Old Episodes - The Journey and Resemblances Sha.. ShaKhi

So, yesterday I was just watching episodes with Shagun 1.0... And found how things and equations have changed among them and mentally comparing Shaurya's Interactions with Shagun...

Thank god for those episodes which still keeps me hooked... 😆 and hopeful... But watching old episodes after new ones is more fun

Here are few things... First with Shaan.

One of the scene - Shaurya and Shaan's scene

Shaan was asking Shaurya if Astha asked anything about him.. Shaurya laughed sarcastically... The desperation that Shaan had was heartbreaking for Shaurya... But he managed to laugh it off while demeaning 'that woman'...

'you told her about my engagement na... Did she reply..... Pause..... There you got your answer'

Cut to Today... When Shaurya messages Anokhi... And his reaction when she does not respond back and ignore ... And while we are talking about ignoring calls and messages...

Shagun after Shaurya broke the engagement (it never happened, right?) she tried calling him gazillion of times, she messaged him, she sent him voice notes begging a talk... Clarity and discussion... But Shaurya kept Ignoring her...

To be honest, I did feel Shagun 1.0 was little obsessed too... Like she chose Cambridge but she still wanted to take care of Shaurya whole life? It was little absurd...

But Shaurya makes an effort to still talk to Anokhi and in a way like his life hangs in his throat till she just stops ignoring him and talks to him... (Except for when he went away to Goa)... Of course all of these are clues that their relation is not one sided like Sha... Sha..

Talking about sentiments to things -

Shaurya heads to lake and throws away the ring... (🤣 it was shining like a magical ring in the water... Agar koi mystical show hota toh Geniee would have definitely popped out or Ring would have made its way to Anokhi 🤣)

Cut to today.... The dress that Shaurya gifted Anokhi😭 Jo haalat Anokhi ne ki hai woh dress ki... She not only threw it out... She cut it into pieces 😆 and she had hell lot ot flashbacks with it... Very poorly executed scene...

Again showing how deep the emotions ran... Shaurya was actually shown to be upset with Shagun for her decision and all but it was kind of superficial... He was upset by the fact that woman in his life always chose their dreams and career over him.. Though Shagun literally assured him she won't be gone for long and unfortunately she has returned 😭😭

Another most interesting comment from Shaurya to Mr. Kapoor - Shagun's dad was...

"Please Mr. Kapoor... Don't force Shagun into marriage... She has better plans for her life.. 😆PhD karni hai..." with that Sarcasm and smirk. Haan...

Shagun after Shaurya broke the engagement (it never happened, right?) she tried calling him gazillion of times, she messaged him, she sent him voice notes begging a talk... Clarity and discussion... But Shaurya kept Ignoring her...

Don't know in Show they showed he broke off before engagement,it was engagement day itself and then in Goa track Shagun Nikki they dated for 2 years and were engaged for 6 months,even in date episodes Shaurya said " Ha it's true that Shagun and I was engaged" Yeh sach ahi ki Shagun aur main mangetar the......

Another loophole in writing I guess.....

Based on dialogues during those episodes Anokhi had no reason to fall for Shaurya... Bass ab woh Shaurya wala effect nai raha hai... 😆 jo first episode mein tha.. Nai Anokhi ka woh effect... Hence they fell for each other.... Warna Rubbish were their words for each other pehli baar mein...

His dialogue was clearly because he couldn't control her and sarcasm for... Don't force your daughter to get married...

I want to hear him say that to Mr. Bhalla.. Someday..

Anokhi toh still kabhi kabhi galti se jhalak dikh jaati hai,but still couldn't digest what made her fall for him🤣 Wo bhi coming back tab when he convinced u to return jab he said u characterless....

It doesn't makes sense for an headstrong girl like Anokhi.Normal ladki nahi bhulti aise allegations abb dur se feelings dikhate toh was still ok! If they would have shown like Shaurya helping some needy student Anokhi dur se dekhti and praise......wo kind of purane kisi episode main thaa.......Aise uski goodness aur bhi explore ki jaa sakti thii...........Or him defending any girl student........

Hence they fell for each other.... Warna Rubbish were their words for each other pehli baar mein...

And I feels is what they have made the show..........

His dialogue was clearly because he couldn't control her and sarcasm for... Don't force your daughter to get married...

No I guess he is not a person who wanted Shagun to force,he never wanted to control her, he just wanted an trophy as a wife which will handle him and his family.............

I want to hear him say that to Mr. Bhalla.. Someday..

I think Shagun 1.0 really loved Shaurya. Though even I can't understand why a highly educated and independent lady like her was ready to be a Saberwal bahu even after knowing about the family. Maybe it was her love for Shaurya or the position of being Mrs Shaurya Saberwal.

Coming to Shaurya's reaction after their engagement broke, he was not much affected emotionally . This is my opinion. His ego was affected that Shagun chose Cambridge over him and he related this to his childhood abandonment by his mother. I felt he never really loved Shagun. It was supposed to be a marriage of convenience for him. Shagun looked like an ideal Saberwal bahu who would fit into his family easily.

I don't want to comment on the dress tearing scene by Anokhi. That was unnecessary and I think that scene was one main reason for dip in TRP last week 😊.

Coming to Shaan I feel Shaan has also changed. The previous Shaan was desperate for Aastha and thinking only about her. Now he has become more vocal in expressing his anger and also started bonding with his Devi Bhabhi.

@bold: I mean she did decide to give up her career for shaurya.(guest lecturer at siac is more like kuch nahi to kuch hi sahi😆) But then she got cambridge opportunity and thought ki kaha cambridge kaha yeh sab; at this point I am sure she indeed got kicked out of Cambridge like you wished for and is again back to kuch nahi toh kuch hi sahi😆

True.. it's really fun to watch the old episodes and compare change of characters with present.

I am also going back and watching them again and again and surprisingly I never get bored...

In fact discovered few interesting things:

1. We all kind of bashed Anokhi for her strong reaction on knowing about Mysogynist side of SS.. but when I watched old episodes.. the kind of horrible things she has faced in her life in form of her dad, Jiju, brother.. her current reaction is justified as that's the very basis of her journey. Only thing that can change her mind is SS talking to her and ensuring his full support for the career and self dependency.

2. Also.. saw that episode where SS is telling Anokhi.. " Aap kab se mere liye itni important ho gayi hain.. and .. Main Shaurya Sabarwal hun.. kisi ke liye bhi mera decision nahin badalta "🤣🤣.. I was like .. don't rush it man.. it's gonna bite you back🤣

3. I agree.. even Old Shagun was weird.. I agree SS was crappy the way he behaved.. but I still give full marks to him for being upfront and straight fwd... His thoughts about women was regressive but he exactly knew what he needed in his life.. I mean a house wife and he has told Shagun in advance. But she told him about this Cambridge thing in the last minute.. on engagement day.. it was a big thing .. she had go away for two years and she didn't think it was important to inform SS in advance.

Even in real life.. anyone would get spooked in such situation... Especially if his expectation from would be wife is pure housewife role.

Right... And clearly Shaurya wasn't too emotionally in love with her... but his scene with Devi did show he felt betrayed... And him thinking that was love is not too unrealistic.

That dress running scene was supposed to be deeper with meaning but execution was poor. Trps have reduced because of terrible storyline and plot 😆

Also... They had really made Anokhi stupid to ensure she falls for Shaurya... Inspite of having 100s of reasons for her to fall for him... Both of them were shown to be falling in love our of guilt and Anokhi toh mostly because of Reema's push...
