In all probability she is gone.

Well..this is true, in some Puranas.. shani kicks sangya's womb thinking she is his mother because of her ill-treatment, as an insult to the womb who gave him birth not knowing she is not his real mother.

She casts curse on him that his leg will be infected and rot away. Surya Dev is surprised that how could she curse Shani. Shani's actions are understandable because he is just a child, but a mother can't curse her child like that. He then learns the truth about chhaya and Shani's real mother.

He heals Shani's leg but leaves a mark.. this is one of the reasons it is said..shani walks slowly.

In sone stories chhaya curses Yam..

I wouldn't say I'm happy that Shani kicks Sangya and getting cursed but in one way Sangya and Chaya's truth will unfold in front of everyone. And, this way if Sangya gets her dues it's fine since Chaya had to go through a lot because of selfish Sangya. Waiting to see how will Yam and Yami will react with their mother.
