It's meant to be entertaining, yet leaves the viewer revolted, mentally distressed, infuriated and make you want to not trust words like love, marriage and friendship whatsoever. The girls are punished and humiliated whilst the man is living a life of sunshine and roses without having to face solid repercussions from family and society.

A perfect marriage full of mutual love of 7 years is shown to be tossed to the winds by the husband who claims his attraction to a girl who he knew barely a few months is some true love of his and his relationship with his wife which was perfect, without problems and whom he loves a lot is now just a purana farz the moment the other girl steps into his life. It's so clear to the viewers that this is lust, but the makers are showing the two people engaging in an extra marital affair as if their love is right and blessed by god.

First foremost, his attraction towards the other woman doesn't seem like love at all solely on the basis that he seems to be sympathetic due to the abuse she has experienced couples with the fact she wears sarees and cooks unlike his wife. His so-called love for the other woman looks so vain, which is apparent to the viewers, yet the cv's seem to be showing it as serious love. He only likes nandini because she wears sarees, doesn't have a job so has all the time in the world just to slave away for him to meet his sexual needs and sit at home all day and cook for him, plus she is a weak and dependent girl who brings out the protective and manly side of him. He's only attracted to her because she is a damsel in distress that dresses to his preference.🤢

Exactly 👏
This show doesn't have any entertainment value to it except for some who drool over some characters/actors! They don't even have a storyline and apparently they're already at a dead end! What can they perhaps show from this point forward?

I like it sometimes, for instance I liked today's episode because kunal really was grey today,he is going to shout at mauli in the precap but he genuinely was concerned about mauli in the date scene today. His eyes conveyed that he was wondering how to break the truth to her without hurting her, these emotions could be seen in kunal's eyes in the first confrontation episodes too.
So I like the drama they create around the characters, other than this show I watch ishqbaaaz and bepannaah sometimes and of these three I find silsila the most interesting as a viewer. In ishqbaaaz the brothers of the main lead are behaving like out and out villains instead of being shown hurt and angry because the main lead killed their father,it is actually a very understandable situation that of course the brothers will be cross with the man who killed their father but the way it is executed all the sympathy goes to the main lead and no humanity is lent to the brothers. This is not the case with silsila, okay sometimes it is but not always.
Keeping in mind these positive things about silsila I certainly wish there were more shows like this on hindi tv.Even keeping in mind all the flaws and inconsistencies in the writing I still would like to see other shows like silsila.

it is a show which gives a lot of stress.another reason to stick to a show for me is the chemistry between the leads.I see zero onscreen chemistry between the make lead and FLs.

Only Koreans and Chinese make entertaining shows otherwise most of the entertainment industry touches topics and themes that are likely to leave people stressed or leave one uncomfortable.
GOT, Tudors, Good Doctor, Grey's anatomy, Breaking Bad, Rome, House of Cards, Bates Motel, Teen wolf, Hunger games, etc all are most watched shows that leave audience in similar dilemma. And they leave audience more stressed with their season format but still people want to watch them.
In India, even POW, Dehleez were not easy topics to watch. Pakistani shows are not entertaining but leave audience stressed and that's why they are touched. Because certain real themes are uncomfortable and distasteful to watch and that does not mean they should not be made at all.
So many movies are stressful to watch but still they are made and watched.

Entertainment has genres and not every genre is a comfortable watch. Some can watch it and some can't.

Even in reality people say a lot of absurd things and behave just like how Kunal and Nandini behave in the show. And in reality it anger everyone with a sane mind.

It would be weird if show lessons are brought in real life discussion because they are bound to turn uncomfortable for sure.

Pakistani shows almost always have a message to convey and they don't have the touchy feely cringeworthy romance going on even if the story is about a normal couple let alone EMA so they're completely different! In Silsila what turned most people off was the glorifying sex scene so yea a lot depends on the approach! Not everything is gonna make you laugh! It may make u sad or make you cry but the approach needs to be good for it to be appreciated!

This show is so regressive that I stopped watching it after watching just 10 episodes - Mauli getting to know about the affair to Mauli's birthday celebration.

I am happy that I stopped as it gives me lot of mental peace and I hope I can stop coming to the forum as well as my blood boils when I read what Kunal did with Mauli in that days episode , but I guess that will take a little time.

You are asking why should anyone watch it.

No one is being hold on gun point to watch the show. Right. Lot of people have stopped watching the show and stoped complaining about it too.

So, what's the point?

Certain aspects of this show have been pretty real and they appear dramatic because even in reality they appear dramatic.

A lot of shows are not entertaining and the question arises why should they be watched at all since they offer nothing, add no value.

Why the constant questioning?

And yes, a lot of real things are not entertaining. Only romance and friendship is entertaining and Korean/Chinese shows meet the requirement sufficiently. Even Friends is good to meet that criteria all the times.

No one is refusing anyone to watch another show. People are free to use their remotes and channels would put the plug when they feel it's right. The slot too isn't a forceful one now.

U need to read my post full before commenting. I didn't only ask y should anyone watch it. This gun point example has gotten too old. Use something new. In my main post i have said y i have objections about this show which u'd have known if u have had read my main post. So I am not going to repeat my reasons.

Why the constant questioning? Because that's my wish. I hate this show. I have given this show time to watch so i have full rights to question it. U have any problem with that?
Ur own policy actually falls on u then, if u have so much problem with my complaints or anyone who has a problem then ignore simply those posts. But am not gonna say it.
Ppl can try to whitewash this show and it's pathetic content by taking the biggest shows of the world and comparing them illogically. Even call silsila the epitome of reality but nothing is gonna change the truth or my opinion. I am not forcing u to accept mine as well. bcoz reality, choice, experience might differ people to people.

Bold, that's totally subjective. I have not watched too many koreann pakistani so can't say. To u it might b but to someone else it might not be. Like u said got, teen wolf nd some more show names as distressing which honestly made me laugh due to its illogicality & generalization. U find romance as entertaining but some might find po*n entertaining. Some might find political debate as entertaining which is bang on based on absolute reality. So this depends of every individual's choice of mind.

Ur last line, again who told u everyone who is commenting about this show is still watching it? It's almost sounding like nandini fans who used to tell don't like the show then watch it!
Anyway i will keep complaining until the makers do some justice and stop playing with audience by using sensitive topic like ema. So that they can have a lot of controversy but later fail to execute anything relevant n just stretch like chewing gums by playing with everything. These type shows just deteriorates the level of shows. That's y current indian shows are unwatchable.
without misleading n divertion the topic nywayy is silsila entertaining? U answered in my favor and projected a no. So here the curtains draw. Thank u.

Exactly. And in another post she herself said this show isn't even adding any value.
It's not entertaining. It's not positive. It's hypocritical. It's not adding any value. It's not leaving any msg. Its making audience cringe and frustrated. It's whitewashing bad things. It's using victims. The characterization is crappy n cheap. It's not even funny in a sarcastic level.

Then the question arises y should anyone watch this and fill the pocket of these bloody producers? Upar se they have totally flipped the script and did not even serve what they promised in the initial promos. Dhokebaz show. Dagabaz producers. Farzi kahani with farzi characters.
