I want Shaurya to be really strong mentally as Devi is ready to manipulate him.. I was him to act smart and intelligent.. question everything back .. and tell his Devi Maa clearly.. whether he saw Shagun or not.. he doesn't love her as he loves Ms cutie bhalla💕💕..

The way strong headed Shaurya character is .

If he is shown falling to devis games.. it would be really stupid on creatives part. Shaurya till now.. is like he does what he has to.. no one can stop him.. eg.. he kidnapping Anokhi, fighting for her against his family, entering girls hostel.. and again.. I want him to be like this.. consistent.. unapologetic and stubborn.. 😎🥰

Here is something that I find very intriguing about Shaurya, It is hard to pin down what he truly believes and thinks. Some of it is probably because of confusing character sketch. The writers can't seem to decide how grey he should be. Granted, he has abandonment and anger management issues and savior complex but how much of that is truly him vs what is expected of him or circumstantial. I found it interesting that when he described his ideal partner, it was all very progressive. Not once did he talk about her catering to his family or depending on him. He wants her explicit consent to their relationship though frankly it does not come across in his actions with him constantly barging in her room. He is not confident that she will agree though, again very progressive of him.

There is also something odd I have noticed in his last few interactions with Badi Maa. Shaurya tries to wind up the discussion as quickly as possible by giving in and validating whatever she is saying. He almost never argues with her regardless of whether he agrees or not. However he almost always ends up doing what he wants or thinks when it is important enough to him.

When I put all the pieces together, It seems to me that he is just doing what is expected of him because he does not care either way. He probably imagines this is what love and family feels like. He seems to have a faint memory of love and happiness he once felt when he was a child playing with his parent in garden but he is not longer sure how real it was. It is not like anyone is actively asking him or fighting for him like his absentee parents. Badi Maa probably initiated the relationship with Shagun the first time and convinced him that he was in love ...he went with it; Badi Maa told him that Shagun wronged him and marital expectation by deciding to pursue her education, he broke the engagement in the most brutal way. There was almost no guilt or remorse or even an ounce of feelings related with the break-up.

Then Anokhi walked in and shook his world. He felt things that he never felt and that made him come across even more unhinged. He took his sweet time in trying to get clarity and deciding what he wanted. Now that he has decided he wants to pursue Anokhi, is he willing to fight or give in as in past remains to be seen. Regardless I still cannot grasp how regressive is his mentality. I think he is more of a masked progressive than a masked misogynist.

I think Anokhi will definitely be shocked when she hears what broke the engagement. Her PS has never shown that he is that regressive. He is jealous and constantly angry about one thing or other but he does not have typical patriarchal mindset that males of her family have had. It should also give her some insight on what she is up against and if Shaurya is truly worth the effort. I don't know if that will be a deal-breaker for her. I do hope if she decides to pursue a relationship with Shaurya, she openly talks about her expectations regarding her career and education and how that is non- negotiable.

You're right. What really bothers me is that Shaurya hasn't realised yet that what he did to Shagun was indeed wrong.

With Anokhi, its impossible to like anyone else cause she's immersed in him. You need think about ppl, to start liking them right!? But she only thought about Shaurya even when she disliked him. Like he plays in her mind constantly. And this makes it impossible to pay attention to other possible candidates.The whole reason she can't see anyone else and wont be able to is this. There's no logiv in why she only thinks about him all the time, but it is what it is! 😆

Bold: Totally! But Shaurya doesn't know this for sure...for every TFC she has had with him, she has had numerous cordial, pleasant (in his mind: giddy) conversations with the ACP...heck she has even gone on a date (Shaurya's mind) with the ACP while standing him up at the celebratory lunch! You bring up some excellent points.

@ bold - That’s the worrisome part. We’ve seen Shaurya confront his Bade papa, chacha and his own dad but never against Badi Ma. She is shown as someone who has total control over him. After Anokhi’s official arrival in his life , it will be interesting to see how this dynamic changes
