In today's episode of SM, Preeti gets skin shamed for her skin tone. But what some people says about this.

"We are in living in 2020".

"Damm these makers had forgot we are living in 21st century. Our society had changed quiet a lot".

Society had changed, 21st century we are modern MY FOOT !!! Makers are showing us the reality and reality is always better and bitter both.

LOL if society had changed then BLACK LIVES MATTER wouldn't have been a protest !!!

People wanna see a realistic show and when the makers are trying to show the realistic side of our society. People are complaining !!! Whoaaah !

ACCEPT THE REALITY YOU SO CALLED "MODERN" PEOPLE.

Preeti is an example of a VICTIM who get body/skin shamed and Mrs Goplani here is a BULLY. Not everywhere you will find modern people, and hello by modern i didnt meant wearing fashionable outfits and walking around with an iphone.

For eg Mrs Goplani....

THE SO CALLED MODERN WOMAN AND A BITTER REPRESENTATION OF OUR SOCIETY.

By modern i meant by thinking modern. Soch modern hogi tabhi duniya modern hogi.

Try to understand the gesture of the makers,

DONT BE LIKE MRS GOPLANI & DEFINITELY DONT BE LIKE PREETI WHO IS NOT HAPPY OR PROUD WITH HER COMPLEXION.

BE LIKE, NONE OF THEM.

And thats the point here.

Yes! There might be such people still existing in society but showing such things in this particular serial doesnt go well because the show isnt about it. It seems very repetitive for rajashree thakur as an actor as well. No need to point out her complexion (which is actually wonderful) in every show she does.

The silliest/funniest thing in today's episode was Mrs Goplani having fun while KT was flirting with her, whose skin tone is actually brown as well and the next moment she has problem with a lady dressed in a dignified manner and has a similar skin tone to that of KT. Now this looks illogical and shows the double standards of the character indirectly the makers who are using rajashree's skin tone in their plot🙄

Well you have a point here. KT also has a brown skin tone but he didnt got humiliated for it whereas Preeti got. This shows the hypocrisy of Mrs Goplani.

You are right. Modernity is no less regressive than our historical past. You are bang on here.

Whoever here is dismissing this issue because its 21st century and the makers are still showing it, please remember that art reflects society and vice-versa.

And to every point in the initial post 👏
