Hello all this is Mimi here and i am new to this forum. For the first time I came across such a female character like Manmeet Shergill in Indian television. And I am in love with her. Confident, independent and strong but do have weakness for her family which makes her human. And of course Mr. Mama Yadav. He might not be vocal but he seems to idolize Manmeet for her Go Getter attitude. I must say I am quite impressed with the positive portrayal of a girl being more successful than the guy and not a damsel in distress or a family spoiled princess. Rajkumar's family doesn't seem much prejudiced over anything, from calling Manmeet ma'am his father does not complicate with gender biases but only looks for profits. Also as a builder he ought to be cunning which he is as we could see how he wants to make the 140 storey building 150. He also isn't prejudiced over the comedian profession coz he seem to have allowed his brother to be one long back but the Panchayat killing his brother seems to have instilled fear in him for his family towards this profession. Manmeet's father and mother is also genuine and Raj's mom seems open to new changes too. Hussain is also a reliable friend who seem to be a support structure of Manmeet and it's a tragedy that his wife took away his daughter. Hope for the best of his character. All in all the story line is a steal deal for Indian television and I hope it's fan base increases in an exponential rate.
Also the only character who didn't seem genuine to me and hell selfish was Gunjan her sister. And her parents really didn't reprimand that brat for her wrong doings like treating Anmol as a thing which brought from market or the suicide attempt coz she would look bad in sasural. These kind of girls are pain in ass, they would not back off to do emotional blackmailing or manipulation if something goes wrong in sasural even leading to gas lighting her own family members.
As you all can see I am quite impressed with the story hence I am here till the time they keep up with the progressive attitude. Glad the fear of being alone forever made Manmeet to be a single mother instead of anyone using her and leaving her with a child. Glad that they are bringing this to light in the society and the way she is treated with respect even in the municipal office scene for being humble yet strong made me feel like they really worked with real life interactions. I am really happy to see such a new thing in Indian television after seeing a fool of women empowerment topic in a different serial where it might say about a journey of a girl getting stronger but it focused more how her partner made her at last dying with her partner and her daughter carrying on. It was all bad writing with a good cast but here they took the efforts to show that a girl can be successful herself and yeah without compromising her happiness. At least she isn't shown being trampled over or mocked only for being a girl and on top of that being a single mother.
