Okay, wrote about shaurya couple of days ago, thanks for such an amazing response to that post. Par I felt ki I should write something about my equally favourite rasgulla too lol š, since this is the first show where I love both ml and FL equally and hopefully it will continue like this.
First of all the fact ki iss show mein its the FL who is getting mixed responses is making me so happy. Generally kya hota hai ki Initially ML ko iss tarah ke mixed views ate hai, some say he has his reasons some say he is behaving rudely there is not an outright hate or love, itās very mixed which creates a mystery around the character, While FL is either blindly loved or blindly hated.
But, here shaurya ka it is sorted we all love him and understand almost all his actions.
Anokhi I know we all love her too bas sometimes Her actions donāt make sense, some say she has her reasons some say she is being stupid; but we all are trying to understand without giving her any blind love or blind hate.
Iss tarah ke discussions around FL itself is giving her a lot of shades and leaves room for so much character development (hopefully makers bank on this).
Now moving on to her actual character, she is very much damaged, almost equally to shaurya; fark itna hai ki she still had her mother and sister with her while shaurya was all alone jo thi wo bhi devil.
And when it comes to anokhi itās not just about pain and trauma, like how it is with shaurya.
She has never ever seen a good man in her life, a man who truly respects women. Her father brother jiju all are same, isiliye,
whenever she does see a glimpse of us such a man she suddenly raises him on a pedestal. She did the same with shaurya when he stopped her jiju and also that look of awe she gave to acp Ahir when he was dealing with that abusive man;
all of this just screams her need to feel secure and be in a safe place where she doesnāt have to live in constant fear, yes constant fear, equivalent to shauryaās constant loneliness.
Kab papaji ka gussa out of control ho jaaye, kab wo maarne lage, mujhse yeh galti ho gayi Kahin papaji mujhe ya mummyji ko maarenge to nahi ispe.
Even her diās house is not safe. She has learnt to stay happy in tiny moments, in Bad experiences se kuch seekhna jaise ki apne aap ko kuch banaana, sirf Beti, behen, patni ya maa se zyada, to not be dependent on anyone.
To live in constant fear as a child needs constant courage and to get that constant courage, itās two things, either accept it as your fate since accepting the situation becomes a necessity, in order to survive, when you canāt get out of it or one needs a hope From within, that ek din yeh sab khatam hoga, and for this hope to come to life, one needs to be a rebel. And, anokhi truly is one.
She has just one criteria to judge men, that is how respectful are they towards women. Ya toh they respect women or they donāt,
And hence she finds shaurya shocking and is unable to understand him,
And thus her dialogue that mujhe to hairani ho rahi hai ki jo insaan chaar din Pehle lad raha tha isi liye ki aapko acha nahi lagta ki koi auraton ki
Disrespect Karta hain aur aaj aap apni maa ke saath aise baat kar rahe hai woh bhi unke aisi condition mein.
She raised him on a pedestal suddenly On that Valentineās Day and now him behaving like this with his mother is making her question her judgement, a judgement which is very important for her.
How can she continue with her aap apni maa se aise kaise baat kar Sakte hai when she herself has faced abuse at the hands of her father.
But this is what is different, anokhi knows whatever her father does is because he is a misogynist and she has faced all this bcs she is a girl.
She has seen aastha who is such a strong women probably the only woman she knows who is this independent, and to see her breakdown and the way shaurya talked to his mother, she directly thinks how can he talk like this with her,
and somewhere the respect that she has for him since the valentineās day Is getting a huge blow.
Probably for the first time she saw a man standing for her against the abuse, and made her feel safe, we all saw the respect and grateful ness she had in her eyes, she also conveyed it to him, we all saw the respect in her eyes when he was there solving the molestation issue and after all this, now Even he is behaving like this with another woman who is his mother who is her guru, her Dusri maa, that women who never broke down is now totally shattered since the time he has said those harsh words to her.
And therefore she cannot understand shaurya specially when the respect that she has for him is on the verge of shattering.
She respects Shaan so much since she has only seen him respecting women, once all the truth is out and she understands the scenario, it will be a learning journey for her ki just respecting women is not enough, standing up for people you love, for the right is equally important; which shaurya will do for her when he overcomes his own insecurities.
This is also going to be her journey in understanding how just judging the other person by one quality is not a good judgement and should not be taken at its face value, some situations are much complex (as shaurya said)
She is someone who Values education a lot, her identity as a women as a human being a lot, and is someone who can never compromise on that.
She is someone who Has built her own wings with Aastha giving the flight to her wings; but those wings that she has built are deeply scarred, she has an indefinite amount of courage but is equally vulnerable. She is very much strong on her own but there still exists a deep desire that for once, someone else being her shield, being a shoulder to cry on, giving her a hand to hold on too when she is pushed down.
She is very much independent but desires someone on whom she can depend on when the time comes since she has been way too strong for a long time now.
She is Anokhi but the fact is there are millions of Anokhis in the world, all wanting to fly With the wings of their own no matter how scarred they are, in a sky which is hellbent on pushing them down.
Idk what I have written but I connect and relate to both anokhi and shaurya on a personal level in some way or the other, had already written about shaurya so just thought of this.
