Sorry for the delay
Dhruv talks to Ishu and she voices her fer that maybe his parent might not accept her and they might be in a situation like Jogi and Jassi. Dhruv assures that it won't happen and if her parents do go against his wishes he will be by her side.
Bani comes home and walks in a huff making Ishu wonder if she fought with someone at college.
Gagan comes home later and Preeto and Kanwal help him relax and take off the stress of the day. Preeto goes to call Bani for dinner later and when Bani comes down Gagan asks Bani what the matter is and why she's angry. Bani angrily retorts that because of him and his lies today she was insulted in college. She yells at her father for working as a doorman at some hotel and questions that he didn't have to do such work. Before she can say anything further Kanwal slaps her that she should never talk to her father like that and tells her that instead of being proud of her father she's questioning him. Bani leaves angrily and Kanwal tells everyone to let her go.
Meeta and Ishu are shocked ot ehar the news and Gagan is upset for not being able ot provide fo rhis kids and bringing shame ot them. Preeto and the rest of the family comfort Gagan nad say that they aren't ashamed of their father's job.
Next morning Kanwal asks Gagan what he'd like to wear to work, and Gagan says it doesn't matter. Preeto comes in and says it does. She says that her father should go to the publisher house and one day will get his novel published. She weaves dreams that they too can have comforts. Gagan tells her that her dream is expensive and for now they are fine as is. Gagan is concenred about Dhruv's parents and tells his family that they should tell him the truth.
Dhruv's parents arrive, and Dhruv's mom, Neelam Ahluwalia seems like a perfectionist who wants everything in a set order. While Dhruv greets his parents, Preeto consoles her father that Dhruv's parents won't mind either and say that they will reveal the truth because tehy don't want a situation like Boby Singh to arise. Ishu says that even if Dhruv's family refuses she won't mind because her father's respect is for her above all else.
Later Meeta preparing for breakfast feels helpless to help her father, and wonders if it would have been better if htey had a son in the family. Preeto says that a son doesn't guarantee that he will look after the family. She says atleast most daughters even after their marriage still hold concerns for their maternal home as well. She tells them that they are not less than any son and consoles Meeta that all will be well.
As they head to eat breakfast, Preeto goes to call Bani. Bani still upset pretends to sleep but Preeto isn't fooled. Bani gts up and tells Preeto that her father can choose any other job. Ptreeto tells Bani she isnt in any place to jusdge her father because to supplement her pocket money she stole and tricked people. Their father is working hard and doing an honest man's job. Preeto says that she didn't think twice about dishonoring her family name when she did such illegal work and now she doesn't have the right ot question. Preeto asks Bani if she should go tell Gagan that he should leave his doorman job and work with Bani because she has a better way to earn money.
Bani looks guilty and listens quietly. Preeto tells her that yesterday she felt bad when Kanwal slapped her but seeing her insolence today she too feels like slapping her. Preeto warns Bani that if she thinks that she has grown too big for this house and if her false pride is more important ot her than her own father's feeling then she can leave the house and take her life's decisions in her own hand. She tells Bani that if she ever questions their father or disrespects him like then she will have to deal with Preeto.
