True murders are disturbing but what can we do except praying that nothing like that happen to anyone. People need to understand love is not everything.

Like you've mentioned, organizing the birthday party was unrealistic and sadistic! Secondly I'd rather have Nandini shamelessly confront Mauli as well instead of crying all the time when she comes across her! That just gets on your nerves! N if she's been non apologetic throughout then what makes her ask Kunal to leave! If you aren't regretting then stick to it! Also she shouldn't have attempted to leave only to come back once Kunal stops her! The resolve was laughable! If they truly were struggling then they should've shown more resistance or there shouldn't have been any resistance at all. To me that would be more realistic and relatable! They could've just given in and continued with their lustful relationship!

Also even if you put the realistic/unrealistic arguments aside, what was the point of making this show??? With Mauli suffering and Kunan going their own merry way?? There's a lot of crazy stuff that happens in the real world but is that what people wanna watch??? That gets super monotonous! With a concept like that people expect the show to have a message, and "juzbaat sirf juzbaat hote hain is not a message that anyone would wanna watch!!! If that's the case then even incest is justified 🤢 like u mentioned about a mother marrying her son in law 🤢 Things happen and unless you want to have a truly animalistic society, you can't show such things in a positive light or through a neutral pov

Agree with you completely. Problem with makes is that they didn't want to show Nand K as grey character. They want to justify their deed and want to prove them good caring human beings but failed. I don't know why N is running away from K after destroying everything. She should have resist earlier. She did not resist then so now she should stick to K.
I don't know what message they want to convey.
If belive "Juzbaat sirf Juzbaat hote hain" then incest, polygamy, polyandry everything is right.

In all this, N being a victim of abuse has been completely sidelined.
Why did the makers potray her a victim to begin with???
The show's all about DIVINE EMA, so she could have just been a sorry
housewife in need of love 🤢
So the reality part does not make sense from that angle 😕

Makers did show them as grey. The lack of guilt, the utter selfishness, the total uncare for Mauli was their greyness. They knew they were wrong but they did not want to correct themselves. The difference between Rajdeep and them was that this two knew that they are hurting their close ones but Rajdeep would not even acknowledge that fact. Also, leaving the EMA aside, in all other facets of life they have been good people.

I think the reason Nandini decided to resist is Mauli. Previously she knew she was going to hurt Mauli, she knew Mauli would be angry, and would break all relationships with her but I think she also thought Mauli is strong and will survive. But seeing Mauli begging was something that Nandini could not handle. The strong Mauli who has always been a rock for her, on the floor asking for Kunal as a birthday gift is something that Nandini's Mauli would never do and that was the last straw. Also, may be promise must be a very important tradition but it was seeing Mauli all broken and begging is what is making Nandini resist. That was her mirror of the devastation her decision was causing her friend.

Sadly the story of silsila is very realistic. It happens in real life. I personally know of women whom I met socially and professionally who got divorced because their husbands had affairs with their best friends and also ended up getting married to these women. In most instances these women did not even suspect that their husbands and their best friends were having an affair until it had been going on for some time...and in one or two cases the wives were also pregnant at the time of the affair...sadly these cheater husbands and best friends will justify their betrayal of the innocent wife by saying they fell in love and are soulmates etc..but the truth is that if you are married then you should not be looking at another woman let alone your wife's best friend ...and as for that best friend you should not even have any remote romantic thoughts about your friends husband ..🥱

realistic and reel should have a difference
nowadays the people are going by what they are watching on TV and films
so better they change the view of story at least for some entertainment as people watch serial for entertainment not for realistic purposes.

yes ..even though this happens in real life we don't want to see it on tv...Just like we don't want to see women and child abuse on tv even though it happens in real life ...that's why many people have stopped watching the show ... Even though the actors are great...I've stopped watching because I find the story distasteful .🥱

Showing Nandini as bechari and Kunal as some perfect lover is cringeworthy! They could've shown Nandini in a loveless marriage where her husband wasn't abusive and that would've been interesting to watch!
There are a lot of could haves and would'ves but one thing for sure is that except for some fanatic fans, no one wants to watch a show where EMA is justified and that too through divine means!

Compared to other shows I have this show's characters have been quite well written. They are realistic and they have different shades.
