That true, nice content will definitely be short-lived and youth will stop watching television.

Hopefully channels will take a leaf out of this n broadcast youth centric shows in prime time .If the replacement show does well in that slot it will prove 7pm is non youth centric slot .

So the so called online "trp" we get is a farce? So no one know what traction is online for these shows.

And they are right, as much as we hate regressive storylines they get trp's and so no one will create an exit for them. And I feel most of the young audience has already moved to ott stories or catch these shows on the channel's ott platform. It's not just about saakk. It's about a lot of these youth centric shows or shows with a different storyline.

Either channels should fix a slot and run one youth centric story as a limited series and see what traction it gathers. Because honestly I would prefer a limited series or multiple season limited series over 200-300 episodes.

End point is BARC is faulty but it is what it is. I think channels make enough money and so no one cares to change the system as they are not losing on money.

A show like SAAK with such unique concept never deserved a 7pm slot. where none switches on tv in between 6-7.30 especially when its a youth show.

this shows the mentality of the channel where they themselves think such kind of shows needs to be shown at non worthy time.

oppo channel show picked only once its regressive content started so they expected our show to do the same drama with shagun.

if SAAK had been shown 7.30,10.30 or 11pm it would've had some grt trp 1.5-1.8 ( not that I am a sucker for trp shows,since they stated it as a reason to pull the plug so early).

Are everything is scripted.all channels pay money to media portals to lift their shows or drown them depending on their relation with the PH (both creative n financisl) .my friend works in one of the media portals n she said the channel will stop supporting the show once thy want to axe it n these stupid people are paid to badmouth it.Atleeast i m happy its out that youth shows need prime slots not dead ones .hopefully someday we will find some change in ITV msybe another decade or covid may be instrumental in bringing this change if covid situations brings lockdown (hoping not) .🤞 which will force channels to think about finite series.
