Why can't she play mother s role? She is in her 30s not 18-20. Katrina, Kareena , Priyanka , Deepika have all played mothers roles 😲

The show was never about motherhood...so i think its fair that dd dont want to accept it...
The makers shud have handled her character and actual storyline which was about affairs and change in relationships in a better way...i dont see playing mother aspect a part of it...so i dont think dd is wrong in not wanting to play a mother!
Why shud she do something that wasnt promised to her

Another article different reason for quitting

Colors' show Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka (Sphereorigins) will see a major development with Nandini's character ending in the show.

Yes, you heard it right!!

Drashti as we know has been playing the character of the other girl in a happy married life of a couple. The character which started from being the submissive wife affected by physical violence meted out by her husband, has grown on with time as she got loved by a married man.

The buzz is that since Nandini's character was turning negative, Drashti did not want to continue with the show. Also, the need to end Nandini's character apparently has given rise to this decision.

Drashti has put up a post on social media thanking her fans for loving her and has clearly mentioned about her tenure as Nandini ending.

As per a reliable source, "Nandini will be shown dying in the show. Also there is a chance of a leap happening in Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka.

We reached out to Producer Sunjoy Wadhwa over the development but could not get through to him.

We also texted the channel spokesperson but did not ger revert.

See erica ...dint she play mother.She was 23 then.

She must be in her early 30's. She quit her previous show as she didn't want to play a mother for a grown up ..that made sense .

She can play a mother of 10 year old Max in this show ..There is no question of getting type casted as mother cos Erica is now playing a unmarried girl now ..

..Erica was a mother of 2 in that show ..Such a beautiful show and she was perfect for the role

It's her choice guys and I'm sure she would have conveyed the same to the PH before she even started. Not everyone is alike so we can't generalise based on age.

Such comments make it seem like forumwasis hate DD..

It's her choice really. She could be 50 and still deny such roles, she can.

There is no point blaming CVs. Even if they changed the script, it is not the first time in Indian television

They keep changing tracks depending on audience reaction. Didnt they changed the story of IPKKND when Barun left? They killed Mihir in KSBKBT and then brought him back due to audience backlash. So actors signing a TV show always know that the tracks might change at any point of time.

And again there is no point blaming CVs for not handling Nandini's character well. I am sure Drashti knew beforehand that she is going to play the OTHER WOMAN and not the abla wife. Why did she even think that just because she is Drashti, aidience will have to accept the OTHER WOMAN who cheats on her best friend? She should have been prepared for the back lash from the begining.

She is still Drashti Dhami, a television actor. Even Rekha's character in the movie Silsila was not being praised or sympathized. Jaya Bachchan got all the applause.

So in all rumours were correct and hence one month time pass epidepis were shown...

Two things which were often discussed on forum again popped up in articles

1. DD won't play mother role

2. DD won't play negative role

she can deny even when she is 100. .

Her Choice ...

But if she has quit cos of this reason ..as a viewer who invested time on her show .. Instead of a "I wont play a mother dot " I would expect a " I won't play a mother because ... and so I am quitting it " statement ..Wont I??
