Chapter 4- The beginning

I felt a creak on my door. When I turned, I saw it was open...strange... I remember closing it. I removed my headphones and heard a little noise downstairs. The fact that my friends were having fun without me angered me and I rushed downstairs. From the stairs I saw they were all peeping Adi's laptop. Sharat was pointing something on the screen. Realising it was something important, I rushed down.

Feeling someone almost ON me, I looked back and was really shocked to see Anjali there. She seemed to be so deeply involved in Adi's analysis about our new project that she didn't mind falling on me to join the group. Minutes passed. She actively participated in the discussion, now and then making me experience more and more proximity. A little smile crept over mg face, oblivious to me. I was so involved in feeling the moment that I was brought back to reality by Sharat's cough. "So...what's your opinion Sid?" He asked me. What the hell was I doing!!? I didn't even know what he was talking about... Was I so lost!!?? "...a..about what...?" I nervously asked.. "about the new sight..." Anjali said...still her arms on my shoulders... What..? She was no more angry on me? Probably, she had not taken it too seriously... I was in my conversation in my head when Adi broke in between and fortunately, the changed the topic.
So... Tomorrow was the first day of our so called college. All of us were excited. Swathi suggested watching a movie tonight. When she told we would be watching a horror, film, I noticed that Anjali became quite uncomfortable...so...she actually believed in ghosts...hmmm... I found a way to irritate her now...
All sat in front of the television except for Anjali. She was still in her room. Nandini, rushed and soon got down with a frowning Anjali...
I don't know why but instead of watching the movie, I was more interested in admiring her expressions. Once, she covered her entire face and the next moment, opened her eyes in curiosity... Goddd!!! She looked so adorable... I suddenly started realising that I developed interest in her. Now it is all up to my friends to help my love life!

Chapter 5- New realisations

A sharp alarm woke me up. 6AM...the first day of our college... All these thoughts excited me. I went downstairs and saw everyone except Anjali relishing their delicious morning coffee. I too joined them and soon learnt that she was still asleep. "Why don't you wake her up?" I asked them. "She will become super cranky... She'll wake up herself. " said Swathi whose eyes still looked sleep deprived. A few minutes, as I heard faint footsteps, I looked up to see her, still stretching her limbs, with closed eyes climbing down the staircase. All I was able to do was smile that idiotic smile looking at her super cute morning face. As ghee to fire, her little exposed waist made almost made me drool... I know... I was a complete idiot.
She wobbled as she came down, still rubbing her eyes. Before I could realise anything, I felt her warm arms around my neck! She slept like a baby on my shoulder. I went blank. I didn't know whether to hug her back or look back at my laughing friends... Nandini came near, carrying a matured smile, as she caressed Anjali's hair... "Darling..." She whispered... "I'm here..." . Anjali lethargically lifted her head, saw me and still in half shut eyes, whispered a 'sorry'. The next moment, she hugged Nandini, the same way she hugged me and slept on her shoulders. I went to Adi to ask what was all this about. "She's like a little baby when she wakes up. Either Nandu or Swathi SHOULD be next to her for her to complete her sleep. Else this is what happens..." I smiled... He winked... There was a confused conversation in mind whenever he winked at me... I had to ask him personally...
I ran from one room to another... All the bathrooms were occupied... I wanted to take bath as this moring, while parking my bike, I accidentally slipped on a puddle of mud and as a result, had completely dirtied myself... To my relief, Sharat came out and when I was about to rush in, he politely said, "Swathi has already gone... Anjali went a while back and she will have finished her bath by now... Go there..."
As soon as I heard her name, I felt a shiver all over my body... It was the first time I experienced it... Strange... I was really going crazy about her now...
I went to her room and found the bathroom door locked from in... Maybe she was still inside. I sat on her bed waiting. After a while, I heard a creak and without thinking, went close to the door. Co incidentally, she came from inside and yes... We hit each other with a BANGGG!!! She slipped and held my shirt for grip. I too lost my balance and slipped with my hand tightly gripped on her waist. Only after we fell on the bed and I looked at her did I realise that she still wore her bathrobe!

Oh my that romantic moment!! On the bed, the feeling just you know shivers under my spine.

Anjali and me are like sisters, me when I wake up I am the same way but I don't have a shoulder to sleep on except the shower's shoulder.😆😆

SO cute sidharth he thinks it is an idiotic smile, but the blush.

