Why do serials show characters as doctors if they want to show them so superstitious? No rationality at all. 😲
In Silsila, all the doctor couple does is go on pilgrimage, do poojas is their house, celebrate festivals.

I don't watch many soaps but my Mom's fav is Colors, so I notice this.

Another serial Savitri hospital has doctors believing in ghosts.

Bepannah the doctor Arshad bashes up people like a gunda, so does Kunal in Silsila.

Plus all serials show that doctors can be bribed easily to give fake reports and wrong medicines.

I'm surprised why doctors' associations don't protest.

I've never met any doctor who behaves like this amongst my friends or relatives.

Every portrayal is questionable on ITV.
In reality there are hardly people who act like the ones they show on TV.

Besides celebration of festivals has nothing to do with profession of a doctor. These are more of personal traits of an individual which have nothing to do with the profession. I agree that it's a busy profession but I am sure doctors get time to have some social life atleast.

Ghosts & all that is crazy stuff on ITV which can be easily ignored.

. Well being a doctor n being in community of doctors i have seen n missed a lot of family gathering festivities n social life due to professional commitments. The only reason i relate to the show is ema. Seen too much ema among ourselves n smehw wondered wthr its due to profesnl comitnt tat couples get distnt .

Kunal is a doctor who gets into an ema, but Mauli is a doctor too but she didn't get into one. Besides Mauli here wasn't even that distant from Kunal.
I doubt if there is a correlation.

I have known few young lady doctors but they could manage to visit their homes during the main festivities somehow. That's why I said that this might not be a common happening. Though I agree that their daily schedule is hectic.

I'm in my last year of surgery residency and I'm just like how you described it 😆 always doing pooja and so scared of aatmas lol. The only difference is I have absolutely no time for socializing or relaxing for fun like Kunal and Mauli. Kunal literally just stays at home. But some of my friends who are GPs or in less urgent care do have time to celebrate festivals etc. Doctors are also human too, there's a time to be rational and a time kick back and go with the flow. The way most TV shows portray doctors though is so cringeworthy 😒
