The Light of Our Love
The royal chamber, in the peaceful palace of Mathura, buzzing tonight with retinue of servants and maids, here and there, preparing for coronation of their newly appointed king and queen, that was going to be held the next morning, the chamber, decorated and having rich elegant designs and emblems of Raghu clan, on the walls, was lit with a golden glow from the hundreds of oil lamps that surrounded the divan. Shatrughn sat reclined,on his stomach, his strong frame relaxed, his long hair cascading over his shoulders. His lips curved into a smile as he watched Shrutakirti, her delicate hands carefully preparing the tilak for him. Her bangles jingled softly with each movement, the sound blending with the distant hum of the murmuring of the servants and maids.
Shatrughn broke the silence, his voice playful. “Do you enjoy this ritual, my queen? Painting my forehead with such devotion every evening? Or is it just an excuse to admire me up close?”
Shrutakirti smirked, dipping the brush into the vermilion paste. “An excuse to admire you? My lord, I think it’s the other way around. You seem far too eager for this tilak every day. Is it my skill as an artist that keeps you coming back?”
He chuckled, resting his chin on his hands. “Perhaps it’s both. Your artistry and your company. What man wouldn’t cherish such moments with his wife?”
She raised an eyebrow, leaning closer to draw the tilak on his forehead. “You have a silver tongue, lord. But flattery won’t distract me from noticing how restless you’ve been lately. Something’s on your mind.”
Shatrughn’s smile faltered briefly, but he quickly masked it. “You know me too well. It’s just... the responsibilities. Bharat Bhaiyya has entrusted me with so much in Ayodhya. Sometimes I wonder if I’ll ever live up to his expectations.”
Shrutakirti paused, looking at him thoughtfully. “You carry the weight of duty with such grace, my lord. He trusts you because you’ve proven yourself time and again. But you must trust yourself, too.”
He reached up, gently taking her hand. “It’s easier to trust myself when you’re by my side, lady. Your strength gives me strength. Do you know how much I rely on you?”
Her cheeks flushed, but she maintained her composure. “And yet, you pretend to be invincible in front of everyone else. Even ma doesn’t see the doubt you let me see.”
Shatrughn sighed, his gaze softening. “That’s because a king must inspire confidence. But with you, I can lay down my armor. You are my sanctuary, Shrutakirti.”
She smiled, her voice tender. “And you are mine, dear. But remember, even kings need rest. Don’t let your duties consume you. There’s more to life than endless responsibilities.”
He leaned closer, his tone teasing. “Are you suggesting I neglect my royal duties? That sounds like treason.”
Shrutakirti laughed, brushing his hair back. “I’m suggesting balance, my lord. Even a king deserves moments of peace and joy. That’s why we light these lamps, why we celebrate. To remind ourselves of the light that drives away the darkness.”
He nodded, his smile returning. “You’re right, as always. Tonight, I’ll set aside my worries and focus on the joy of the festival—and the joy of being with you.”
She tilted her head, her expression playful. “And yet, you still haven’t thanked me for this perfect tilak I’ve drawn for you.”
Shatrughna laughed, pulling her gently into his arms. “Thank you, my queen, for the tilak, for your wisdom, and for reminding me that even a warrior needs moments of tenderness. Now, shall we step out and light the palace with our presence?”
Shrutakirti smiled, resting her head briefly against his shoulder. “Let’s go, my king. But remember, while the world may see a king and his queen tonight, I see the man who is my light in every moment.”
Together, they rose, hand in hand, stepping into the glow of the corridor where the festival awaited them. Their love, steady and radiant, was the true celebration.

Preparation Phase
Understand the Terrain:
- Study the forest for choke points, ambush spots, and natural traps like the quicksand pit.
- Gather vines, branches, and stones for improvised traps or distractions.
Lure the Villains Separately:
- Use the dupatta as a bait or marker to mislead and isolate them one by one. Each villain will require different strategies based on their strengths.
Confrontation Plan
1. Sahastramukh Ravana
- Strength: His thousand heads and immense physical power.
- Weakness: Arrogance and overconfidence.
Takedown Strategy:
- Use his arrogance against him. Challenge him to fight "honorably" in a one-on-one duel.
- Lead him toward the quicksand pit under the guise of a battleground. Hide the edges with leaves and twigs.
- In battle, distract him by throwing the dupatta over his heads, briefly disorienting him. While he’s distracted, push him into the pit using combined force or by feinting and dodging his heavy strikes.
- Once he falls into the quicksand, use swords to sever his arms and prevent him from pulling out. His struggle will sink him further.
2. Shurpanakha
- Strength: Shapeshifting and deceptive ambush tactics.
- Weakness: Recklessness and emotional instability.
Takedown Strategy:
- Use the dupatta as a decoy, placing it in a clearing to make it seem like someone is hiding there.
- Set up a trap around the decoy: sharpened stakes or a concealed pit covered with leaves.
- When she takes the bait and reveals herself, use knives to attack her directly, aiming for her Achilles’ heel (symbolic or literal). Shapeshifting takes time, so ensure you strike before she can transform again.
- If she flees, drive her toward the quicksand pit using coordinated movements and forest barriers.
3. Banasur
- Strength: nothing
- Weakness: he always gets hit
Takedown Strategy:
- very simple
- If Banasur is easy to defeat, we can focus on eliminating him quickly to prevent him from interfering while we deal with the more dangerous threats, Sahastramukh Ravana and Shurpan
Execution and Escape
- Coordinated Teamwork: The team must work together, always moving strategically to outwit rather than overpower the villains.
- Use the Forest: Take advantage of the natural surroundings—fallen trees, dense foliage, and uneven terrain—to outmaneuver the villains.
- Cover Tracks: After the confrontation, cover evidence of the traps and ensure no reinforcements can trace your steps.
