"To make a great film you need three things the script, the script and the script. Alfred Hitchcock

Honestly, tell me how many good films, good Indian films you have seen off late and by your frown, squeezing of the eyes trying hard to recollect, you have answered my question, which is a no.

Ever since actors came to the foreground, the really important stuff such as story, script, direction that make a great movie have receded to the background and with it good cinema and films that remain a classic for a long, long time

But actors cannot be blamed for this nor their fans as it is now the current trend all over the world and all the average filmgoer wants is mass entry scenes, mass dialogues and mass comedy scenes of their favorite heroes.

If we have Rajini, Vijay, Ajith, Salman doing mass scenes then the rest of the world is drowning in even more mega films of mega heroes such as Spiderman, Batman, Aquaman, venom, Wonder woman, Superman, Deadpool, Iron man, Thor etc.

I guess you understand my drift about the state of today's movies and sadly this has seeped into Malayalam cinema too and that is why a great actor like Mammootty's entry in any film today is first of his shoes, coolers, fingers and then the man himself stands and walks in slow motion and from there it is all downhill.

For today, films are more about style and packaging than content. What do they say about empty vessels? right. thank you.

Ennada nadakuthu inge.

Many years ago, I dragged my friend Seeni to Safire theater to see a film called Oru Cbi diary kurippu and he moaned, groaned and complained that he would not be able to make sense of the language and pointed out that neither could I and that I was forcing him to go along only because my girlfriend happened to be a Malayali.

I glared at him and told him " If it is bad we will walk out, promise" and so we sat in our seats and the darkness was soon banished by the lights that were sent streaming by a projector on to the white screen.

Most of us are suckers for thrillers and murder mystery movies and as the title proclaimed, the film indeed opened with the death of a woman and which is first passed of as a suicide, But the dead woman's family says it is a murder and it finally comes to the CBI department for investigation.

I knew from the posters that Mammootty was the hero but strangely did not make an appearance until the 47th minute of the film and since the story was so good that nobody noticed this. Can you imagine a film today of one of the reigning stars running for 47 minutes without his introduction?

But it can be done if the story and its narration is good but tell me how many directors and producers have the balls to open a film without a hero in its first 47 minutes. Sorry, nobody.

That is because the whole film is about the hero, the hero and only the hero and his walk, talk, look and turn and OMG, I am dying here.

And then a senior CBI officer picks up the phone and says " Sethu, please come here" and the background music changes and fills the air with its now all too familiar CBI DIARY THEME and the door opens and in walks Mammootty as DYSP Sethu Madhavan and Seeni turned to me and whispered " Otha, Enna smarta irukkaan intha aalu" and I with my open gob that had dropped open with my lower jaw " Aaamaanda, semma handsome. Herona ippadi thaan irakkanum."

This was sometime in 1988 or 1989 and exactly 12 years later I saw Mammootty in flesh and blood at the now demolished shooting location called Kushal das Garden on Poonamallee road opposite Pachaiyappas college.

I was shooting for the sun tv serial Mandhira vaasal and whispers filled the air " Mammootty, Mammootty" and forgetting that I was the hero of the serial, I ran excitedly to the entrance and there stood the man himself.

Dressed like a typical Malayali in a Dhoti and a sky blue shirt, he stood amused at the world around him as they went around in awe and wonder and not at Mammootty but his new Toyota Land Cruiser that he had imported and this was in 2001.

Everyone with him went around the cream-colored vehicle and I stood gaping at Mammootty himself and went back to my work satisfied with the darshan.

The whole day, I worked on the serial down below while above on the top floor my hero worked on his Malayalam film and I thought " obviously heavens are meant to be above and mere mortals down below."

The Secret behind why Tirupati Balaji is called GOVINDA is a wonderful and very interesting story

Forwarded by Whatsapp so don't mind the English for what is important is Govinda

A lovely incident happened when Lord Vishnu came to Bhuloka in search of Mahalaxmi

when he entered Bhuloka as usual, he got human qualities like thirst and hunger, this following incident is a conversation between Lord Srinivasa and Sage Agastya Muni...

Lord Srinivasa once went to the hermitage of Sage Agastya and said "Munindra, I have come to Bhu Loka (Earth) on a particular mission and going to stay here till the end of the Kali Yuga.I'm very fond of Cow milk and need one for my daily needs. I know you have a large Gosaala with many Cows. Can you offer me one Cow for my needs.

