He was killed by Shiva. He did great penance and obtained a boon from Brahma that he shouldn't be killed by Vishnu by any means. With that boon, he started harassing everyone. He imprisoned a couple who were Shiva's devotees and prevented them from worshipping Shiva. He wanted to kill them but his sword fell of the Shivalinga they were worshipping. Lord Shiva was furious and killed Bhimasura.

I was quite distracted while watching the episode so didn't understand some of the dialogues. Will have to rewatch or wait for subs.

Wasn't Hanuman with the kids?

Also, did Rama have to come all the way to Gandhara to have a front row seat for Bharatha's war with the Gandharvas? No idea what they plan to show.

As for connection with Kaikeyi nothing was mentioned in the epics/Puranas either except that it was her brother, who was then King of Kekaya, suggested that Rama conquer the two cities and Rama sends Taksha and Pushkal under Bharatha's protection to do this task.

End of the episode Ramji told Bharat to take front seat and go for the war. Don't know why he came with Bharat writers want Ramji to meet luv kush so went with this route and then changed his mind and left bharat to deal the war alone. Confused writers don't know what to do with Ramji now. Just like Ramji, we are waiting when to leave this show.
