Do you think we lost the shock value in Kusum's reality check?

I just loved Kusum's performance in yesterday's episode, about giving Preeti a reality check on how she is still a part of Indian Society of Hypocrisy where she will invest her life on her son but hesitate at the slightest help from her daughter.

It was so interesting that she had been a maid all these days at Tarun's home and she didn't mind one bit, but Kusum treated her like a maid for one day and she lost her cool and decided to leave the place.

She didn't even think of going to Pushkar (I mean DABH reference, whatte coincidence!! 🤣) even once, even when she got to know Tarun sold her house. Tarun actually drove her out, she didn't leave herself, and all her talks of self-respect flooded in at Juhi's house.

Kusum was so apt!!

But I do think the scene would have had so much more impact if the makers had kept actual intentions of Kusum a secret up until today. All of us assuming she is grey, and bam!! The revelation.

Would have been so much more fun right??

May be yes -it was turning point for preeti - Kusum relation.

Or that spoiler is the reason people like me following every episodes upto now … for a nayi soch....

I think same way we lost shock value : with KT- Chanda part too.

It was turning point for KT / reality check - they could have focused more on it.... just my POV

Yes, but now we know why Kusum hated Preeti, because Preeti remained her sanskaari self instead of changing with time.

I am sure there will be ups and downs with their relationship, especially because Piyu doesn't genuinely like Preeti's presence.

I strongly feel she may have wanted to marry Tushar but he chose Rati, which is why she cribs about compromising everytime.

For KT's reveal, there is still a lot to know, like why his ex still sends him anniversary gifts (maybe it was her fault they split but the world thinks otherwise). I am thinking her entry will be pretty later in the show when KT and Preeti's profession has stabilized and romance possibly creeps in.

We all know Preeti is not interested and now it's confirmed for KT as well that all his flirting is for fun and even he is not interested in moving on, so things will be purely professional initially.

Yeah it would have been awesome as a surprise, but I think the promo probably kept some people interested as well.

Loved the way she said I didn't like that you came here, not because you are my daughter-in-law's mother but because I don't like you! 😆

Yes probably why she wants to patch up. I may have missed something on the child, will rewatch on Hotstar

No idea. They haven't shown anything. But the dialogue I remember.

I'm actually enjoying the quick reveals that are happening so far in the show. They didn't keep Kusum's intentions hidden for months and months. She was mean for one day and then bam! We find out what her true intentions are.

What Kusum said was lovely. It's so true as well. Our parents teach us that our saas is like our mother, not that she is our mother. Our parents feel that girls are not theirs after marriage and thus they shouldn't even come as a guest to our houses. But the same is not true for sons. Why? The old saying "a daughter is a daughter all her life" applies here and Kusum pointed it out aptly.

I also loved how she taught Rati a lesson as well. Kaash she was there to teach Chanda a lesson as well.

I’m liking the real life lessons this serial is showing to us! 👍🏼