Sage Agastya smiled and said "Swamy, I know very well that you are Lord Sri Maha Vishnu in the human form of Srinivasa. I'm so happy that the creator and the ruler of this universe has come to my hermitage and seeking a favor from me.

But, I also know your Maya, Swamy and know that you have come all the way to test my devotion.

"So Swamy, please allow me to follow the rules. The Holy Cow should only be gifted to a man who comes and seeks it along with his wife. I shall certainly be happy to gift a Cow to you but will only be able to do so when you come to my hermitage along with my Mother Goddess Lakshmi and ask for it. Until then You will have to forgive me, Swamy.

Lord Srinivasa smiled and said, Ok Munidra, I shall certainly do what you wanted me to do. and returned to his place.

Later Lord Srinivasa married Goddess Padmavathi. Some days after their marriage, Lord Srinivasa came to Sage Agastya maha muni's hermitage along with His divine consort Padmavathi to seek the Holy Cow. But the Sage was not there in the Hermitage. His disciples who did not know who Lord Srinivasa was asked Him"Who are you and what can we do for you?..

The Lord replied, My name is Srinivasa and she's my wife Padmavathi. I asked your acharya to offer me a Cow for my daily needs. But he wanted me to come along with my wife and take it. So I have come now. Will you please inform your acharya that I have come. said Lord Srinivasa.

"Our Acharya is not here in the ashram right now. So please come again later to collect your Cow. said the humble disciples of Sage Agastya.

Lord Srinivasa smiled and said, I agree. But I'm supreme ruler of this entire place so you can trust me and offer me one Cow. I cannot come again"

"Maybe you are the ruler of this place and maybe this entire universe. But our divine acharya is supreme to us and we shall not do anything that displeases him and also without his knowledge and permission" replied the stubborn disciples.

Smiling gently, the holy Lord said, "I value your respect towards your Acharya. Please convey him when he returns, that Srinivasa had come from Gnanadri hills along with his wife to seek the Cow from him.

Saying so Lord Srinivasa turned back and started walking towards the seven hills of Tirumala.

Exactly after a couple of minutes, Sage Agastya returned to the hermitage and was extremely disappointed when he heard from his disciples about the arrival of Lord Srinivasa during his absence.

Thinking loudly, how unfortunate really I'm not to be there at the hermitage when Sri Mahanarayana himself graced along with my divine mother Lakshmi, the holy sage immediately rushed into the Gosala (Cow shed); took a Govu (Telugu word meaning Cow) and started running in the direction Lord Srinivasa and Goddess Padmavathi were going.

After running a few paces He found at a long distance, Lord Srinivasa going along with His divine consort Padmavathi. Running behind them the holy sage started shouting
"Swamy, Govu Inda (Govu means cow and Inda means take in telugu)

Swamy, Govu Inda.. Swamy, Govu Inda.. Swamy, Govu Inda..

But the Lord didn't turn back. Increasing the speed of his running, the Sage Agastya started shouting more loudly and very devotionally

"..Swamy, Govu Inda.. Swamy, Govu Inda.. Swamy, Govu Inda.. (Swamy, take this Cow).. Swamy, Govu Inda.. Swamy, Govu Inda.. Swamy, Govu Inda.. Swamy, Govu Inda.. Swamy, Govu Inda.. ( oh my lord take this cow ) Swamy, Govu Inda.. but still lord didn't turn back ...

Hurriedly increasing the speed of his shouting, the holy sage from here on started involuntarily saying the following sacred words.. The noble sage thought he was saying Swamy Govu Inda' but see what it turned out to be..

"...Swamy Govinda.. Swamy Govindaa.. Swamy Govindaa.. Swamy Govinda.. Swamy Govindaa.. Swamy Govindaa.. Swamy Govinda..Swamy Govindaa.. Swamy Govinda.. Swamy Govindaa.. Swamy Govindaa.. Govinda.Govinda.. Govindaa.. Govinda.. Govinda..

Govindaa.. Govinda.. Govindaaa..

