Today I witnessed the death of a beautiful soul. A slow, silent and painful death..
Eyes shining bright with love, a smile that lightened up an entire room..That was Mauli for me.
But perhaps today was the last day I witnessed that precious smile.
The farewell of Bappa turned out to be the farewell of her happiness too. The farewell festivities of Bappa seemed synonymous to a prayer meet for Mauli's funeral.
That angelic girl who spread happiness everywhere was murdered today. She loved two people with her entire being. She trusted her heart with them. Least did she know that they were stabbing at the same heart behind her back.
Today she saw it all. She saw the perpetrators sharpening their swords... She saw them slaughtering her trust with no remorse.. She saw them laughing at that bleeding heart ruthlessly..
She staggered on her feet, unable to handle the blow of betrayal..
Her unshed tears, a testament of her shock & disbelief..
The nature cried seeing the fallen angel. The symbol of love that she adorned so affectionately, flowed away with water. And what remains is an empty shell; broken & battered..
