It's a shame that they were allowed to shoot with little or no safety measures. Such an unprofessional "rescue" team, which only focused on saving the lead actor, but forgot about the lesser known actors/stuntmen.

And obviously lack of safety during shoots is not of any interest to parties like MNS and whoever thinks its their business to dictate terms to the film industry. Why not dictate terms on such issues?

Its just horrible. Both these actors come from a tough life. And had just started making a mark for themselves. Uday has two little kids as far I know. And Anil is the sole bread earner in his family.
I saw this interview where Uday's wife was like "So why is that only the hero's life matters? The villains are not humans is it?"

Just before they took the shot, both these actors gave interviews in which they said that they haven't practised or anything, the were informed the previous day there will be such a scene.

They were just working for their livelihood, they needed the money. But how negligent and irresponsible can the film makers be? The boat's engine apparently didn't start. Why was it already not ON before the shot began?

They didn't even do a dummy test before making the actors jump!

The hero-Vijay had a life jacket on. These two didn't.

It just shows that these film makers only care about who gets them the money. they didnt wanna 'waste' money of safety measures and this has cost two souls their lives.

The stunt director allowed them to shoot despite knowing that they werent so confident about swimming
Such risky stunts aren't needed with current technological advances..

Besides, some of the stuntmen were saying that they have to work with shoe string budget. And they are not even provided ambulance but can afford caravans/vanity vans.

And obviously such news are of no concern to the political arena cos hey!

Did they actually pull out the lead actor with the safety jacket on instead of the poor guy who was right next to him (who I think he was holding to keep him afloat).. Horrible.. And they will just blame a boat for this tragedy