After some more shouting from the holy sage, a smiling Lord Sri Venkateswara and Goddess Padmavathi turned back and then while accepting the Holy Cow from him, said,

"Priya Munindra, knowingly or unknowingly you have by now recited my most favorite name Govinda 108 times I'm going to reside in Eka Murthy idol form on this sacred GNANADRI hills until the end of the 28th Kali Yuga. As long as I'm residing here in Bhu Loka in this idol form I shall be called by this name by all my devotees.

If there is one thing I have learnt in nearly 23 years of being in this business of entertainment, that is to expect the unexpected and never take anything for granted and if there is one thing I have always believed in and trusted implicitly then that is my own instinct and the little knowledge I have about my craft.

People will talk about method acting, acting styles, acting schools, film institutes, Koothu pattarai, stage acting and training and a lot more as to how it is done and all that will be lost in a jiffy when the lights come on and drown you in their brilliance and then you have some directors who will yell " Action" and scare the piss out of you and you will think to yourself and wonder " W*F MAN, why the f..k do you want to yell so loudly and that too with a megaphone that God himself can hear up in the heavens."

I am okay with it for I confess that I am a bit of a tough and aggressive bas***d and willingly step forward head on and take up the challenge of delivering the shots in the scene.

What I find truly intriguing and irritating is why some of the directors yell as if their pants and houses are on fire when you can do the same thing with a gentle and soft approach.

If there is one interview that I have watched over and over again, then that is the interview of Clint Eastwood in one of the episodes of In The Actors Studio where he is asked a question about how he directs.

Actor, Producer, composer, writer, and Director Clint Eastwood when directing a scene whispers softly " Ready when you are " and circles his finger to signal to the cameraman to roll and ends the shot with another soft " Okay".

Now, tell me, is there any why his films are so beautiful to watch and also end up profitable.

The director rather than yelling as if he just got a message from his wife that she is eloping with the driver or milkman would do a lot better by creating an environment where all the technicians including the actors can work, deliver and give their full potential.

Creation, all things to do with film business is creation and isn't it true that creation works better when all things work in harmony and without chaos.

Keep on dreaming you old dog.

From my experiences of 10 films, 45 tv serials, a web series. and nearly 450 ad and corporate films, I have seen, witnessed that everybody carries some sort of personal baggage or problems to the set and unload and unleash it in the work environment and it is like the proverbial shit hitting the ceiling.

Human beings and their Egos, what can I tell you that you already don't know about.

I personally have given my best and what I had at that point to very few people and the name of that person at the top of that short list is " Sushmaaji " or maaji as I lovingly called her and it was for the Malayalam Tv serial called " Saarthakam".

I also work best and give my best when the director looks at me and tells " Satish, I know you can do this and I am going to leave you alone. I will only correct if the tone of the performance either goes up or too down."

Now, when a director tells you this, it only increases your respect for him and also the urge to do better for him and thus the motivation automatically follows and behind it a brilliant shot on the very first take.

What is really depressing is that you give it the best at that given point and circumstance and then begin to regret it when you are dubbing or when you watch it a few years later.

This is a universal problem that plagues all creative people and to a certain extent the whole human race for all of at some point stop, pause and think " Could we have said it better? could we have put it this way? maybe I should have handled it that way?"

Let me tell you, that in most cases it works out fine and if it doesn't it then don't be too harsh on yourself.

We are not supercomputers to work a Billion or Trillion calculations in a millisecond and we are just mortals and always Infallible.

A case in point is when an actor, take me for example and I pride myself on giving a perfect shot on the first take or maximum the second take and I get nervous and jittery when the take exceeds three and then more.

This used to be the case many years ago and I used to feel like a deflated balloon after a few takes and then I would forget my instincts, intelligence and the craft that I was taught and I would look lost and helpless.

In one situation, I realized that the director was a bit of a sadist and that the first take had been okayed and he was just continuing to toy with my spirit and enjoy breaking my confidence as an actor.

After the shoot was over, I retreated into my shell and analyzed what had transpired and came to the realization that there were indeed many psychos, sadists, Narcissists passing off as directors and film technicians.

A point being, that they would have come up the hard way, being yelled at, beaten and ill-treated by their masters and gurus when they were apprentices and they think that doing the same thing and dishing out the same thing is the way to go about work.

It does not work for films and television and also not for life.

I, Satish Kumar have over the years avoided working with many such people and sat at home twiddling my thumbs and swatting flies and mosquitoes, but in peace like the same way that I avoided fatherhood simply in fear of becoming the father that I had seen a little of and which is more than enough for a Million births.

