Well . Cvs went so far with destroying Niel's character.

My theory is a little more elaborate and will seem farfetched...but if we go with the premise that Niel is good.
1) The call Niel got was not from a customer but from a client but from karishma's father.
2)For some reason he is controlling Niel (maybe he has the real kajal and/or buaji captive).
3)If he loved his mother more he would have accepted kajal...If I go by this reasoning then I can say whatever reason he gave for the MMS thing were lies to cover up him being controlled.

If niel is a villian then yes they have destroyed his character.
If not then something like above may be the case.The above scenario sets up an interesting set up where the sisters think it is Niel who is bad or that Kajal is the main villian but it is actually someone behind the scenes It will be fun to see the sisters doing detective work against an unknown villian i.e they think kajal is the main villian but she is a small fish.

as a bonus Niel comes out from this situation relatively clean

Did you notice @Naran that even Kajal is recieving many calls these days?

If you are telling that Kajal is getting more calls that is an interesting observation.
I just hope that it happens something like I have said otherwise i will be disappointed.I used to watch meri aashiqui tumse hi but now have stopped after it became ridiculous.
This show has great potential I hope they don't squander it.
BTW what is CVS?

aisa kuch hoga ya nahi main nahi jantaa.But the thing is as I have said earlier Kajal and Leela want money i.e they are small fishes ...but Karishma and her father are the bigger fishes and their goal is to destroy sarrens-shastries.Because it was Neel , Devyani and anu (especially Neel because he made a back up, if he had not anu would have been put out ) who were responsible for uncovering Karishmas nefarious plans.
I do not know whether the writers will do this or not but I think you will agree that it is an interesting scenario.
