Wonderful episode yesterday (and with yesterday my OTT subscription ends, so for future episodes I may have to wait or hijack someone's TV
)
Ignoring every bit of logic that was nagging me, the performance from everyone was exceptional. The dialogues wouldn't have been out of place in a situation where someone is on their deathbed and their relatives are trying to face the final moments but I suppose it's comparable. Still, in this scenario, why even Sita had to leave was a big question to me.
Rama's grief was heart wrenching to watch. Finally, for once in his life, he asks for himself. It's even more sad that a person who usually gives so much to others has to deliberately ask something for himself, it is painful. Earlier, during Sita's banishment he doesn't do so and that portrayal was beyond perfect (from both Rama and Sita). I really wished someone could have held him and comforted him. Back then, when he was happy Sita was coming back, nobody was by his side and now when Sita left him, again no one was by his side. Rama had many who would support him. I was hoping at least his brothers could hug him and comfort him but no one did... It may not take away the grief but atleast would help him a bit if he can learn on someone. Same with Luv Kush... Their cousins could have been with them at this point. Everyone seems to be lost in their own sadness, they seem to forget those who are suffering the most... Rama, Luv Kush and Janaka- Sunaina... Someone could have comforted Sita's parents too...
Earlier in the day I was listening to a song wishing Rama everything good and then this episode at night ... My head is fluctuating between two extremes now
Perfectly times episode... I think they wanted to drag it until Saturday so that we can stew in this for an extra day before getting another episode... Kudos to the planning.
When Rama said that losing Sita like this would be the biggest loss of his life, I was thinking about Lakshman's banishment... If done well (which I hope they will) this is going to hurt even more...