Good morning. I wish you a beautiful day. All the very best.

"silence is the language of god,
all else is poor translation. Rumi

Quotes, sayings, proverbs, thoughts, poems, stories are all made up by words from langauges. A language itself is a form of expression, discussion, debate, creation but is a form that which itself sprang forth from our soul and thoughts and from experiences. In the beginning it comes from energy and ends as energy itself. But, what it does as it passes from the soul, through the lips and then to through the ears and to the souls of others is a different matter all together.

I wish like those silent movies, in life there was only beautiful and situational music and no words to say and let everything be said by an expressions alone and by the eyes alone. For, the eyes are the true windows of our souls.

The X factor is called sentiment

How did life begin? There can hardly be a bigger question. For much of human history, almost everyone believed some version of "the gods did it". Any other explanation was inconceivable.

But, there are lots of other explanations as to how life originated on earth and some of those theories are Abiogenesis which is the natural process by which life has arisen from non-living matter, such as simple organic compounds. Biogenesis, which is the production of new living organisms or organelles. Conceptually, biogenesis is primarily attributed to Louis Pasteur and encompasses the belief that complex living things come only from other living things, by means of reproduction. Spontaneous generation refers to an obsolete body of thought on the ordinary formation of living organisms without descent from similar organisms. The theory of spontaneous generation held that living creatures could arise from nonliving matter and that such processes were commonplace and regular. The list of theories just runs on and on with Heterotrophic theory, Primordial soup theory etc.

Similarly, how to make a blockbuster film and rake in tons of money is more or less as complicated as the question above about life and its origins and the ways in which man has been struggling to answer it. When I say hit film it necessarily does not mean it is a good film for very rarely are hit films really good films.

Ok, simply put a hit or blockbuster film means a T20 or a
One-day cricket match and a good blockbuster film is a test match that delivers the same thrills but in five days of
hard-fought cricket.

I am a part of that tribe who will go see a film and for one reason only, it should have a good story, unlike many today who go see a film simply because it has their hero or heroine starring in it.

A hero or heroine does not make for a good film and only a good story with good direction can do that. But then, a good story and a good director needs a good cast to make the film a success and to make it a blockbuster, sadly he needs the help of a hero who is the current flavor of the audience.

Chiyaan Vikram is an awesome actor and yet if you try to count the number of hits he has given after the super hit film " Anniyan" you will be surprised how low the number is.

Take namma acting king Ulaga Nayagan Kamal and try to remember what his biggest hit has been over the past ten years.

Take superstar Rajini and the colossal flops of Linga, Kaala, Kochidaiyaan, Kuselan, Baba and Vijay's flops and yes other actors like Surya, Simbu who are on a lower rung and you will see a familiar pattern emerging and that is, if you want a certified blockbuster, then you need the audience to enter the theaters like a raging Tsunami and unlike the tsunami, keep coming and coming for more.

How to make a tsunami audience for a film can be easily answered in the two Pongal releases, namely " Petta" and " Viswasam."

I will start first with the information about a rare and enviable statistic that has been achieved by " Thala" as Actor Ajith is called by his fans, and that is his film Viswasam has taken a larger opening than superstar Rajini's film Petta which opened the same day.

The last time another actor had managed to do this was nearly 27 years ago and by Kamal with his super duper film " Thevar Magan" which was super in collections, casting, music, acting, story, direction and so there is no surprise and to top it all the film went head to head with a very ordinary film of Rajini's called " Pandiyan". It was the usual cliched Rajini film meant only for time pass and strictly for his fans and yet this film was made for far more purer reasons than Thevar Magan.

Rajinikanth acted in the low budget film Pandiyan for free and the reason was S. P. Muthuraman with whom he had worked in nearly 25 films. Rajini decided to act in the film to contribute for the retirement fund of main crew members of the S. P. Muthuraman team who were regulars in most of Muthuraman's films.

So, a low budget Rajini film and Thevar Magan with Kamal and Shivaji in the lead is as you say a no contest.

So, how did or why are people saying the same about Ajith's Viswasam and that it has taken a bigger opening than Petta.

I can think of two reasons.

The first one is that Rajini just had a super hit film called Robot 2.0 that is supposed to have grossed nearly 650 crores
worldwide and it was still running in many theaters and Petta came along.

