Exactly even I have left the show asthey are trying to romanticise EMa and gloryfying it as true love.
They could have just showed Kunal and Nadini as grey characters and EMA as wrong. But with this destiny wala thinG and baba coming and telling them that they are destined to be together is too much.

I can say that GOd is testing Kunal and Nandini by creating such situations instead of trying to bring them together. He wants to test that weather they are able to control their inner demons or not.

I too decided to read only written updates. There is something seriously wrong with creative team of colors. They are trying very hard to romanticise ema. This is 3rd show in row with this concept been tried to justify.
Look how the empathy started to change into anger. This is what is the true reality no one will support Nandini in future. I just wished good for the two ladies. Nandini deserves happiness after all she went through. And I don't want Kunal mouli as end game too. It has been too much and it is better she moved on when her husband so in love with her started to feel for her friend in matter of few days. She is better without him, so is Nandini to but as she already started falling for him so...
I wished this show is about a wife how she deals with her husband's ema. I wish this story is about mouli more than kunan's.
Read a memeber post on her friends life, how she is going through depression after the ema happened. This is the truth of real life. The is why ema can never be justified in reel or real life

One thing is for sure may happen if anyone continues to watch this show and that is, he or she will keep doubting wife or husband on every move. 😆

Actually this show writer wants everyone to start doubting everyone on every move. 😛

No, no one learns anything from fictional TV shows but it still leaves an impact and wants us to say WHAT IF MINE ALSO 😆

In that case, every one will start doubting.. kahin yeh nagin toh nahi, kanhi iske andar koi atma toh nahi, kahin yeh jaadu tona karnewale toh nahi, kahin yeh dhayan toh nahi etc. etc. afterall serials leave an impact on us right. Phir toh serials nagin, dhayan, revenge stories sab per bante hai.. do we really follow them.. do you take revenge on people?

and tell me one thing is duniya me aise konse dost hai jo apko apni ghar me apne pati aur family ke saath laake rakhte hai.. that too for months.. yanha toh koi 4 din bhi rakhe toh badi baat hai..

You keep enjoying ethic-less extra marital affair and I hope one day you will get the ability to differentiate between SUPERNATURAL and DRAMA genre. 😃

Have been mostly reading discussions & updates on Silsila forum page, but wasn't very vocal...I'm a neutral viewer and rarely stick to watching TV soaps like some only due to popularity or talent of actors/actresses or to just to see them onscreen and enjoy as fans..

Want to share this.. Adultery is offence and in certain conditions of IPC punishable as per Indian law especially when a married man crosses his boundaries and gets involved with another married woman.. what ever be the reasons..😳 In another Colors show launched in 2018 just before Silsila, makers recently tried glorifying EMA by also calling it 'paakh' which wasn't received well by both online fans or offline regular TV viewers..👎🏼

Silsila makers & cast some times also need to watch what final cut of episodes are being telecast daily on TV.. may be on paper as a concept they wanted to project little more differently but what they have been promoting and showcasing in real while heading towards EMA as something pure & destined masked under lust, attraction, sympathy, gratefulness etc. may not be digestible in a TV daily soap..

When I saw initial Silsila promos felt there might be FLASHBACK past shown between Kunal & Nandini characters and Kunal would have had a forced wedding and been living as compromise in an unhappy marriage with Mauli for years just due to commitment.. I'm sure some more like me would have felt the same.

Lets come to viewership and response. For a simple reason even if most unmarried 15-30 yrs age group in India sits before TV in late evening prime slots (may be some could be hardcore DD or Shakti fans as well who just want to see them as a pair, irrespective of what characters they play) so this age group don't usually watch TV alone in their drawing rooms or bedrooms, some family member, relative or friend may mostly sit with them. so if content is boring or abusive or bold or vulgar or violent or degrading marital institution 😒 hence while watching it collectively they can feel uncomfortable and may keep switching between channels, even if remote is in their control. This sort of indicates mixed responses and also not so high TRPs for this show. 😳

@TM I totally agree with everything that you have written and many other members posts in this thread. This week the show has been unbearable to watch for me, especially Kunal and Nandini scenes. This entire mandir track looks so forced, illogical and clinched. Sad that Indian shows can't portray any single topic maturely and sensibly.
When I started the show, I was not very impressed with Mouli's character. She looked independent, free, was managing well between her responsibilities at home and work. Fair enough. Every woman today does that, more or less. What really made her stand out for me was the way she supported Nandini with all her heart! Her love for Nandini is so selfless and pure and the way she ensures she goes extra miles to make sure Nandini gets support in every possible way, is what made Mouli's character grow upon me. I don't find Mouli perfect and flawless, she has her own flaws, but her character is absolutely endearing to watch. The way she fearlessly takes on Rajdeep, I really enjoy watching it!! 😆
Nandini, I liked watching her right from the start, even though she was docile, meek, someone who doesn't have the courage to fight against her abuser. I could relate to her helplessness because she was in a situation from where she had no way to escape on her own. Then, the way she gradually freed herself from clutches of Rajdeep with the support from Mouli Kunal and their family, was so real and I really admired her for that. Even though she was weak, kept crying at occasions, she never irritated me as such. But.. In last couple of episodes, for the first time, I was irritated with Nandini. The way she kept insisting on fasting or walking bare foot to the temple was so clinched! If they are going to to butcher her character like this so as develop their EMA story, then I don't think I will be able to take it further. How I wished they had shown Nandini becoming independent and strong first before taking this EMA route.. Is it so easy for someone who has been through an extremely abusive relationship, to forget it so easily and quickly fall for some other man??
I never liked Kunal's character earlier, now he just makes me cringe whenever he is onscreen. So no expectations from him. There are very few occasions when he is watchable.

Lastly, I want to say something on the entertainment vs morality debate as well. This is not something specific to this show or forum only. I have seen these things in my previous Colors show/forum as well (the one which was replaced by Silsila).. IMO, saying that viewers are not going to take inspiration from the immoral things in a piece of fiction work, and are not going to practice EMA in their real life because it is shown in a fictional show, is turning blind eye to things. Ok, no one here is stupid enough to claim that viewers are going to cheat on their partners in masses all of a sudden because it is being shown that way in a show currently. But in long term, it does have its own effects on society as whole.. Shows or movies are reflection of social/cultural happenings around, and the reverse is also true to some extent. If it wasn't that way, we wouldn't have moved from era of B&W movies showing only symbolic romance to bold movies which show even lesbian/gay relationships openly, and from peaceful sensitive compassionate human beings to a society with increasingly alarming rate of crimes like frauds violence abuse and rapes everywhere.

I watch serials or movies just for entertainment and I don't get influenced by them. And I KNOW the difference between DRAMA, SCI-FI, Horror, Supernatural, and I don't implement anything I watch or read in my real life. I am matured enough to differentiate between real life and reel life. thanks for your concern.
