I think Ileana's doing Kareena's role in the Tamil version.. I don't know know much about Ileana, but she can't be as bad as Shreya / Trish!

Yea even i read in a local paper Ileana got d chance... I don like Shreya but can't say Ileana is better than her... she did more of glam doll roles..
She can be annoying wid few of her expressions but if i thnk of Shreya n recollect of her expressions in a particular telugu film which i thnk she can't surpass again.. i'll say Ileana a better choice but trisha can b sometimes better than her.. Genelia is also good but she n Mahesh don no..

Haha I think I'm the only one who thought that 3 Idiots was an average movie, lol. I'm all old fashioned in stuff so I didn't like the kiss scene at the end :/ But Amir Khan and Mahesh Babu are both really good actors, but completely different personalities. I don't know if MB will match :/

Just found this article -

If reports are to be believed, Ileana will don the greasepaint for the remake 3 Idiots. The actress is expected to play the role both in Tamil and Telugu versions. While Vijay, Jiiva and Siddharth are said to be roped in for the Tamil version, we hear that Mahesh Babu will play Vijay's role in Telugu.

The film is being planned for a summer release and the shooting will probably begin in the month of November when Shankar, who will direct the film, returns from his trip abroad.

Sidhu will fit Sharman well but MB n Aamir don no.. MB can shock u sometimes never expected Pokiri from him but he did na so he may pull out.. Jeeva don no who he is? will he be in telugu version too.. Ileana no plzzz change her

I want maddie in the tamil version too.. I can't se anyone else in Maddy's role.. Plus I hate Jeeva.. I can't stand the sight of him.. I nvr watch his movies.. If he is in this movie then I'm not gonna watch this movie..

even Mahesh has told a few weeks back that he's currently working in only 1 muvi i.e. Dukudu by Sreenu Vaitla.. I'm still wondering if the remake thing is for real but found this link somewhere..

It is known to our readers that Gemeni Film Circuit is going to remake Hindi Block buster movie 3idiots in Telugu. Mahesh Babu is the main lead in the movie. Shooting of this movie will begin on December 6th. South India's most effective commercial director Shankar will be directing this flick. Harris Jayraj is the music director. Already two songs are recorded for the movie.

'Varudu' fame Arya and Super Good Movies Chowdary's Son 'E' fame Jeeva are the front runners for the roles of other two idiots in the movie.

We all know Shankar, who is known for perfection, would take at least two years to complete a project. However, his forthcoming film, which is a remake of Bollywood's '3 Idiots', is expected to be a quickie.

"Shankar wants to complete the film in less than six months time. So, in all probability, you can expect the Tamil and Telugu versions of 3 Idiots for summer 2011", say sources. While Vijay would play the lead role in the Tamil version, Mahesh Babu would replace him in the Telugu version. Ileana is the heroine in both the languages while a search is on for the remaining two protagonists roles.

Sathyaraj will play a crucial role. Harris Jayaraj will score music to the lyrics of Vairamuthu and Gautam Vasudev Menon's lucky mascot Manoj Paramahamsa has been signed to handle the cinematography.