This means konjam overexposure for Rajini and konjam saturation for his fans.

The second reason I can think of is the sentimental scenes in the second half of Ajith's Viswasam.

" Sentiment, senti scene, Thala crying, family scene" is what I have been hearing in the gym and all around Chennai where ever I go and frankly speaking, I am tired of it.

So, my question to all directors and producers is that if an Ajith can take on a superstar on just the basis of a few senti scenes, then why the f**k don't you idiots have more of such scenes in your mass films and why don't you do more mass films based on family and relationships.

Impossible for like that question about how life originated on earth, it is equally impossible to strike the right balance of senti and mass scenes for a hero and thus it is virtually impossible to say if a film is going to work out or not.

But today's filmmakers are smart and rather than depend on good stories and good casting they depend on good marketing, hype, gossip, rumors, and buildups before a film releases and spread wrong box-office numbers via twitter and youtube.

Enna kodumada kadavule.

This mail went viral last year which Narayan Murthy sent to all Infosys staff and I can say it can be generalized for all IT companies. Its really an inspiring one.

Mail sent by Narayan Murthy to all Infosys staff:

It's half past 8 in the office but the lights are still on... PCs still running, coffee machines still buzzing... And who's at work? Most of them ??? Take a closer look...

All or most specimens are ?? Something male species of the human race...

Look closer... again all or most of them are bachelors...

And why are they sitting late? Working hard? No way!!! Any guesses??? Let's ask one of them... Here's what he says... What's there 2 do after going home...Here we get to surf, AC, phone, food, coffee that is why I am working late...Importantly no bosss!!!!!!!!!!!'

This is the scene in most research centers and software companies and other off-shore offices.

Bachelors Passing-Time' during late hours in the office just bcoz they say they've nothing else to do... Now what r the consequences...

Working' (for the record only) late hours soon becomes part of the institute or company culture.

With bosses more than eager to provide support to those working' late in the form of taxi vouchers, food vouchers and of course good feedback, (oh, he's a hard worker... goes home only to change..!!). They aren't helping things too...

To hell with bosses who don't understand the difference between sitting' late and working' late!!!

Very soon, the boss start expecting all employees to put in extra working hours.

So, My dear Bachelors let me tell you, life changes when u get married and start having a family... office is no longer a priority, family is... and That's when the problem starts... b'coz u start having commitments at home too.

For your boss, the earlier hardworking' guy suddenly seems to become a early leaver' even if u leave an hour after regular time... after doing the same amount of work.

People leaving on time after doing their tasks for the day are labelled as work-shirkers...

Girls who thankfully always (its changing nowadays... though) leave on time are labelled as not up to it'. All the while, the bachelors pat their own backs and carry on working' not realizing that they r spoiling the work culture at their own place and never realize that they would have to regret at one point of time.

So what's the moral of the story??
* Very clear, LEAVE ON TIME!!!
* Never put in extra time unless really needed
* Don't stay back unnecessarily and spoil your company work culture which will in turn cause inconvenience to you and your colleagues.

There are hundred other things to do in the evening..

Learn music...

Learn a foreign language...

Try a sport... TT, cricket...

Importantly, get a girl friend or boy friend, take him/her around town...

* And for heaven's sake, net cafe rates have dropped to an all-time low (plus, no fire-walls) and try cooking for a change.

Take a tip from the Smirnoff ad: *'Life's calling, where are you??'*

Please pass on this message to all those colleagues and please do it before leaving time, don't stay back till midnight to forward this!!!

IT'S A TYPICAL INDIAN MENTALITY THAT WORKING FOR LONG HOURS MEANS VERY HARD WORKING & 100% COMMITMENT ETC.

PEOPLE WHO REGULARLY SIT LATE IN THE OFFICE DON'T KNOW TO MANAGE THEIR TIME. SIMPLE !

Regards, NARAYAN MURTHY.

Raman met Jeeva on a bus and slowly they fell in love. Raman was an advocate and Jeeva was working in a private company. Raman takes on a new client called Bharat whose Late wife's Father-in-law Vaidyanathan is the ruling party's home minister. A thug, criminal, murderer posing as an honest and upright politician, Vaidyanathan who has still not gotten over his dead daughter and in his grief decides to somehow get his
granddaughter under his care and also to please his wife whom he loves and very much.

