So the question is, as audience do we consider Kunal some sort of trophy for which Mauli and Nandini are competing and the best one will get it?
Why would anyone blame Nandini for dancing in rain or wearing clothes she loves? And why do we blame Nandini for Kunal being a pervert? Or why do we blame Mauli for not paying attention or for trusting him too much? The guilt lies with Kunal, no? how is it even remotely romantic that a married was turned on by a woman drenched in water while his wife was standing right there with him, don't we love saying that the show is very realistic, so not saying this doesn't happen in real life but just a fact that in real life these men are not called righteous or hero.
In the show you can say Kunal is grey, I am not mature so I am not able to understand feelings of grey people but from what I understand there are two types of grey
characters
1 a Villain who is not all bad, he has feelings
2 a hero who f**ks up but is not a bad person
Most amazing characterization of various characters was done in a series of novel called Harry Potter..
There was Severus Snape, he was a good guy in wrong group at the end his goodness overcame the evil in him.. That was Grey right?
Then there was Voldemort, evil right? But it wasn't his fault that he didn't have feelings, it was his mother's fault, a villain who's not all bad and has reason to be who he is..
Then there was Dumbledore, who was ruled by lust for his partner and greed for the deadly hollows... A good guy who f**ked up but still a good guy
Here Rajdeep is completely black because he is so heartless that he didn't have feelings for his own baby and the show's main protagonist Kunal is supposed to be exactly opposite of Rajdeep for Nandini to love him... So let's see things from perspective of a wife
Rajdeep cheated on his wife.. Yes
Kunal is cheating on his wife.. Yes
Rajdeep misbehaved with Nandini.. Yes
Kunal has started misbehaving with Mauli... Yes
So how are these two any good for lives of Mauli and Nandini? Is fidelity too much to expect? Doesn't it take a lot more than a rain dance for a man to consider his wife as Purana farz?
All this was the old hoopla so let's come back to the question, do we consider Kunal a trophy for both women and to protect our trophy are we crucifying two women in the show because it's easier to blame women than men and afterall we are part of this patriarchal society?
There can be one more reason, the same reason why no posts are made on Rajdeep, because we have established that Rajdeep is a jerk and there's no need to discuss him and in the same way we have established that Kunal is wrong so there is no reason to discus him.. Now we have to establish who's the hero of this show so we are constantly trying to demean both women? Because for me Mauli is hero and for a large section Nandini is the hero.
What do you think?
