If reports from Kollywood are to be believed, Jai has replaced Nakul in Vallinam. Though the reasons for this is not known, Jai is happy that he is to star in a film that is to be produced by a top banner in the industry – Aascar Films.

After the success of Engeyum Eppothum, Jai seems to hog the limelight and getting good offers proves that he is on his way to success.

Vallinam is to be directed by Arivazhagan who came up with the smash hit Eeram. Vallinam will be entirely different from Eeram, states the director who is basking in glory as the film's dubbed version in Telugu is also a hit.
