Alka's outbursts

I completely sympathize with this girl Alka.Being the eldest is mostly frustrating. You are constantly reminded of your responsibilities, even though you are a kid you have to act like a grown up matured person all the time. You always have to set an exemplary example before your younger siblings. Things are worst if you are a girl child.You become the caretaker of family's honor and pride. Whereas the younger ones are more liberated without much Botheration. If they do something wrong , parents start questioning you first.

I also sympathize with Alka alright - I would probably do the same too, if I were in such a situation..But the thing I dont agree with is her attitude to her family members.. I feel that she should have been a little more considerate to her dad, especially since the otherwise conservative Mr. Shastri came down and tried to make peace.

Even in intial episodes when dey r abt to go to Delhi bua says Alka dat u r d eldest n take care of all but she says ya I m eldest but only 3-4 age difference it doesnt matter.. Anushka s there to take care of all our daadi amma 😆 (dialougs something like dis)

Alka has some inferiority complex ,dat she told Rajeev dat she s not beautiful like anushka n smart like devyani... Still u loves me??

She loves films n live in filmy world (shastri ji said once)...n its her first proposal so just slipped in Rajeev proposal...

I agree Devyani's behaviour s also not good to Alka...she can speak calmly...

Nice post but since i started watching dis series i havent seen a day wen she iz being responsible towards her family...wen shastri sisters were bout to leave for delhi. ..alka was d one who left her sisters waiting for her at railway station coz of rajeev...den after reaching their pia got missing coz of alka...after dat she wanted to talk to rajeev so sent pia to market n neil bullied her..devyani n anushka saved her...if dis was not enough she was really annoying d way she behaved wid her father n sisters...at last till now i dont like alka's character..

Alka definitely is a responsible daughter and a responsible sister...She has never acted to be self centered before and she did not have anything to go self centered. Her father and her sisters was her world...

Only after Rajeev fiasco Alka started thinking about herself... otherwise she did not have any business other than her family... I agree she does not know how to manage the family, like how Anushka does... but she serves them according to her capacity and capability, which is the house hold things... She has never enjoyed her life, but just been a caretaker of her sisters...

But for every person who suppress their feelings, would have an outburst which ruins every sacrifices you did till then... and that happened with Alka...

Many members feel that Alka is a responsible daughter. If she was responsible enough why did she let Rani Bhabhi misguide her? Why didn't she ask Rajeev if he told his family about her? Why didn't she open her mouth when her father kept asking.
