Well the answer to this question cannot be straight forward
Because this question triggers a lot of other questions.
What will you prefer to do, if you had one or two little children in the equation? Will you stay in the marriage or move in with this so called new found true love?
What will you prefer to do, if your husband/wife, happens to love you and put you on a pedestal? Will you break their heart heartlessly and go after you true love? Or will you think of them and stay back?
What will you prefer to do, if one of your in-law or your parents were chronically ill, lets say they have a heart condition? .Will you follow your heart? Or will let somelse's heart explode in heartbreak?
What will you prefer to do, if your own husband or wife was chronically ill? Will you let them rot and leave them fro this true love? Or will you stay back and do your duty towards this person you vowed to be in health and sickness in front of all family, friends and god.
If only it was so easy to follow the heart. If only it was so easy to say what will I do? If only it was so easy to give up on marriage?
TBH What the question should be is, Why did we fall in love outside of marriage in the first place? And if we did, then why wasn't our marriage working? And how do we make it work? And if we cannot make it work, then and only then we must think of first quitting the marriage.
the solution isn't starting a clandestine affair with so called true love...We must first respect the vows we took as mature individuals. because we must first learn to respect our past decisions before we can embark on making new ones in the future.
Sorry this was jsut my thoughts on this matter, didn't mean to oftend anyone.
But in a nutshell, if one finds true love, then after taking all factors into account, they need to absolve of thier marriage first, before embarking on a relationship with this new person.