Things begin to go out of control when his son-in-law Bharat refuses and seeks legal help to counter his father-in-law and meets up with Raman who take agrees to help.

Bharat is beaten up by some rowdies who were sent by Vaidyanathan and Raman meets him in the hospital and Jeeva who comes there to meet Raman comes face to face with her old boyfriend Bharat and is shocked to see his daughter named after her.

Raman goes to the mall where Bharat was attacked and stumbles upon the same rowdies who have come there for the CCTV'S hard disk and fights them and wins.

Vaidyanathan realizes that this Raman is the same person who had beaten up his men when they had gone to kill Vijay Bhaskar and Kavitha, the children of his rival and fellow minister Durai Pandi Arumugam.

Realizing that things were going out of hand, he sends one of his trusted party man Periya Karuppan to handle things and they do that by terrorizing Suja the younger sister of Jeeva and her fiance Mohan who are on a medical camp tour that had been organized by their hospitals.

Suja comes back from her camp and hangs herself and Mohan who was desperately trying to reach her is involved in a terrible car crash and lies in a coma.

Raman realizes that Vaidyanathan is the cause for Suja's suicide and confronts him and the minister panicking decides to kill Periya Karuppan who records everything before being murdered by his own men.

Raman and Jeeva get married and just as things are getting back to normal, Vijay Bhaskar is murdered in Delhi along with a top army man Brigadier Soorya Narayanan's daughter and so Raman accompanies Kavita to the capital to bring back Vijay's body for their father minister Durai Murugan suffers a massive heart attack.

Raman and Kavita meet up with General V.k. singh who is handling the investigation of Vijay and Poornima and discuss the situation.

Raman and Kavita are both staying in the Official Tamil Nadu guest house in the capital and the time is 9.00 pm and the phone rings.

Raman heard his mobile only on the fifth ring and with his eyes still shut in the dark depths of sleep, his right hand reached and after searching for a brief second, picked it up and placing it in his ear, whispered " Hello" and the caller replied " Mr. Raman, I am the driver who is supposed to take you to the designated place and the coordinates will be given by the boss on our way there."

Raman slowly opened his eyes and came awake completely and replied " Okay. Thank you very much."

The caller " Mr. Raman, Please take a few minutes to get ready and meet me at this address which is just a km away from the hotel you are staying right now. I have been told to remind you to take precautions and remain under the radar as far as possible."

Raman nodded " Okay. Please, give me ten minutes and I will meet you there. I am sorry to keep you waiting."

Raman stood under the shower and the water came raining out reminding him that he was in Delhi and not far from the Himalayas for he gasped in shock at the freezingly cold water that bathed him. But the cold water removed all the vestiges of his fatigue and cobwebs of sleep and he stepped out totally in tune to what the night was going to bring.

Raman closed his eyes and meditated just for a few minutes but so deeply that it charged him and his mind and then he quickly slipped into black jeans and just as he was about to remove a thick dark full armed tee from his suitcase, somebody knocked on the door and he opened it.

Kavita stood there and stared at Raman and then saw him dressed up and asked " I thought we were going to have dinner together. But, it looks like you are going out somewhere on your own."

Raman was never a good liar but a good lawyer and so skilfully dodged the question and evaded the truth and answered: " Yes, I am meeting a client regarding a pending case in Chennai and thought since I am here in Delhi, I might as well get some work done."

Getting no reaction from Kavita " Sorry about the dinner plans for the client just called and informed me about the meeting."

Kavita entered the room and shut the door behind her and leaning on it stared at Raman for a long minute that felt more like an hour " Liar. Forget, the dinner plans. But, be honest and tell me where you are off to."

Raman turned away and slipped the thick woolen tee over his head and replied with his back turned to Kavita
" I am sorry but I cannot divulge the details."

Coming closer to him, she gently turned him and looking into his eyes, said " You don't have to but I know. I noticed what transpired between you and the general today morning at the Military hospital."

She slowly reached down and too both his large strong hands and turning them looked at both his palms and whispered: " You have lost Suja and I have lost my brother and now my father lies in a critical condition."

She looked at him with tears brimming in both eyes " I am scared ram for I don't want to lose you too. For I am not sure if I can take that loss and still survive."

