SInce we are not getting Shaurya Aastha scenes, I tried to create some out of my imagination. This is a small OS. Just wrote it down on this lazy Sunday afternoon. It is based on the precap and the spoilers that we are getting. Hope you will like it.
Shaurya entered Shaan’s chamber to look for some files. Suddenly he heard his father’s phone ringing. He looked around. It was on the desk. Shaurya was surprised to see the name on the screen “Noor”. So even after the divorce the woman has not stopped pestering his Dad. What does she want now? Shaurya took the phone and wondered if he should pick it up and give her a stern warning. If Bade Papa or Alok Chachu found out, they would create a huge ruckus and insult his Dad.
The phone continued to ring. Alok came near the door and asked, “Is that Shaan Bhaisaab’s phone? Who is calling? Whoever it is, just pick it up and tell that Shaan Bhaisaab is in an urgent meeting.”
“Right Chachu.” Shaurya picked the call hesitantly.
Before he could say anything, he heard Aastha’s voice from the other side, “I am sorry Shaan. I was taking a class. Therefore could not pick up your call. Is everything alright?”
“Dad is in a meeting. You should think before calling him during college hours.” Shaurya said.
“Oh Shaurya. It is you. I am so sorry. I shouldn’t have called like this. Please don’t think...”
“I don’t have the time to think anything about you. Bye.”
Shaurya was about to cut the call when Aastha said, “Wait. How is Anokhi? She seemed pretty upset the last time I called her.”
“Why are you asking me about her? How will I know?”
“Please don’t take it otherwise. I just thought since you took her back promising that you will not let anyone create problems for her in the college, you might be knowing what is bothering her of late.”
“What will bother her? She is perfectly fine. Happily spending time with ACP Ahir.”
“Oh, is that so? Then I must have misread her mood. I asked her so many times what is wrong, but she would not tell. This girl can be very stubborn sometimes.”
Sometimes! She is always stubborn. I told her so many times that there is nothing between Shagun and me but she would not listen. She has been avoiding me ever since she saw us together.” Shaurya complained.
“Isn’t that normal? What do you feel when you see her with ACP? They don’t even have a past. I have seen your behaviour around him.”
“But that is different. I have already told Anokhi that I love her.” Shaurya blurted out. Then he was embarrassed at his own slip of tongue. Nevertheless he waited for Aastha’s answer.
“It is good to know you are so sure about your feelings for her. I don’t know if she will reciprocate. But actions speak louder than words. You have to make sure that she doesn’t feel like an unwanted intrusion between you and your ex. No person would like to be an option for someone. They would want their special someone to accept them with their goodness as well as shortcomings.”
“What do you mean?” Shaurya asked curiously.
“Sometimes we fall in love seeing only one side of a person. It would be a good thing if you try to find out who the real Anokhi is. She is very different from others.”
“I know she is different.”
“But you don’t know her completely. Have you ever tried to tightly grasp a fistfull of sand? You will never be able to. Anokhi is like that. The more tightly you will try to hold her, the more quickly she will slip out of your fingers. Give her some space. Handle her with the tenderness she deserves. If she is yours, she will come back to you and you only.”
“Shaurya who is it?” Shaurya was startled hearing Shaan’s voice.
Shaurya handed over the phone to his Dad and said, “You should be careful about calling her. If anyone finds out, you are going to land in big trouble.” Saying this, he went out.
As he walked down the corridor, he wondered how he could be on a call for so long with the woman whose voice he never wanted to hear. Strangely enough, he felt a lot lighter after this call, as if a heavy burden had been lifted off his chest.
