Just reading the WU is making me uncomfortable and irritated; how anyone can sit throughout the episode is beyond me

Last Friday ka dialogue " Mauli ko lagta hai ke humne uska sindoor cheena hai." -> Let me get this straight Nandini snatched Kunal who happens to be Mauli's husband (Of course he too has willingly allowed himself to be snatched) and claims that Mauli "FEELS" this way??? I am not mistaken Sindoor is a symbol of being married... of having a husband OR did #Silsila invent some new meaning for Sindoor so that Nandini could say the above line ? So that she could come across as innocent?

I really don't understand the purpose of the dialogue.

"Hum uske dushman nahi hai Kunal" -> How does Nandini not get the simple fact and truth into her head that she has done something A FRIEND IS NOT SUPPOSED TO DO EVER? How is she not the bad guy aka dushman here?? If you are friend, or for that matter even a well-wisher the golden rule is to DO NO HARM.

Also, why does Nandini cry sooo much? Usko toh sab kuch mil gaya...Her BFF's husband as her her "TRUE LOVE", no extra family baggage because everybody hates her, an almost married life without being married...and still she keeps crying when someone says something aka THE TRUTH to her regarding the whole thing? What did she expect that she'd contribute to the breaking up a home, a family, a relationship and won't have to bear the brunt of it? That there would be no repercussions?

At this point Nandini's lines, her emotions , her feelings, her monologues and the character as a whole makes zero sense to me and it is OBVIOUS that the writers are messing up big time. They are completely confused as to where turn Nandini grey or not. And this confusion is evident on screen because Nandini's actions are grey but through er words and emotions they try to still keep her in the protagonist light; BUT are failing miserably. WHY? Because Nandini is coming across as a hypocrite. Put any on-screen vamp and Nandini under one roof and ask viewers to chose the vamp of the two and they'll easily chose Nandini- because frankly that is how she is coming across.

And last night's precap was like getting a sneak peak of her cruel and twisted mind. Initially I was like mujhe nahi lagta Nandini iss duniya ko belong karti hai and then I was like nope - She is just plain heartless because after killing Mauli (in a way literally), she now wants to plan a surprise birthday for Mauli with Kunal?

With every passing day the writers are making Nandini impossible to resonate with. Even if she is the other woman or the home wrecker; sensible writing can help audience to at least see things from her POV. They don't have to accept it or appreciate it but at least they'll not be indifferent to it.

Had to rant...

P.S. Please don't advise me "Change the channel" or "It's Reel/Fiction" etc. because I know these things . 😊

Well Mauli did point out the exact same thing. That Nandini's toy broke and so she took Mauli's toy instead of getting a new one.

And No...I have no doubts regarding what Nandini's status is in the show - SHE IS A VAMP PERIOD. It is the writers who are having a hard time figuring it out.

Bravo. Yes this post says it all. I simply cannot comprehend the levels of inanity this character demonstrates.

Writers are confused...

I am pretty sure that they want to turn Nandini into a grey shaded character with all the hate she is getting but I think DD is not comfortable with it OR maybe that is not how her contract states her character will be shown OR the whole plan the writers and creatives had envisioned just back fired and now they have no idea what to do.

I believe that the makers were confident of audience accepting Kunal and Nandini as a pair but things went haywire. Today the characters of Kunal and Nandini are mere jokes both individually and as a couple. There is no depth to the characters or their story arcs. There is nothing about them that makes you feel positively for them . Only when a character resonates with the viewer does he/she become a success. Here nothing about them resonates except that they are a pair of cheaters with no guilt or remorse whatsoever.

On the contrary Mauli comes across as a genuine and relatable character not just because she was betrayed or the victim of two selfish people's betrayal but because you could connect with her on a very basic level as a daughter, wife, friend, DIL etc. before the kaand and after that too

You know what would be amazing?
If the revelation comes across as Nandini to be psychotic. That would justify the confused writing of the CVs till date. There is no doubt given its DD, and the supposedly 'challenging' role this character was to be - she was the initial protagonist of the show. However, time and again, Mauli is proving to be the protagonist.

However, if in a twist of a tale - Nandini is shown to be the vamp not that she is not being shown right now - but if we get to know that she was doing all this deliberately and not as a 'bechaari', she would be a protagonist still. At this time, however, Nandini is the other woman, a vamp, who comes across to separate her best friend and her husband through the emotional nonsense. A writer's dilemma for sure.

And pray someone throw light on why is she dressed so proactively given all that has happened with her? The writers could have turned her into a superhero given her past, sadly, they missed a golden opportunity.

Excellent post BTW and you managed to capture the confusion and annoyance of majority of us regarding the poor writing and execution of the character called Nandini.

I just mentioned this on - The worst thing is how sincere and innocent and 'Dil ki acchi' she tries to look/behave when she is anything but that. Take yesterday's episode as an example. After breaking Mauli's home and her marriage (Made much easier by the spinless, worthless naam ka pati - Kunal) she is sitting in a restaurant and having a good time.Acting all shy and coy and innocent at his words, when he gets the cake...as if they are her cues to act in such a manner. One could see the very points Mauli mentioned during her confrontation with Kunal. She was sitting there with these "Twinkle in the eyes" kinda expressions, smiling shyly, looking and trying to be innocent just like how Kunal likes it. Point is it looks fake.

They are at a restaurant engaging in some mild PDA but she has the audacity to say "Hum aap dono ke beech mein aa gaye" when he tells her about the divorce filing. There are several instances similar to this one...she maybe sitting with her head on Kunal's shoulder ...or ...honestly I can't think of more because it's that annoying...point is she will be coochi-cooing with Kunal and then saying "Hum aapke beech aana nahi chahte the" or the usual 2-3 lines she uses a her Mantra.

If you are sincere about having come between a husband and wife are feeling bad about it you take actions to rectify that mistake ...You don't continue to make them and then say for formality such "Fake-Guilt-Ridden" lines.

I just can't stand her trying to look and act all sati-savitri types ...Makes me wanna puke 🤢

I would love for her to be the vamp.. actually plotting all this and trying to ruin their life because the sat savitri sweet and innocent is not suiting the character at all..
She had cleared the lines of good and black long back.. Now it's time they turn her into a vamp and bring some logic to the story.

Good post...Nandini character utter selfish and delusional.
She has proved to be ungrateful totally forgetting the
love and every effort Mauli took for her sake, and cannot
even fathom how she now thinks her cake will help Mauli.
