Astha - View as a Mother Vs. View as a Mentor

I am kind of happy with the conversation they showed between Astha and Anokhi though I was little reluctant earlier about Anokhi deciding to get clarity from Astha over Shaurya...

But truth be told, she is right... Astha has been her mentor... Someone who has shown always helped her out and shown her way...

Astha as a mother sees hope to get his son back on track through this alliance of Shaurya and Anokhi but Astha as a mother of a girl who loves someone like Shaurya might be warned... Could see red alert... Just like she saw it even when Anokhi only spoke little nicer things about Monty earlier... She knew Anokhi was making compromise but at the same time few things, based on her experience, was actually red alert... Rich family, NRI rishta and now a girl who married there is not 'allowed' to move out...

Can Shaurya be as devilish... Absolutely not! But the core remains same - but as a Mother can or should Astha ignore it? Probably not, maybe this is an opportunity for her to help Shaurya... Guide HIM and give him his haq - her guidance...

One of the key episodes had shown that Shaurya was jealous of Anokhi because his mother saw those dreams for Anokhi which should have been his haqq.. His mother's concern and direction and love was his haqq... But Anokhi had gotten it all... Now it's about the time, that Astha could buckle up and give address Shaurya's issues.. Help him fight it...

Only if Shaurya let's her... Only if Shaurya gives her a chance... When Anokhi is in question, probably Shaurya would do anything... Maybe break the ice with Astha..

Well Astha has been a rock to Anokhi her sounding board perhaps..

But I have 1 issue.

Today Anokhi poured her heart to Astha, mentioning her fears.. her dreams her hopes..and Astha listened to all, but why did she not talk about the blunder She and Shaan committed in their yore days..

Why did she not have the courage to accept her mistake. Claims that his upbringing has made him what he is today was just not fair.It was a deciding factor but Shaan and Astha played an instrumental role in it.

What good did she see then that she left him when she very well knew how Devi Saberwal was?

And Anokhi, well sorry to say her mentioning that he doesn't respect women only stems from his equation from Aastha. How conveniently she has forgotten his stand for her rustication, her sister, her rights.

She comparing him with likes of her father and that mutton shop Vineet was appalling..she is confused and in total shock. I hope better sense prevails..

And Astha's claim that Anokhi and her love can change Shaurya is cruel. Please accept your flaw first, show her how weak you were.. these 2,,Shaan and Astha can't get away with what they did to their 4 year old...

And hopefully Anokhi might see things in a better light.

Shaurya and his demons need to be addressed but judging him like this makes Anokhi no better than him...she too is extremely judgmental like he is or was or will be...

Two things I did not understand that Anokhi did :

1. Anokhi repeating Shagun's words as True

Anokhi is blindly believing what Shagun said inspite of knowing intentions she would have. I really wished she would have related her words with everything that has happened in past. Shaurya has been controlling when he asks Anokhi to not meet ACP in private, Shaurya has had soch part about how woman should conduct herself based on her past experiences of victim blaming and character assissnation, but not everything Shagun said was relatable to Anokhi... Atleast few of those incidents should have been considered and others could have been discarded or questioned

2. Said Shaurya cannot change

To be very honest, like you said Astha and Shaan had failed as parents! In such a scenario, Astha is no position to confidently claim Shaurya's soch can or cannot change... But Anokhi is! She has witnessed it herself. She said it confidently last week...that he has changed to Babli..

Inspite of saying exactly opposite just a week back! See these are inconsistencies I keep pointing out.. I knew that the day show will be on track, Anokhi's and Shaurya's dialogues won't make sense...

Now coming to Astha, I did want her to tell Anokhi and partly take blame for Shaurya's current situation and soch. She could have requested Anokhi to support her rather than saying you do it yourself with pyaar... But to be very honest, so many things that Anokhi did question weren't meant for Astha because in a way, she knows Shaurya not more than what her motherly instincts tell her...