She kissed his hands and looked at him " I am alive just because you are in this world and because I breathe the air that has come out of your body. I cannot and will not survive even a second if something should happen to you."

Raman looked at her and smiling sadly, gently removed his hands from hers and embraced her gently and held her like a child against his body.

Kavita mumbled " You know ram. You know what I feel for you and how long I have been in love with you."

Raman slowly pushed her and with his arms still holding her by her shoulders " I know Kavita. But, only now off late."

Tears ran down her cheeks and he wiped them away and Kavita said " I am a stupid, stupid woman. I shouldn't have waited for so long and then it was too late and you now belong to Jeeva."

Raman struggled for an answer " Kavita, anything I say now will come out wrong and will hurt both of us. But, I will say this and that is somethings happen for a purpose and they happen with the will of a higher power and is not in our hands."

Kavita smiled " You are right for it hurts, even this peaceful and prophetic philosophy of yours."

She looked at him " It hurts ram. It hurts not being with you and not spending every moment with you. I have no clue as to how I have managed to survive all these years away from you."

Wiping her tears, she looked at him with hesitation " Can I ask you a question please?" and Raman nodded his head and she asked him " If I had come before Jeeva and if I had come with my love to you, would you have accepted me and my love Ram."

Raman smiled and then gently stroking her cheek " Forget me, even God himself would have accepted your love and so who am I, a mere mortal to decline such a beautiful woman and her beautiful soul."

He pointed his right hand to the watch on his left " I am sorry Kavita, but time is running out and I have to go."

Kavita nodded " Please take care Ram and thank you for all that you are doing for me and Vijay and for my family."

She started walking towards the door and then stopping, turned and looked back at him and coming back to his side and gently pulled his face down with both her hands and kissed him fully on his lips and stood kissing him for a long moment and then quickly ran out of the room.

The time was 9.30 PM when Raman stepped out of the room and quickly ran towards the service stairs that led down to the rear portion of the building and quickly jumped over the wall and vanished into the darkness totally unaware that his every movement was being monitored.

Hidden in the darkness, a man reported into his walkie: " Raman is on the move sir and should reach the vehicle in about five minutes."

"The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart. Helen Keller

The car stood parked in a narrow alley with a dead end and the man standing next to the vehicle lifted a hand and waved to him and as he got closer, Raman knew he was from one of the various divisions that made up the core army special forces group.

Even from that distance, Raman's eyes flicked from one side to the other side and his sharp eyes caught a brief movement from the driver's side of the parked car whose windows were all darkened and only a passing vehicles headlights had made him aware of the presence of another man in the vehicle.

The man standing next to the vehicle indicated to Raman to raise his hands and then proceeded to thoroughly check for any hidden weapons and then waved a vague metal instrument that a normal man wouldn't have known or ever seen in his life. But then, Raman is anything but ordinary as is any hero who walks into fire willingly with a smile and carrying a raging storm in his soul.

The door was opened and Raman got into the backseat and the man who had checked him whispered something to the driver who nodded very subtly and then shifting into first slowly slipped away into the night with Raman in the backseat.

Jeeva sat by the window watching the world outside and wondering what Raman was doing in Delhi and then decided to call him.

Smilingly and with her heart beating fast, she heard the ringtone ringing and ringing and it took several rings before she realized that he had taken her call.

She waited a few minutes and then tried again, in vain and after several missed calls felt a twinge of panic fill her heart and called Kavita.

Kavita answered on the third ring and after both had enquired about each other, Jeeva asked her if she knew where Raman was.

" I am not sure where he is right now Jeeva but I think I know what he might be up to."

Jeeva went " Oh, oh. So, he is out doing his thing, is it?"

" Yes and thankfully he is not going to be alone and that is all I know of what Raman is up to?"

" Kavita, how are you doing?. I am really sorry about Vijay and what your family has been forced to face?"

" Honestly Jeeva, I don't even know how I am doing or how I am able to breathe without my brother. I think me and my parents are holding on because of Raman and the strength of his presence."

Sobbing, she continued " Jeeva, when you lost Suja, I wondered how terrible and painful it must be for you and now I know what you went through and what you are still going through for I am experiencing the same pain and sorrow."

They spoke for a long time and after their conversation ended, both sat by the window their thoughts and hearts full of the man who sat in the back of the car that had left Delhi and was now traveling at great speed on National highway 48.
