Sudha Chandran will soon be entering Shastri Sisters and will be seen playing the role of Buaji. According to sources, "Buaji will be an authoritative and traditional character. She plays the role of Neha Pednekar aka Alka Shastri's husband's bua. Once she enters the house, she questions Alka's absence. The family has no choice when she gets Alka back to the sasural from her maayka without knowing that Alka has received divorce papers from her husband." When contacted, Sudha confirmed the news and told us, "This is a very positive character that I am playing. Most of the characters that I have played have been termed as homebreakers so I wanted to play a character which would give me a chance to become a 'homemaker
Sudha told us that she was consciously avoiding doing a lot of daily soaps in the last three-four years. "I didn't want people to feel that there is an overdose of Sudha Chandran on TV. Also, I had started feeling that I am being repetitive. Once an actor starts feeling that, it's not a good thing. So, I decided to stay away away from daily soaps and I worked down South. I judged reality shows and I am also a part of a Tamil soap, that is a remake of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya. I play the role of Kokila Modi in the Tamil version of the show," she revealed.
