I think Zindegi GUlzar hai ( it's a Pak show and it was simply awesome and realistic and gritty with an awesome FL ) showed Step sibling relations very realistically. Kasaf ( the main protagonist ) and her two sisters had absolutely no connection let alone relation with their step siblings and their step brother used to literally force his presence in their lives like a funny pest , so that he can act as a spy for his mother. While Kasaf's mother was almost fond of her step son in a casual way , Kasaf's step mother used to loathe all the 3 sisters.

This is the real picture of step sibling relationship. Even recently in Bepannah they showe step sibling rivalry and hatred quite realistically.👏

Actually, there is a difference between step siblings and half siblings. But, some cultures do not differentiate it. Step siblings are people whose parents are married to one another, but does not share the same parents. Like how Bhumi and Manthan are in KSBKBT. If anyone remember that show. Bhumi's biological parents were Ansh and Nandini. Manthan biological parents were Karan and Tanya. Since Karan and Anandani got married they both became step brother and sister. They both had a brother who was related to both them, the son of Karan and Nandini which is both of their half brother. Half brother because they share one parent. With Bhumi being her maternal half brother since they shared the same biological mother. With Manthan being his paternal half brother since they shared the same biological father.

@poiu123 Indeed there are a lot of people with half siblings relationships who do not get along well. Especially, when the father cheated on the mother and have another family. Like in the case of Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor were with their half siblings Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor were in the lifetime of Srideviji. But, there are also other examples where half siblings do get along and accept one another. Like for example, how Mahesh Baht's children from first wife and second wife. How Shahid Kapoor is with Ishaan Khatter. With how accepting are Saif Ali Khan's children with first wife with Taimur Ali Khan.

@Carmilla I know that perhaps that is your perception, but there are also a lot of people who have a good bond with their half siblings and consider half brothers and sisters to be more precious than cousin brothers and sisters. Especially, when the situation is not because the husband leaving the wife for another woman kind of situation.

To be honest, whether step/half siblings would love each other or not, it completely depends on the situation.
Here both Pari & Mishti have got stuck due to their parents' idiocy.

Don't get me wrong. But hatred is a powerful emotion & it brings misery for everyone. I salute Mauli for choosing her self-respect over Kunal all those years ago. But now the situation has changed. Kunal has returned & sooner or later the truth would get revealed. Instead of hiding, I would appreciate Mauli if she had told Mishti about being her biological father & not knowing about her. In that case Mishti wouldn't get hurt thinking why did Kunal leave him & had Pari?

Once grown up, Mishti & Pari could decide for themselves whether they would be cordial with each other or not.

I feel Ishaan is the only one who can strike a balance here. Kunal is way too selfish & Mauli at present is super hyper, understandably.

Why are all feeling bad for Pari? 🤪
Just bcz the girl enacting 'Pari' is cute?

Suppose I keep myself in place of Mishti, I will hate Pari too coz it's her mother who broke my family.
And it's not like Mishti is hating only Pari, She hates kunal too.
After hearing her mom telling Kunal that he left her and mishti for dusri aurat, mishti's hate for them is justified.

I m completely supporting Mishti.
As a viewer of this show ,I don't hate pari coz it isn't her fault but Y mishti shudnt hate her is beyond my understanding.
I really don't want Mishti n pari to behave like beasties or long lost sisters.
Pari has Kunal to tc of her.
And Mishti has Ishaan n mauli. Period.

It's not about hating Pari or not hating Pari. It's about Kunal. Whether Mishty loves or hates Pari should not be because of what Kunal did. It should be separate and independent equation.

Exactly ! It all depends from family to family and each case is individualized. If Mishti doesn't want this friendship , why forcing her into it ?? 🥱 No relation can flourish through force. Period.
If they want to keep this friendship out of BOTH Of their freewill , fine and dandy . No body has any thing to say .
But if even one of then don't want to , they shouldn't be forced to keep a relation, just because they are step siblings.
One thing we shouldn't forget that Pari has no idea till now that Kunal is Mishti's father , so we don't know how she'll react once she finds out . Are we sure that Pari would like to keep this friendship once she finds out ?? Going by how possessive she's of her dad even at this age , where she wouldn't even trade having a exciting life for sharing her "only mine" buddy.
Therefore , leave the girls alone at their own measures. I didn't like how Radhika kept insisting on Mishti to talk to Pari when she didn't want to. 🥱

First thing Mishti thought about is that Pari won't share her father, so maybe she is staying away from them because of the promise she made to Pari in their first meeting.
Mishti has emotional connect with Ishaan too, people who support Kunal's rights, don't understand that "love of two fathers" is not a thing, Mishti is confused and when she comes to know that her biological father rejected her it won't be good for her emotionally

If she doesn't want to interact with Pari or Kunal, what's wrong with it? I did not feel bad for Pari (I don't generally feel anything for her or Nandini, they are not the characters that evoke any kind of emotion in me)

I agree with you guys that Mishti doesn't have to be nice to Pari, that isn't her responsibility. And her reaction is completely normal. But in my opinion it would be nice if eventually they became friends, not sisters but friends. In my opinion the most ideal situation would be Ishaali married and in love with a happy family with Mishti. While Mishti and Pari are friends and Mishiti doesn't consider Kunal as her father. And Ishaali + Kunal can have a cordial relationship. I think this would be a good way to end the show because even though Nandini destroyed Mauli's life they still were best friends and even if Nandini was alive I doubt they could've been friends again. So seeing Mishti and Pari being friends might give Mauli some peace of mind about Nandini's death. Also Kunal would be able to see Mishti grow up so that would give him some peace of mind as well. And it would really be a Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka because in a way it came full circle. It started with a friendship between Nandini and Mauli and ends with a friendship between their daughters.

Why mishti and pari has to be friends it is her choice keya yeh biradari ka property hein Nandini ki beti ko mauli ki beti ki friendship chahiye and seeing pari s trend she herself will not want to make mishti her friend if she knows they have common papa. Childs make friends and they forget and make new friends we had so best friends in school then as we change school place we get new friends some are for life but not the one who is my ex hubbys wife as well.
Kunal will never make pari understand the concept of sharing to pari one she is motherless and two she is her darling daughter they share 6 years of bond so quite natural. So better kunal stick to his darling mauli gather yourself and realize your daughter is yours no one is taking her give her a free hand she will be yours I am very sure ishan will make mauli understand.

Let's not fall for that.

You cannot act 24*7 in daily life. We all know how Arjun came and stood by his father and half-sisters after Sridevi's death. There were videos and stories of like every freaking moment they spent together. And you can see how a certain person behaves with specific people when they are casually talking to each other. You cannot put on an act so spontaenously in public, that's just non-logic.
