Pratyusha Banerjee, who is currently seen essaying the role of Mohini on Rashmi Sharma Telefilms' popular show Sasural Simar Ka is now quitting the show.

We hear that, "Pratyusha has now decided to quit the show and currently she is serving her notice period. The viewers will very soon get to see Mohini's track coming to an end in a dramatic way on the show."

When we contacted Pratyusha to learn more about her reasons for quitting the show, she said, "I am done with playing negative role. It's been a lovely and a beautiful journey."

When we asked Pratyusha whether she would prefer playing positive or negative roles in future, she said, "I have no plans as such."

Today's episode:

Simar under Mohini's spell. She goes and opens the red door. BW family members comes out and shocked seeing Simar under Mohini's control. Mohini orders all of them to come out of Devima's surroundings as she herself cannot go there. Seeing this Mataji comes out and orders other to stay back. She goes near the idol brings Ganga water and sprinkle on Simar. Everybody chants Jai Matadi. Simar comes to her senses.

Simar is surprised to see all the BW family out, further there is arguments, counter arguments, threatens. Still no body comes out of Devima's premises. Finally Mohini calls Goons to drag the BW family out. BW family unitedly fight them.

Again arguments and threatens. In this process one of the goon brings a pot from the room and hands over to Mohini. This time Mohini starts blackmailing them, saying that she will break the pot if Simar does not hand over the rest of the post and Prem to her. Saying this she gives some time to them to think and goes from there to participate in Janmashtami Festival.

Pre-Cap: Mohini dancing in Janmashtami Festival, BW family are embarrassed and shocked. Dahi - Handi breaking.

Simar je pod uticajem cini koje je Mohini bacola na nju. Odlazi i otvara crvena vrata. Clanovi BW porodice izlaze napolje i sokirani su kada vide da je Simar potpuno pod Mohininom kontrolom. Mohini im svima naredjuje da izadju iz Hrama, jer ih tamo stiti okolina oko Devimaa, a i ona sama ne moze da ide tamo. Kada je to videla Mataji naredjuje ostalima da ne mrdaju odatle. Ona odlazi pored Kipa Bozice i uzima svetu vodu iz reke Gange, i njome poprska Simar.Svi govore molitvu i Simar dolazi k sebi.

Simar je iznenadjena kada vidi sve clanove BW porodice napolju, i oni se raspravljaju jedni sa drugima. Mohini im preti, ali i dalje nitko od njih ne izlazi iz tog svetog mesta gde ih Devimaa stiti. Konacno Mohini zove neke propalice da izvuku clanove BW porodice iz tog zasticenog mesta. Clanovi BW porodice se ujedinjeni bore sa njima.

Ponovno rasprava i pretnje. U tom raspravljanju jedan od razbojnika je doneo jedan cup iz Mohinine sobe i predao ga Mohini.. Ona pocinje da ucenjuje BW porodicu, govoreci da ce da razbije cup, ako joj Simar ne preda ostale potove i Prema. Kada je to rekla, dala im je neko vreme da razmisle o tome, i otisla je da sudeluje u Festivalu Janmashtami...

And about your confusion, yeah, its a valid point, but let's not forget that in the celeb world, jo dikhta hai, wahi bikta hai <what is visible, is sellable>.

A person's character (especially a cameo's) ending is no big deal or big news either. It is not newsworthy; however, the hint of a controversy makes big news.

The controversy helps the channel gain attention, the show gain TRP, the artiste gets his/her name repeatedly in the media (let's not forget that Pratyusha has never shied away from any kind of publicity (positive or negative; like she said, she thrives on attention 😆)

We are not part of their world, except for vicariously, so we will never understand or empathise with their ways.

All I can say with certainty is that bigger and better things are in the pipeline for Pratyusha and, consequently, for us 😊

PS: My certainty comes only from my gut 😆
