CHAPTER 4

NEXT MORNING 5:30 AM

Anu comes to the terrace to dry her clothes and what she sees is the light was on and rajat had fallen asleep with his laptop opened on his lap. For a minute anu was lost in his innocence but later realisation dawned and she switched off the light then slowly closed his laptop held one of his hand pulled the laptop from his lap and turned to keep it on the table...but suddenly someone held her hand so tight and pulled her hand back and twisted it. Yes it was rajat

RAJAT- kya kar rahi ho tum? Kya chahti ho mere laptop se? kaun ho tum??

Anu is still struggling to pull her hand but the more she pulls he drags her closer

ANU- hum anushka hai. Aur hum sirf aapke laptop ko table par rakh rahe the. Humein nahi pata tha ki aap aise react karenge

He couldn't believe what he heard so he turned her towards him. She had closed her eyes tightly as her handed hurt a lot. He was shocked

RAJAT- tum???

ANU- haan hum!! ( and she opened her eyes and a single drop of tear flows down)

He quickly releases her off his grip. Pulls his laptop and runs down the stairs, not able to believe what he did.and moreover regretted for what he did

AT ANU'S ROOM

ANU- kaisa aadmi hai yeh! Hey Shankar ji dekhiye kya haal kar diya mere haat ko

SHASTRI- yeh lo anu beta paise

He gives her the money and goes

Anu is still in deep thoughts thinking what was the reason for him to over react

AT THE COLLEGE ... Morning 7:30

Anu paid the fees and came to know that her college starts after one month but till then they had NCC classes daily. After paying the fees she reached the ground where all the NCC cadets had assembled. They all waited for their new trainer.

It was sharp 8:00 when a tall hadsome young man,wearing the IAF uniform and black shades walked upto them . all the students assembled

He removed his shades and cap and said...

RAJAT- so trainees main hoon appka naya trainer rajat sareen

Anushkas eyes popped out, at the same time rajat saw anu in a salwar suit standing among the students both of them thought...

ANU- yeh yahaan hamara trainer??

RAJAT- yeh yahaan bhi aa gayi!! Never mind!

RAJAT- toh students aajse aap ek week tak theen cheezein seekenge. Pehla march past doosra track events and third main aapko dikhata hoon and he went to a place and jumped and caught a iron rod and started travelling through the tunnel of iron rods by just holding them. Within two minutes he had finished it

RAJAT- is everything clear.

STUDENTS- yes sir!

All of them marched vry well and next was the 100 meters dash. As and when the students finished the race they had to start the iron rod task.

RAJAT- ready...get set...go( he started the stop watch)

To his amaze, he saw anu had almost reached the finish line when all of them were just half way through. She finished her race and started the iron rod for her height she had to jump a lot but finally she caught hold the rod and started the task but when she was halfway done , she slipped because her hand hurt a lot !( the morning wala incident caused a lot of pain)

Right then rajat came to her rescue her held her by her waist. She was still in the air he gently brought her outside the tunnel and asked

RAJAT- are u alright??

ANU- haan..( and she turned her back held her hand and whined in a silent cry. )

She started walking from there. He also followed her

RAJAT- anu ruko. Kya hua kuch toh bolo?

And he held her hand

ANU- aah... chodiye hamara haath

He saw her eyes were filled with tears he saw her hand. The impression of his hand was clearly shown

He closed his eyes recollecting what he did

RAJAT- im really sorry anu. Please mujhe maaf kar do

He took her to the health centre and applied the medicine

RAJAT- im really sorry. Mujhe nahi pata tha ki..

ANU- its ok rajat ho jata hai kabhi kabhi. Lekin aapne aisa kyun react kiya subah??

He couldn't tell her that he was working on his secret mission. He thought for a while and said

RAJAT- nahi anu who mujhe ek bura sapna aa gaya usme main chor ko pakadne hi wala tha aur tumne mera haath pakad liya and I thought...

ANU- chor???( and she started laughing) thik hai. Koi baat nahi agle time main aapse do kadam door hi rahoongi!!

RAJAT- toh tumne mujhe maaf kiya??

ANU- haan lekin ek shart par!

RAJAT- kya shart??

ANU- agar aapko sona hoga toh aap kabhi bhi chat pe nahi soyenge

They both have a hearty laugh. And then rajat said

RAJAT- friends??...( he brought forward his hand)

ANU- friends..( and they both shared a handshake)

RAJAT- anu ghar ja rahi ho?? Mere saath aao na main bhi ghar ja raha hoon

ANU- nahi humein devyani ka fees bharna hai.

RAJAT- toh chalo main bhi chalta hoon

And they both pay the fees and head towards home

The bike stops anu and rajat have a clash because of the speed. Devyani saw and felt really jealous of anushka.

AT SHASTRI HOUSE

DEVYANI- tum toh badi kush ho na? rajat k bike pe ride jo mila?

ANU- yeh kya bakwaas kar rahi ho? Who sirf mere dost hain

And anu walks into the house

DEVYANI POV- dost..!!! hum bhi dekhte hain kitne din tum dost bolti ho

ANU- papa humne devyani aur hamara fees bhar diya. Hum dono ka college ek mahina baad hi khul raha hai. Lekin humein NCC ke liye roz subah 3hrs jana hai

SHASTRI- achcha hai beta.

Shastri gets a call from bua ji he walks into the room talks and comes out after 5 minutes.

SHASTRI- alka beta!! Alka beta!! Yahaan aao zara

ALKA- ji papa

SHASTRI- beta didi ne tumhare liye ek bahut hi achcha rishta doondha hai! Who log bhi Kanpur k hi hain lekin delhi mein rehte hain

Alka kept quiet but she had a smile on her face

SHASTRI- aaj sham ko tumhe dekhne aa rahe hain beta.

ANU- ladke ka naam kya hai papa??

SHASTRI- uska naam rohan pandey hai.

DEVYANI- wow yeh toh badi acchhi baat hai. alka didi ko main hi taiyyaar karoongi!

PIYA- waah didi! Aapko ladka dekhne aa rahe hain. Yeh toh bahut khush hone waali baat hai. Devyani didi main bhi aapki madad karoongi

Piya and devyani go to the room to select the dress for alka. Shastri ji also leaves for work saying that he would come sson

ANU- didi humein pata hai aap confused ho. Aisa toh nahi hain na ki aapko isi ladke se shaadi karna hai. Aap unse mil leejiye agar aapko pasand ayega toh haan kar dena.

ALKA- haan anu tum thik keh rahi ho. Hum agar ek baar baat karenge toh humein pata chalega
