Science has left the fine tuning of this in the hand of women-and we've been slackening off on that job!

KEEP TALKING-Its the only way I could think of to keep the spammers at bay!

You think right, Zem,

I had it pop in my head as I re-watched "When Harry met sally", my another fav from her is -
""Maybe young women don't wonder whether they can have it all any longer, but in case any of you are wondering, of course you can have it all."

There is an excellent article I think all women should read. It deals with the very real problems faced by women everyday. The writer was a part of team Obama - the first woman director of Policy Planning at the State Department; a former lecturer at Princeton. The article, ironically is called - "Why Women Can't Have It All"

@Chitrashi,

What a brilliant article, read it just now, have been bothered about similar issues for some time now, it brought in a very brilliant insight.I think more than anything else world needs to respect whatever choices we make and stop being judgemental.

thank you!

Something that set me off after reading the article was - why do women have this need to excel at everything? Why is it that a woman can't say "Hey, my career is important to me, so if you want breakfast - go and cook, and get some for me too". Why does she have to do it all or else carry the burden of guilt on her?

Is it that even after stepping out of the boundaries of the homes, women are still afraid to break the stereotype that " a woman's primary duty is taking care of the house", so she constantly feels guilty about the unmade bed and the undone homework?

I blame it on the mindset , we might have moved decades away from the confinement of the household but the lingering feeling that we belonged to it , has not left.
We feel incomplete coz somewhere we as a gender are not able to accept that it can be natural for the male to take over the household, we still feel that emotions and sense of responsibility in a family can only be through us. And the world doesnt help either, if one decides to focus on a career and the male half takes up the job of raising the kids, we would either be labelled as very modern or how understanding is the hubby, not the fact that it is not an issue at all, it is very natural for either the pair to step into any role.
Or if we give up a career for the house, we term it as a sacrifice not a choice or a will, why do we keep on pushing the parameters of our independence over and over again, is beyond me.

Is the guessing game still on?

I mean when someone says "I forbid it", that's a good sign its worth doing.

Huckleberry Finn

This one should be fairly obvious:

I like to say a few words. And here they are:
"Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak!

Thank You."

@ Nahh TC is no less a child himself, plus his scientology would scare me off, only DB and RG would do!

Albus Dumbledore, Philosopher's stone...and a potterhead sighs...

Another one-

There was no possibility of taking a walk that day.

P.S. Chitrashi, think you have it in the bag with this one!
