to understand Kunal set the standard that all other guys have to meet. So even if Mauli never wanted to be with Kunal again or fell out of love with him, "moved on", for her to love someone more than Kunal the next guy has to make her feel what Kunal made her feel and more. That is one tough challenge because at Kunal's best, there was literally no one better for Mauli. Why should she fall for Ishaan or anyone else over Kunal? Because he is nice and he loves her daughter and family. But as a romantic partner, what does he mean to Mauli? Does Mauli laugh more with him than she did with Kunal? Does she feel more comfortable with him than she did with Kunal? Is he more of a family than Kunal was? Is he a best friend Kunal never was? Is he more intellectually stimulating? Does he ignite a greater passion in her than Kunal? Is she more attracted to him than Kunal? Does she trust him more than Kunal? Did Kunal had a bad habit that bothered her regularly that Ishaan doesn't have? Does she generally respect him more than she respected Kunal? The answer to almost all of this is a clear NO! So maybe Mauli is wrong to assume we can have only great love in life. The truth is us humans can usually fall in love multiple times. But her husband Kunal had set the bar really high until his affair. It's going to be hard for her to think there can be a second love that will match it. Ishaan has been nice and reliable. She can have a good life with him. But it seems more like a consolation prize.
