Apart to being a total bulls#@* can we call this entertainment?

Afterall tv is for entertainment right? Because if i say what msg this show is giving then i will have to hear that this is fiction so just enjoy it, watch it for entertainment.

Phir entertainment value se soche to asli mudda jo ye ema and character criticising me kahi kho si gyi hai. Wo ye ke is this show meeting the requirement of being entertainment?

For me it has failed miserably. Maximum people blame the writer and makers but for me the acting is not less behind. I am unable to bear Shakti's OTT same expressions ot Drashti's same rone wali scenes. It just gets on the nerve.

Is this entertainment? For some it must be. But not for me. I don't enjoy seeing woman getting thrashed by someone cheater like Kunal. Want to show reality? Then why drama? I have crime patrol and sabdhan india to see reality or even cheapest solution, the real life around me.

Then we should stop watching this show if we have so much problem?

Who said they r still watching? I conducted a poll where 80% people said they just visit this forum but don't watch this show.

I am talking about this because i have gravely disturbed with this silsila's content. And it's not because of ema at all. It's because of the whole show is a scam. It has no story. No entertainment factor. No visual fact. No originality. No message. Nothing other than dukhiyari Nandini's tears, Mauli's agony, kunal's irrational betrayal, dida's unwise interference and using God as an excuse to everything what they can't justify.

In plain simple words this show is a turd of waste. I hope it goes off air soon. It is not leaving good msg in society at all.

This show has disturbed me mentally very badly so stopped watching it ..just visit this forum that too only for mauli ..she s such a darling n how can anyone cheat upon her ..I m not at all angry on nandhini she s an outsider but Kunal her husband her jaan her life partner who has spent many years with her ..how can he.. n the poor victim here s my husband who gets to face my anger ...so stopped it but still not able to ..completely coz of mauli ..I wish Aditi quits n both cheap characters can do whatever they want ..

It's meant to be entertaining, yet leaves the viewer revolted, mentally distressed, infuriated and make you want to not trust words like love, marriage and friendship whatsoever. The girls are punished and humiliated whilst the man is living a life of sunshine and roses without having to face solid repercussions from family and society.

A perfect marriage full of mutual love of 7 years is shown to be tossed to the winds by the husband who claims his attraction to a girl who he knew barely a few months is some true love of his and his relationship with his wife which was perfect, without problems and whom he loves a lot is now just a purana farz the moment the other girl steps into his life. It's so clear to the viewers that this is lust, but the makers are showing the two people engaging in an extra marital affair as if their love is right and blessed by god.

First foremost, his attraction towards the other woman doesn't seem like love at all solely on the basis that he seems to be sympathetic due to the abuse she has experienced couples with the fact she wears sarees and cooks unlike his wife. His so-called love for the other woman looks so vain, which is apparent to the viewers, yet the cv's seem to be showing it as serious love. He only likes nandini because she wears sarees, doesn't have a job so has all the time in the world just to slave away for him to meet his sexual needs and sit at home all day and cook for him, plus she is a weak and dependent girl who brings out the protective and manly side of him. He's only attracted to her because she is a damsel in distress that dresses to his preference. 🤢

Wives get to learn a lot from this serial..

Even when your helping a friend keep complete eye on hubby.

No amount of love or trust is good enough, always be on the watch. Lets face it.. men will be men.. if he needs to be monitored so be it. But there's a thin line so that we don't end up looking like a control freak.

This show literally gives me a headache. Can't stand kunal's expressionless face nor Nandini' s crying. She gives a dreamy expression all the time. Can't make out what she's thinking. Off late dida n radhika has also started irritating me with their stupid dialogues. This show has no story, no acting, no logic, nothing. They r just a bunch of actors who r made to say some stupid dialogues which they themselves r making fun off. Stopped watching long time back n now have also stopped reading the WU. Just visit the forum once in a while.

Same with my husband. He warned me at least 10 times asking y am i poisoning my mind by watching this nonsense. Also when i am frustrated seeing the scenes he is more scared n consoles me. 😆 guess that's one positive side of this show.

I agree totally. This leaves a bad taste. And the timing of the show is so awful now. Whole night ruins by watching this despressing shit

There are a lot of shows that leave audience stressful, a lot of shows which will not entertain the audience in conventional ways, will leave audience have headache, will leave audience in shock and angry but that does not mean they should not be made at all or should never be touched.

Only Koreans and Chinese make entertaining shows otherwise most of the entertainment industry touches topics and themes that are likely to leave people stressed or leave one uncomfortable.

GOT, Tudors, Good Doctor, Grey's anatomy, Breaking Bad, Rome, House of Cards, Bates Motel, Teen wolf, Hunger games, etc all are most watched shows that leave audience in similar dilemma. And they leave audience more stressed with their season format but still people want to watch them.

In India, even POW, Dehleez were not easy topics to watch. Pakistani shows are not entertaining but leave audience stressed and that's why they are touched. Because certain real themes are uncomfortable and distasteful to watch and that does not mean they should not be made at all.

So many movies are stressful to watch but still they are made and watched.

Entertainment has genres and not every genre is a comfortable watch. Some can watch it and some can't.

Even in reality people say a lot of absurd things and behave just like how Kunal and Nandini behave in the show. And in reality it anger everyone with a sane mind.

It would be weird if show lessons are brought in real life discussion because they are bound to turn uncomfortable for sure.

Disagree on everything u have just said by pointing out the biggest shows on this planet.

It's almost like a comparison. The shows u have mentioned all are not distressing at all.

This is merely an attempt of generalizing by taking random names. And I don't agree to that at all. Comparing these shows with silsila is a joke😆 first of all .

Then i agree with u at the last point where u have successfully proved that silsila is not an entertaining show at all.

But generalizing everyrhing and saying this can't be entertaining because of the reality quotant is just ridiculous. Because that means reality is not entertaining? I mean what's the basic point of this comment actually?

Silsila is far from originality n reality. They have not even executed this show as per their dramatic fantasy writing. Leaving the audience frustrated. That's it. It's a total failure.

You are asking why should anyone watch it.

No one is being hold on gun point to watch the show. Right. Lot of people have stopped watching the show and stoped complaining about it too.

So, what's the point?

Certain aspects of this show have been pretty real and they appear dramatic because even in reality they appear dramatic.

A lot of shows are not entertaining and the question arises why should they be watched at all since they offer nothing, add no value.

Why the constant questioning?

And yes, a lot of real things are not entertaining. Only romance and friendship is entertaining and Korean/Chinese shows meet the requirement sufficiently. Even Friends is good to meet that criteria all the times.

No one is refusing anyone to watch another show. People are free to use their remotes and channels would put the plug when they feel it's right. The slot too isn't a forceful one now.
