The Sabharwals did not love shaurya unconditionally....

It's confirmed that tej and devi can not have their own children

So the only eldest child is shaurya and that too a boy

If shaurya was really showered with love...he would have long forgotten astha..after all he was only 4-5 yrs old...he would be a happy child..

But only thing devi did was feed him with hatred against his mother...

I can never accept it as love

True love would have healed a little child long back...many children with traumatic past..if given the care..have grown up fine..i have seen such..

And most importantly...neither does he open up to them ..except hatred for astha..because that's the only thing Sabharwals listened and encouraged him with..

I have seen Adopted children heal from childhood trauma if they are loved and feel secure. With Tej and Devi he had always the feeling of Obligation. They are not his parents. They are his Uncle and Aunt. If they had adopted him that wouldn't have given him the sense of Obligation and gratitude he feels towards them for taking him under their protection because he is constantly reminded of the fact that his mother left him and his father is useless.

Exactly...that constant reminder is what is not letting him heal...leave love..they filled only hatred in him with every breath

No child can heal from a trauma if they are constantly reminded of it. Shaurya is the same. The 4 year old boy who was left behind by his mother is still in him, coated with negativity and hatred fed by his supposedly "loving family". The fact that his own family doesn't know the smallest details about him clearly shows that. It's sad but I guess this is the true essence of this show.

Shaurya has lot of gratitude for Devi & Tej not love

He always felt that they have done a favor on him not duty

He feels obligated that they watched over him when his own biological parents did not 🤔

It’s kind of funny that Aastha told shaurya that she was thrown out of sabharwal mansion

While earlier she walked out to support her parents ( Did they change her part of the story for more sympathy 😛)

&

what was shaan doing then ?🤪

Watching his wife being thrown out and his son being snatched 🤢 Really ????

I just don’t think I will ever redeem the character of shaan ever

Don't get me started on Shaan. He is so pathetic as a character. Yes he is obligated by his uncle and aunt rather than love.

He had the feeling of Obligation and gratitude because he was constantly reminded him of that..his mother left him..if not..he was a 4 yr kid..who would have long forgotten it...so love was not there at all...

The Sabharwals are incapable of loving anyone unconditionally because their maan, maryada and guroor comes in the way. Nothing comes before that. They are ready to go to all lengths to get rid of anyone who challenges their age old norms. That is what they did with Aastha. And they kept poisoning Shaurya's mind so that Aastha's free ideas never influence him.

Even though Aastha let Shaurya stay with them ( whatever the reason ), she never wanted to be totally cut-off. She wanted to keep in touch and the Sabharwals never allowed that.

They instilled hatred for Aastha in Shaurya's mind not only to keep Aastha away but to keep everything that she stands for away from him. So that Shaurya too stays miles away from liberal ideas of women empowerment, gender equality, individual freedom and becomes a custodian of their patriarchial values. In the process, even if for hatred, Aastha lived somewhere in Shaurya's mind.
