Dear lord, I swear i am not a violent person but today Anokhi made me SO MAD! As a character, she was unbearable! This is the only episode where shaurya was 100% in the right!

I found it weird that Shaurya tried to make casual conversation in the car. WHY? This is the first glimpse of the awkward Shaurya. The infamous Karela- Rasgulla banter was cute. This conversation showed that Anokhi has no clue who Shaurya actually is but she also admits that She keeps thinking about him and that there is more to him. Then begins the aastha jaap.

It was funny to see the plastic hockey sticks in the riots but here is my favorite part. How shaurya holds Anokhi. I have seen really famous ITV couples and chemistries but there is something unique about how Anokhi physically fits into Shaurya's arms. Idk is this because of their height difference or good acting, but these nuances are what gave rise to the shakhi craze! On the very first outbreak, he immediately held her and was always in front of her. Dariya playing in the background with the riots are foreshadowing how this day will change Shaurya's awareness into almost worship.

Call it age gap or call it stupidity, but Anokhi trying to find aastha in middle of riot and screaming at shaurya was very WTF for me. He was logical in his point and she was just WTF! Infact what seemed very foolish was when he hides her in the shop to go out and find a solution someone immediately attacks her and she STILL DID NOT GET how dangerous it was?

At this point Shaurya and Anokhi are equally blinded by their "pseudo mothers"

They way Devi manipulates the situation is just amazing! She is a smart character who becomes foolish/impulsive only in her panic for Shaurya. I just wondered why did Devi convince Tej for Aastha? And what went so wrong post that?

What a cute sweet banter… they looked like a couple fighting over petty things here.

Anokhi still in shock how he cut off her hair and Ss observes this and says she should take care of her belongings. It was funny when she pointed out that what was the need for him to come with her when she wanted to go alone? He was quick to remind her that it was his car that she came and sat in. The conversation ends up with the very famous karela rasgulla dialogue.

The riots..and Ss holding on to her and trying to protect her. Anokhi being the stubbborn person she is doesn’t pay heed to Ss’s request that they should leave as Astha might not be there and anything could happen. He made complete sense but not to Anokhi. He is forced to stay as he can’t leave her alone. As he notices that she isn’t comfortable that he’s holding her he clarifies that he will be blamed if he can’t protect her… and corrects that he will be blamed if he can’t protect his student.

Acp jahan chai wahan… his association with chai even in a serious situation is noteworthy.

BM and Alok… resorting to their plan of finding Astha as BM doesn’t want any sort of association between Astha and Ss be it hatred. She definitely is scared that the hatred Ss actually has for Astha can be overcome by his love for a mother which she couldn’t be and is very insecure that she might lose Ss to Astha.

What a manipulative person BM is when she says to Shaan that she is affected by anyone/anything that might affect her son and so is trying to find Astha.

P.s: i loved the song but didn’t get the lyrics.

The whole episode was dominated by the riot scene and people running around. I felt that it was a bit amateurish, the way the same people were coming and going. They need not have made it so lengthy.

The car scene and the famous Karella-Rasgula analogy, but before that the more famous Anokhi speech was:

Pata mere mamiji kya kehte hein?

We will here Ramma's philosophy about everybody, everything even her nuskas till the end..

Anokhi said she tried her best believeing he could not be so wrong and he would be regretting his words, and she questioned Shaurya on who was he trying to convince that he cared for aastha.

I found this conversation so irritating, immature. Whatever type of relation exist, anokhi does not have any right to question Shaurya's motives. She does not have any right to ask him anything concerning his relationship with anybody..

Anokhi is so into Astha, she even asks Shaurya not to go in case aastha sees him and get more troubled.

What about the opposite, what if aastha sees hima and feels better as he cared enough to come searching for her. Why does Anokhi feel that Shaurya is bad for aastha but expects him to forge a relationship with his mother?

Despite all the dangal, the one track mind of Anokji does not waver, she needs to find her aastha ma'am...

Shakhilicious episode!

The often quoted and memed line of the show was in this episode.

"Main karela hoon?"

"Isme koyi shakh hai"

"Khud to jaise rasgullah"

The fandom had a field day with this episode!!

Due to the spectacular promo this track received, the riots were eagerly awaited. The set up was great with them being present at the same place as a strike. A simple fight devolved into violence. And Shaurya's first instinct was to protect Anokhi. The chose a beautiful song as background.

oho haan pyaar sawaal kyun hoya ji, oho ke haal behaal kyun hoya ji

pyaar sawaal kyu hoya ji, ke haal behaal kyun hoya ji, haan ji, ho ji!

tennu khuda manneya, te tennu rab manneya

koi nahi bhulda yaara, jivein tu hai bhuleya

ho beh gaya hanjua da dariya, tere layi ki ki nai kareya
vekh jeete jee main mareya, ho beh gaya hanjua da dariya

The whole scene, he protected her.....held her hand, shielded her with his body, and tugged her and led her to safety. Even during the midst of a riot, they continued to argue and fight like children. I agree with Shaurya that Anokhi was acting stupid. She kept insisting that she could find Aastha in the midst of all the chaos. Why she thinks of herself as that capable is beyond me? But when ShaKhi got separated, they were both restless to find each other. Ponder that!

Side note:

~ We needed the Shastha story. We needed know about the Tejvi involvement in it. We needed to know about all of Devi's machinations. When Devi said that she's the one who said yes to the Shastha relationship and convinced Tej for their marriage, it made me very curious. I needed the backstory.

~ In the car, what did Shaurya want to say? Did he want to apologize? Did he want to talk about Aastha? Was he tryin to explain himself to Anokhi? Why does her opinion of him matter so much?

~ Anokhi said "pehla impression sabse sahi hota hai". I wholeheartedly disagree with this statement. Most first impressions are a superficial assessment of a complex individual. With Shaurya, what she saw was his bitterness, without knowing the depth or reason.

I know many enjoyed the riots episode, but I'm here for the post-riots scenes. It's not the chaos that defined their relationship, it was all that followed after and the feelings it triggered.

Shaurya seemed to know they were crossing lines with their closeness. He was insistent that "mujhe koyi shock nahi hai tumhe iss tara touch karne ka". It sounded like he was trying to protect himself, insisting that he was just being a professor, protecting his student.

I totally forgot to mention that in my review. In the midst of searching for a missing person, Ahir still has time for chai.

This was not a good episode for Anokhi's character and the viewers patience. Anokhi has so many misconceptions and makes so many judgmental statements about Shaurya and Aastha without knowing the whole story.
