Alfaaz jazbaat ko zubaan de paayein,

Iss umeed mein hum yeh sher likhte hain,

Yeh sher humein unke aur kareeb le jaayein,

Uss ehsaas ki chaah mein hum likhte hain.

Jaana hi tha toh aaye the kyun,
Ab dooriyaan hi hain humaari darmiyaan,
Toh saanson mein yun samaaye ho kyun.

Dooriyon ke dastoor se door nahin ho sakte,
Hum milein kabhi agar toh bichhar jaayenge,
Phir kyun jaaoun paas main uss deewar ke
Jo hamesha hogi beech mein humaare.

Dekhoungi main tumhein door se hi,
Bolengi tumse sirf aankhein meri,
Kabhi na samjhoge, kabhi na jaan paaoge
Ki tum par sher likhta bhi hai koi.
