Preeto comes down and Gagan asks her if Bani is coming. Preeto says Bani has a headache and she won't be coming down. Gagan blames himself, but Preeto tells him that he hasn't caused any grief to his family but when he starts blaming himself, he is causing pain to them.
Kanwal's brother Dharam comes and looks disturbed. He comes and asks for water. Kanwal, Gagan and rest of the family come and wonder what's wrong. Ishu brings water and Kanwal drinks the water and then says he forgot that they don't have cold water at their home because there's no fridge. He says he even bought a kulfi making book. Kanwal and the rest are confused why Dharam is talking so strangely. Dharam says he has a guest that he bought with him and he was wondering if that guest could stay. Kanwal wonders how they can let a stranger live in their house. Dharam says they should meet him at least. Gagan agrees and Kanwal relents as well.
Dharam tells the men to bring the fridge/freezer in and everyone gets excited. They all rush to look at it, happily. Dharam says their electrician Pankaj can hook it up. Preeto says she will call him right away. Before she can call Dhruv's mom calls and Preeto hands over the phone to Kanwal. Kanwal talks and announces that Dhruv's parents will be here tonight itself to see Ishu. Dharam is confused on who is Dhruv, and Gagan explains and then excuses himself for work, and Kanwal tells him to head home early.
Preeto notices that Ishu looks worried and Ishu voices that she hasn't had a chance to tell Dhruv about their father's work and wonders if it will make a difference to Dhruv's parents. Preeto says she can talk to Dhruv herself.
Ishu talks to Dhruv and Dhruv flirts with her. Ishu tells Dhruv about her father's work, and Dhruv tells Ishu that it doesn't bother him, and he's sure it won't bother his parents. He tells her it will be fine and then tells her he loves her. Ishu blushes and is silent. Dhruv asks her if she's not going to say the same and Ishu says she won't say it over the phone now and tells him bye.
Later as the day progresses, Meeta and Dharam work in the kitchen on the kulfi as Pankaj sets up the freezer/fridge. They shoo Preeto out of the kitchen as she only causes trouble in the kitchen.
On the other hand Dhruv talks about Ishu and her family to his parents and he also tells them about him working in a hotel as a doorman. Dhruv's parents take it all in stride and don't seem to mind. Rajbeer is also with Dhruv and talks about Preeto's family. Dhruv's father tells Dhruv that no job is big or small and he's glad that his son not only found a good girl for himself but a great family as well. Neelam, Dhruv's mom, says she's excited to meet Ishu after having heard so much but since there's still some time, she'd like to go shopping for her future daughter in law and her family. Dhruv's father comment's that Neelam will take any excuse for shopping, but she tells him she isn't shopping for herself. As she goes to get ready, Dhruv's father assures Dhruv that they are happy if he is happy. Dhruv and Rajbeer exchange happy glances.
The kulfi is ready but Dharam uncle is guarding the freezer. Bani is also down now brought down by Dharam. They are all excited about the icecream. They trick Dharam and try to get the kulfi. He tells them to grab their plates. Kanwal says she will eat with Gagan and Preeto and the rest tease her about having kulfi by candlelight on the roof. They all eat the kulfi. The doorbells rings and Preeto and Kanwal think it is Gagan rush with a plate of icecream to greet him.
They open the door and Kanwal raises her spoon to feed Gagan but it is Dhruv's parents that are standing there with Dhruv and Rajbeer in the back shocked. Preeto invites them in, as Kanwal is embarrassed, and they head in. Preeto wonders why they are here two hours early and Kanwal whispers that she might have mistaken the time when Neelam spoke english.
The rest hurry to make the house look presentable. Meeta puts the plates back in the freezer in her hurry.
Neelam tells Kanwal the house is so nice but Kanwal mistakes it for something else, and Preeto shakes her head. Neelam corrects herself and Kanwal thanks her. Preeto mutters to Meeta that Kanwal is so nervous. Preeto asks them if they would like something to eat or drink. Dhruv's father asks for water. Kanwal tells Preeto to bring cold water now that they have a fridge. Preeto walks up to the fridge and Rajbeer watches her. Preeto shows off her new fridge and goes to grab some water but pulls out the empty plates instead. Rajbeer smiles and Preeto just shrugs but as Meeta heads in her directions she scolds Meeta for putting the plates in the fridge/freezer.
Meeta gets glasses and Preeto serves water for the guests.
Neelam says she's met everyone, but she asks about Ishu, who had gone to get dressed when the Ahluwalias had come. Preeto and Meeta go to get Ishu.
Upstairs, Preeto helps Ishu with her pallo and tells her she looks very beautiful. Ishu is worried but both her sisters comfort her that all will be well. Meeta and Ishu share a hug as Preeto watches emotional.