Shaan for that matter was little more sensible in this matter earlier.. Let's see tomorrow how he takes this ahead.

@Bold- Exactly she keeps on telling uski bhalai ke liye chod dia.. Then accept u misjudged.. Agar yahi bhala hai Shaurya ka then dunno what can be worse..

I am so happy she is finally going head on against Devi for her son.. He deserves all this and more..👏

@bold: Completely agree and it is frustrating because as viewer you see how deeply invested Shaurya is in Anokhi. Anokhi has flip-flopped several times in short period of few days and she has accused Shaurya of everything from manipulation to revenge. While her fears and concerns are genuine, she continues to pass judgement on him without talking to him or giving him a chance to explain. I am challenged in understanding her perspective. Either she want Shaurya and wants to fight with and for him or she does not. Yesterday I felt she decided to fight for him, today I felt she did not want to.

Aastha has become completely blind in the love for her child. She disappointed me big time today. She blames his upbringing for his soch, but does not accept her own role in the process. Shaurya is not a kid, he is a grown up man whose entire thinking should not be product of his upbringing. Otherwise what is the use of all the education that he got?

She wants Anokhi to take the entire responsibility of changing his soch but she doesn't realise that she too will have to take a proactive role to change him. His thinking was mainly the result of her abandonment. So she has to make him understand why she had to leave.

All this while Aastha has maintained that she left him behind for his own good. We still don't know what good. Perhaps she didn't want to deprive him of his inheritance and the opportunities. Or perhaps she didn't want him to be caught in the crossfire between her and the Sabharwals. She has also time and again accepted it was a mistake on her part but today she did not. Today she kept quiet when Anokhi asked her would she push Anokhi into this relationship if she was her own daughter?

I don't mind her being biased towards Shaurya but atleast accept your own mistakes. And the precap she was telling she didn't have the himmat. What himmat was she talking about? I always thought Aastha and himmat went hand in hand. She fought with Anokhi's own family for her rights. She even fought with Shaurya, Alok and Vineet for Anokhi's admission. Now they want to show Aastha didn't have the himmat to fight for her own son? Perhaps I have misunderstood the character all along. Let's see how the precap plays out.

Mujhe bas revenge yaad hai hostel date ke waqt.. I was literally laughing ki behen kaunsa EK serial dekhke aayi ho..

Flip-flops alag level ka chal raha.. Wo soya raha ussi beech do baar ho gaya..

Insan ko uthne do, ussi se puch lo direct, jhut to bolta nahi wo tumhe, kiski baat suni jaa rahi, the woman who wants to marry him and the person who he wasn't in contact with for 25 years jabki khud ki experience with that person is different..

This comment of mine might not be inline with taste of what most other members believe about Anokhi but...

Anokhi's character has been pendulum. Going by DJs I kind of felt that once the show decides to focus on the core concept, the digression in Anokhi's character during past three weeks won't make sense because of stupid dialogues given to her related to revenge, manipulation, game and all... But they didn't want to deal with soch and focus only on developing love connection between two... Going forward, she might call out on Shaurya for double standards too the one which people expected during angry confession scene.

In order to make sense of today's Anokhi (if writers decide to keep her intact now) it will be important to forget whatever she said and did over past two weeks with just an addition that this one loves Shaurya but her characterization and thinking will now be inline with Anokhi who told Shaurya that he shouldn't have spoken so rudely to ACP in college after his rant in restaurant (or the Anokhi before Shaurya landed in her hostel).

And there are quite some chances Shaurya too will retract from some of his dialogues in last 2 weeks regarding aaj ki ladki and ladhna for herself... But since they have focused on his love to be deeper one with all phases.. Attraction, jealousy, curiosity, realization, conflict and clarity... It won't be as inconsistent as Anokhi...

Shaurya had used word manipulation when she met him in Goa...

Asking her.. Why was she here.. She anyways thinks he is manipulating her and all.
