If one day she decides to fight for them, and they refuse her because she took medical help, then that will be their loss not hers.

Heer should care first about what is best for her family and for Virat because they are the ones who fought for her and believed in her and if this surgery is possible and can make their life better by stopping society from insulting and mocking them, than she should do it.

I kinda disagree with you about her fighting for Kinnars cause they tried to drag her into their world. Besides the bandits Kareena and Angel, who were doing Parmeet’s bidding, Malika Ma’am and her group have always supported and been there for Heer. Ya, when her identity was revealed they wanted to take her....it was better if they had and we won’t have had to endure all the crap post that.

Yes, it is true that Malika Aunty and her community defended Heer, but I think she did that mostly when her life was in danger or when she was kidnapped by gangsters kinnars.

But, when it came to supporting the idea of Heer being raised and educated to live in society as a normal human being, I perceived her as being almost always against it. I haven't watched all the episodes when Heer was little, but I know that there was a time when Saumya used to live in fear that Malika Aunty will kidnap Heer. Then, when Heer grew up, she always irritated Preeto by constantly remanding her to send Heer to her community because it will be safer for her, a thing that I never liked it. Begging on the street can't be safe as we could see... Heer ended up being insulted and she was almost molested when she practiced this. I always wondered how could she wanted such a life for Heer knowing the risks that were involved?

Later, she tried to stop Heer's wedding with Virat by revealing in front of everyone her true identity. And wanted to take away Virat's right to perform his wife's last rites. It was only because of Chameli Aunty that she backed off.

Mostly, I found her behavior plain strange and sometimes even stupid, I must say, giving the fact that she was the one who brought this curse upon Heer.

She didn't want Heer to end up being with gangster kinnars, but she wanted Heer to beg with her on the streets and at the events. Except from Nutan and Chameli Aunty, all the other kinnars went along with her because they have to listen to what she says.

That's why I don't think Heer owns kinnars that much that she should sacrifice herself and refuse medical treatment, so she can always look like them because otherwise the kinnars' community will accuse her of betraying her true identity or something... After all, it was her family who fought to raise her as a human being and gave her education and took all the taunts that came along with and not the kinnars... So, I believe she should do what's best for her and for her family.

I am not saying that kinnars are wrong, they think the way they do because that's what the society taught them to think. And they take pride in who they are. Some of them had a problem even with Saumya being married, so they will surely have a problem with Heer having a surgery if she ever decides to fight for them. Again, I am not saying that she should not fight for them, but getting a surgery and later trying to defend their rights may not work. Kiddnars may not accept her.

exactly....and this show in 4 or 5 years has still not shown any change in the way kinnars are viewed by society ..rather they’ve focused on family and relationship issues...so they should just give heer what she wants...she wants to be a complete woman, and a complete wife and have a complete marital relationship....so that should be it..and maybe it will send out a message to the kinnars...that medical intervention can help them become normal women, and marry and have normal marital relationships 🤷🏻‍♀️....because the kinnars in Shakti want to be normal women or men..

From what I've read some cases can be solved through surgery, some not. Saumya could have become a complete woman by going through the surgery and Harman stopped her. But, what for? The physical pain caused by the surgery would have been gone in a couple of weeks/months, but the mental pain caused by others who kept insulting her for being a kinnar lasted for years and was never cured.

So, I don't see why a kinnar should not try surgery if it's possible just because they want to show kinnars' empowerment and not women's empowerment. I don't understand why the producer dismissed the request of Harman and Saumya's fans of turning Saumya into a complete woman. It was not fair. The show it's about kinnars, and they should be open-minded and present all the possibilities that are for them to live as normal people in society: some can get medical treatment, some can study and work, they can adopt children, become ambassadors for kinnar's rights or other oppressed people, do almost what any other normal people do etc.

But what concerns me is that this show is based on a kinnar though what they show is disgusting by then completely changing the astitva of heer would mean changing the crux of the serial which idk whether Rashmi Sharma would do. But, I would be rather happy if it happens.

1. They are rich families and can afford a surgery.

2. Like discussed, she was cursed and it is unfair.

I do not see any reason for it to fail unless they tell there is some danger to her life blah and abort the surgery.

The main plot of the show is around the lady being a kinnar. That is why I don't have hopes regarding the surgery.

It is getting boring. I don't understand the need of so many negative characters in the show. Now Angel is back. I can't bear her one bit. Isha and that bhaiya bhabhi r annoying too.

Oh gosh, I can’t stand Angel. And from Kamya Ma’am’s post, she brought a whole crew. 🙄 I don’t understand why so many negative ppl in Shakti. Harak n SB Singh families were enough 😂😂 And I’m getting a bad vibe about Dr. A...as if he too will turn negative. Agree, the dr’s bro n SIL are annoying as hell. I want I to give Parmeet a few more hits before leaving the show, if she is indeed leaving. 🤔

I really wish Dr doesn't become negative. He seems sane apart from Harak's family and his own family + SB family.
