Somehow, I believe that victims who gone throw hell will not try or even wish to repeat the same to another person.

Exactly. I missed out tis point in my post. A woman who is just coming out of yrs of abusive relationship ll b wary of men. She ll not fall in love so easily 😕 I think the CVs brought in that domestic abuse angle to win some sympathy for Nandini but that failed spectacularly...

Though I agree with you, I don't think actors knew what a disastrous job Writers would do with Kunan's characters and esp Nandini's character now in recent episodes. Not just their character but Kunan's love phase and journey too which they have done horrendous job which is the reason most can't connect nor understand. DD knew signing EMA show which is fine as EMA happens, but she didn't know the horrendous job they would do with her character to completely ruin her character. And no it's not ruined because it's grey because even grey characters have been accepted in the past and extremely liked by majority as they had reasons which audience connected with , felt and understood and they were greatly defended as most audience was on their side in few great grey characters. But here Nandini's character isn't written well nor shown well for audience to connect and relate to like previous grey characters. Most can't even connect with her so how will the character would be even liked? It's hated not because it's grey but because because it doesn't make sense, ruined and you just feel disgusted by the character to even like or see. And we don't even know if Cvs think it's grey because the way they are showing is as if Nandini is Devi, victim, saint and all. 🤢 For them she's most likely a white character, in fact.

It's only DD's performance which is pulling of off so far, but sadly Cvs are ruining all her work. It's their job to write a character and the journey. That's why I hope DD has a talk with them or something :/

Even grey characters they showed some backstory. For eg Sharukh's character did horrible stuff in Baazigar but ppl liked due to his acting & also coz his parents & sister died due to the greed of Kajol's dad. Snape again was a deliciously ambiguous character. Even wen he turned gud he did only due 2 his love for Lily & not coz he found Voldermort wrong. If Voldermort hadnt killed Lily who knows Snape might still be a death eater. But due 2 tat strong backstory the readers absolutely loved the character. The ambiguity, the loner, the social outcast, the unpopular class topper. Here there is nothing charismatic or layered about Kunal or Nandini's character & hence so much dislike for them 🥱

in that movie it never seemed like ema but just the emotional bonding with a stranger due to their own mental stress, this show can more be compared to Sindhu bhairavi I think but at least the heroine n the wife's bonding was not like nandu n mouli's...pata nahi Kya soch kar cvs have sketched nandini's character n this ema when they are not going to show nandini as vamp n mouli as heroine for sure...think they will simply shove down viewers' throats how good n poor soul nandini is 🥱

Yes dear both are at fault. Marriage & friendship r 2 sacred relationship where trust & loyalty overrides everything else. I may fight with my hubby but I ve absolute faith in him. Tomorrow if a girl who looks like Aishwarya Rai joins his team & is friendly with him I will not ve any prob coz I trust him absolutely. I cant even imagine a scenario where that trust is broken. That day ll truly shatter me & I dont think I ll ever recover frm it. I ll never trust any1 ever again. So for 2 ppl to break that pact & do something like this needs a v strong screenplay.

There was a wonderful tamil movie Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal by the legendary Balachander. Its about 2 married ppl who fall in love but the way the story is written is so sensitive & lovely that way back even in the 80s ppl were actually rooting for these characters & wanted them to break their respective marriage to be together. Wish the CVs had shown something like that

Glad someone made a reference to K.Balachander!!! It makes me realise what sort of amazing directors we had back then...who were bold enuf to show concepts such as these back in times when it was a big taboo and a big stigma!!
Be it pydhu pudhu arthangal or sindhubhairavi or kalki...the other woman concept was handled in a such a way that you were able to sympathise with both the ladies(m not gonna mention the guys here because somewhere the fault was theirs..except in pudhu pudhu arthangal)
Alas..such maturity cant be expected in hindi tv shows...they are either so hell bent on making the wife luk very miserable and the other woman vicious...or in their quest to make the other woman get acceptance they ignore the wife...there is no in between at all!!! No wonder its hard to accept the execution of the concepts even though the we all know that its about ema!!! After watching such master pieces by KB its hard to accept stories as these tat are written so poorly and executed even more poorly...not accepting this show for the concept has nothing to do woth progressive mindset or being realistic...when they writers arent themselves so progressive enuf to write good stuff there is no point in expecting audiences to not criticise

OMG how did I forget Balachander's Sindu Bhairavi. Like u said its a more apt eg. There the roles were reversed. The wife was naive & knew nothing bt music. The guy was drawn towards Sindhu who was intelligent, independent & bold with a past. Glad u brought it up. There the director shows it in a matter of fact manner without taking sides or passing judgement. Its up to the viewers how they want 2 take it. Absolute masterpiece.
