Hi friends! this is samaara, a silent reader of Silsila Forum.
From the very first day I've seen the 2 kinds of reactions acceptance and rejection for the storyline of the show. Here are my views on the same.
First of all this show is one of its kind, no other daily soap has touched this topic ever may be because of the fear of rejection to this storyline by viewers. But is television is all about bring to you the fantasy world which complements most of the people's mind set or television has right to show something which is part of real world in an ugly way. Well, I think a story teller is a story teller irrespective genre, everyone has right to avoid or listen according to their taste.
Coming to storyline, without taking any name let me come to popular and accepted shows of indian tv which has not directly but shown such content for eg. in few shows an unmarried man(lead actor) falls in love with an unmarried girl(lead actoress) though he is committed to some other girl and sometimes he is also in live in relationship with that other girl. Finally, the leads end up getting married and here the question arises, just because you are not married your commitment does not matter. For those shows morals had not been questioned, but those shows has been showered with love, why?
Coming to the love, does love has boundaries? I don't think so. Love is an eternal feeling with no boundaries and with no proper defination. Love is love a feeling that can arouse for anyone with any extent. Does any form of love can be compared with love a mother holds for her child, I think most of the people will say No. Now lets think of an example. A mother gives birth to a child and she loves her chid more than anything in world, after sometime she adopts a child as she found that chid in need and she started loving that adopted child with same extent, does this makes her love her own child any less. No, right? a mother can love two or more of her child with same extent then why a person cannot love two person at the same time, why he cannot care for two persons at the same time. Loving one person does not bar you from loving other person. Love is a feeling and a feeling is not created or developped inside forcefully, it develops inside you itself and it cannot be judged as right or wrong, though the action you take under influence of that feeling can be right or wrong depending on how those action are effecting others.
Finally, coming to the show Silsila, till now show has potrayed this war of feeling and responsibility beautifully with its three perfectly sketched characters a perfect responsible wife who is happy with her husband fulfilling his and his family's responsibilty perfectly along with fulfilling a friend's responsibility(Molly), a responsible husband who is also very supportive to his wife despite being sometimes unhappy with her busy schedule and in the end understanding her responsible nature[considering the scene where he puts salt in saambhar as he knew her nervousness related to cooking](Kunal), and a tortured perfect wife who has given her all to her relationship with her husband and still her husband failed her(Nandini). The show has already shown the Kunal and Molly's beautiful relationship an dNandiniand Molly's beautiful relationship, Kunal's newly developed feeling of love for Nandini and Kunal's acceptance to his own feelings. Now, the next sequense will be the deciding factor as Kunal's action will be the deciding factor for right or wrong. If under the influence of love Kunal hurts Molly then he will be wrong but if he only helps Nandini to rise without hurting Molly then his love is not wrong, because if your love is pure and not just attraction or lust it brings the best out of you not bad out you.
Well, till now i am liking the way this story is proceeding where no one is wrong, it will be interesting to see in what circumstances truth will come to the Molly, how Nandini will get to know this, will she ever fall for Kunal if yes, then when she will fall for Kunal, after knwong Kunal's feeling or before that, Kunal and Nandini's will never hurt Molly intentionally so will they be ever together? The best part of this show is unpredictibility of this show, in every other show it is always known that leads will be together in the end but for this show nothing can be guessed, what will be next.
Here I end my views on the show for now but I will come with other posts if I will feeling writing on some particular part of show, this Silsila of writing will continue from now onwards.😛