Chapter 6- A twist in tale

All I could see was his magnetic black eyes creating a havoc in my heart. The strangest of the feelings overcame me and I was speechless at that moment...but wait... I had challenged my friends that I could manage to be single all my life...and besides, he was a complete stranger to me. Though we fought at our first meet, I treated him like the way I treated my other friends... I was disturbed by sensing his touch on my waist. I was on him all time long! Before any of my friends could spot me like this, I put on a very casual expression on my face. I got up and looked at him with my eyebrows raised. "What are you doing here?" I asked... He seemed to be lost in his own world... "S...sorry...what?" He asked, cutely. I repeated my question. He began blabbering and I just shook my head as I left the room. I dried my hairs and took a bread toast from the hot box. As I began relishing my breakfast, a sudden gush of the events that took place a few minutes ago came rushing to me. I shivered, just recalling that moment. Have I started developing feelings for him?... I had no clue but all I knew was to just wait and act as if he is nothing but a friend just like the others...this way, I was sure to get to know my compact feelings.
Our first day of college... I sighed a deep sigh as I closed my eyes and inhaled the beautiful fragrance of the nature. Yes, our college was more like a green house... As I expected, Adi, Sharat and Siddharth were the centers of attraction for all the girls... I was feeling quite nervous... I couldn't realise why. And there some cute boys who surrounded us, the girls too... There were many groups such as this... Some girls were over dressed and tried to look as attractive as possible... Some boys rode stylish bikes and cars... Ahhh... The Typical College life...
Unfortunately the six of us were decided in to two different sections. Me, Nandini and Sharat in section A while Adi, Sid and Swathi in B. We were first introduced to the basics of Archeology. It was very interesting for me but I could know that Nandu was least interested as she killed time playing with her hair, pen...etc. And finally, at 1pm we were let out for lunch. I was so hungry that I was ready to eat the lunch of all the six of us! I, Sharat, and Nandu walked down the stairs as we talked about todays class and saw our friends waiting down. Only Sid was missing. I searched for him as hidden as possible as I didn't want all of them to know I was searching for him. Luckily, Nandu asked where was he. Both of them looked at each other and put a guilty look on their faces. Before I could ask anything ..." Hi guys...!" We heard his excited voice from behind. Surprisingly, a smile crept over my face as I turned to look at him. But what I saw made my smile disappear... He was not coming alone, there was one more person...to specify... A girl with him. She held on to his arms as if they loved each other from ages... And his smile... I was red... "sooo..." He began, glancing me through his side eye, " she's my...um...girlfriend now... I know its too early but I found that her interests are similar to mine... By the way, her name is Richa..." He said as he patted his forehead with hers...

Chapter 7- My cartoon!

I didn't know how to react... Should I let my new born feelings grow or should I supress it deep in my heart...? Oblivious to me, a tear made its way down my cheek. Just before anyone could notice it, my phone rang as I excused myself. It was my mom... God! How perfect! I swallowed a sob as I calmed myself down listening to her sweet voice. And yes... It was the same old 'had you lunch' , 'had a good sleep' conversation but today, it seemed so relieving...
I was completely fine now...no more tears... "Yo!!!" I exclaimed as I rejoined my group. The whole time, I noticed that Siddharth was absurdly showing his love towards his so called girlfriend...and she reacted as idiotically as possible... Is love so blind that people can't judge themselves on how they are behaving...? I was happy that I was saved. The break was over and we returned to our classes... I was so relieved that I did not have to see those horrible scenes again! Nandini and Sharat were some what very concerned about me. Every time I rubbed my forehead or do anything like that, they cared as if I met an accident. "Cool down guys! I am totally Okay... Why are you pampering me like that!!?" I asked, frustrated. They had a confused look. "Aren't you depressed that Siddharth has a love interest now...??" They asked. "What!!!???" I almost screamed, alerting the lecturer. He shot a deadly look at me and returned to his lecture. I sharply looked at the two and rolled my eyes.
It was time for us to leave. We all bid bye to our new friends but as I thought, the great Siddharth was taking forever to come back. "We're just finishing the first day of our college...acting as if this is their last meeting..." I muttered under my breath. Not that I was jealous or anything okay... I've been in company with two pairs of love birds the whole time... Ya... I'm talking about Adi-Nandini and Sharat-Swathi. They too are in love... But seriously, they are way too better...
"I miss you baby..." That Richa or whatever her name was said, making an unnatural baby face... He stood, pinning her to the wall as he was consoling her... How stupid.. I thought.
We came back home as I rushed to my room to get rid of those tight jeans. After freshening up, I went downstairs to get a little snack. Adi and Sharat lazily laid on the sofa, watching 'Tom and Jerry' I too joined them... Yeah... It's our all time favourite. While watching it, I imagined myself as Jerry and that stupid (I'm speaking about Siddharth) as Tom. Whenever Jerry squashed Tom using its little brain, I laughed like hell, only to draw everyone's attention (of course excluding that Tom). "What...I am enjoying it..." I exclaimed, putting everyone back to their works. "Yeah baby... I'll be there by 7... Love u.. " Tom came downstairs, kissing his phone. I looked at Adi who constantly stared at me and smirked. He seemed to be confused... Wait... Were all of them thinking that I was upset because I loved him...???!!!! Nooo...!!!!
