This is meant to be a serious post, not just bashing rajdeep ( though well deserved..😆) all posters are welcome if they follow the rules. I want. Intelligent discussion
Violence is taught. It is learned behavior. Monsters are not born monsters. Yes, there are studies suggesting that some people may be more prone to violence. However, the consensus seems to be that violence is learned.

I believe the writers have a good opportunity here to really delve into the background of rajdeep. Yes he is a raoist and apparently now a woman burner but the writers can go beyond this. I think such a track would provide insights into the making of a criminal mindset.
Where did rajdeep learn his violence? We know nothing about his past. Perhaps he himself was a victim of abuse. Perhaps he has been beaten , raped and tortured. The writers can explore socioeconomic, cultural and legal dimensions.

We know about the rapists crines yet we dont know WHY they do it.

How can mindsets be changed if this question is not posed? Not all rapist will remain in jail forever. How should society confront this issue? Is it beyond the pale to discuss rehabilitation of sex offenders? Of coursenott! In the US there are programs targeting and aiming to reform sex offenders. The worst offenders like pediophiles are resistant but there is evidence ithat the age and early intervention may make a difference. I would be interested to how howIndianss approach the topic of rehabilitation of sexual offenders.
In this show posters argue Nandani should be given a break. Shes a victim. Well i suspect rajdeep is a victim too. The woman card and even patriarchy are put forth to justify her immorality. But why cant the writers delve into the abuses of rajdeep? Is it because of his gender?
IF the writers want to be bold they can treat this important topic with intlligence and view ers could benefit from it.

Guys i am heading to goa and then home. I cant keep up as much with the post.
Have a great discussion and immediately contact metis if any troll comes here screeching. There will be no moral policing here.

So what you think? Rajdeep can be used for a good purpose?

Ego + toxic masculinity + urge to feel powerful + sadism + inability to consider women as human + upbringing that fuel all of these + alcohol + illeteracy + assumption of consent and belief in narrative that women are weak and meant only for sex and it's their duty to bow down obediently and provide them that without question + strong reaction to rejection thst comes when their ego has been so fuelled to not even consider a POV of another human.
Even domestic violence is fuelled by the very same reasons as the rapes.

That's my understanding on it.

Show is about EMA. Not rape, abuse, domestic violence or misogyny. CVs focussing on that will bring the serial out of track. Also Rajdeep isn't the lead character that CVs are going to explore him, plus he is a completely black character. There have been no signs of him being a victim in the past or anything. Showing that now will seem to be out of the blue. He has no guilt or remorse for his acts either. Yeah yeah, I know that you will now cry that Kunal and Nandini had no guilt or remorse either. But if that had been the case then Kunal would've left Mauli just like that, and Nandini hadn't left Kunal for her best friend.
Kunal and Nandini are grey characters. They have both good and bad in them, but showing even a tinge of humanity or emotions in them is considered as whitewashing by Mauli fanatics.

Though he still can be reformed. But for that first he needs to spend his time in prison. And No, adultery is no more a crime according to Indian law so don't use that card on me.😆

I know that my this post will also get edited or deleted by biased mods😆, even though I'm not the only one who makes personal comments on this forum. There' are plenty of personal attacks which has happened to me.

Go hit the report button Mauli fanatics. I really don't care. It just shows that I've hit some nerves real bad.😆

Very well put...😊
My personal belief is that a rapist cannot be reformed...yes that side can lay dormant for a while but can never be vanquished... Rehabilitation does nothing for the psyche of a man who has the tendency to force himself on women...
