Siddhant entered into hall and sat in the seat.

All looked at Siddhant face searching for his decision.

Jamanlal was looking at him with more tension.

Siddhant: I am interested to marry her..

All were happy.

Jamanlal looked at Siddhant with an expression of thanks.

Siddhant expressed as 'I will take care'

Jamanlal distributed sweets to all.

Nirmala: Gauri, we will look for auspicious day for marriage and inform you.

Gauri: Sure Nirmala. We wait for your good news.

Bharatwaj family got up to leave from there.

All stepped out the house while Jamanlal hold Siddhant's hands..

Jamanlal: Thank you. Thank you so much for understanding...

Siddhant: Dont worry. From now she is my responsibility. I will take care of her..

Jamanlal got tears filled on his eyes.

Bharatwaj family members left their house.

Jamanlal entered into the house with happiness.

Jamanlal: Maaji, I am very happy to get such a person for my daughter.

Gauri: I enquired completely in the village. Nirmala herself is nice person. So i too prefered this alliance. I was really shocked when came to know he met our ROli yesterday.

Jamanlal: All for good only Maaji. I took him to backyard and told completely about her. It should not be like we hide something which they come to know later. He already saw her yesterday. So he himself knows about her. Now he agreed means i am happy. You know he also told me that she is his responsibility from now.

Gauri: Very happy to hear. Very happy.

All were excited when they heard ROl's voice from behind.

Roli: Dad! Can you tell me what is happening? What am i hearing?

Jamanlal: ROli, we have seen alliance for you.

Roli: Alliance means?

Jamanlal: We have seen bridegroom for you.

Roli: What?

Jamanlal: Yes ROli. They all came to see you for tht only.

ROli; This is not fair that you told lie to me. You said just are just coming to see me as we are coming after so many days.

jamanlal: yes we did. But we thought you may not be ready to come down if we tell the truth. Also we were waiting for thier decision.

ROli: Dad! Then what about my decision. Are you not concerned about my decision. I got no idea about my marriage now.

Jamanlal: But ROli, you reached age for marriage.

Roli: Come on dad! Age alone is not the criteria. I need to like the person. I always wish to have a love marriage in my life.

Jamanlal: Roli, here in India we love after our marriage. So you too can do that.

Roli: But pappa...

Jamanlal: You like that person right. I think you both met already. Then what is you concern

Roli: Oh Dad! we come across so many in the life. I cant marry everyone right just for the reason we met already.

Jamanlal: Roli anyway you need to marry someone why not this guy. He is very nice man.

Roli: Dad! Please try to understand. I am not telling he is bad. I met him twice not once. He is really good. But i never started thinking about my marriage yet. Also an Indian. Then you mean i need to stay in India for rest of my lfie. No way.

Jamanlal: Roli, you think this as my order or request or whatever the form you feel like. But i wish this marriage to happen. I believe he will be your good life partner.

Roli: But dad..

Jamanlal: Roli i already told you. you think it as my request to you or you think as my order to you. It is upto you.

Jamanlal left the place.

Roli was confused...

Roli: Mom what all these.

Meena: Roli, please understand what your father is telling.

Roli: Mom you too. WHy you all cant understand? When i am finding difficult to run 1 or 2 days in village you are trying to make my life itself here. Also marraige for me now. How come mom?

Meena: ROli, here marriages happens like that only. See myself got married to your father in same way only. But remember the elders will show good life only for us.

Roli: I am not telling he selected some wrong person. But my mind have not yet selected him as right person and as a life partner for me.

Meena: ROli your mind will select by itself once marriage is done. Dont worry.

Meena too left the place.

Roli lookedd at Gauri.

Roli: Grandma! See i came all the way to see you after these many years. Is it right that you all planned like this together and pressuring me on something which i am not interested..

Gauri: Roli, please trust me. You wont get such guy as life partner even if you search in this whole world.

Roli: Oh god! no one is understanding what i am trying to say.

Gauri: Roli see we all telling you the same. Dont you feel we all will think good only for you. Please accept our arrangement.

Gauri too left that place.

Only swathi was left there.

Roli: Swathi, All are elders & hope you are of my age and understand my situation.

Swathi: ROli shall i tell you something. You know you got selected with such a gem of person. You are new so you dont know about him. But slowly you will understand him. Please accept for this.

Roli: Swathi you too...

Swathi: ROli please understand everyone is thinking for your good only.

Swathi too left the place...

Roli got tears on her eyes for the first time in her life...

Part 16

Bharatwaj family members reached their house.

They sat in the hall.

Nirmala: Siddhant, we are very happy that you agreed for the marriage. But wonder what was happening..

Siddhant understood what she mean.

Siddhant: Mataji, nothing to worry. Actually she is born & brought up in US. She is new to Indian tradition & customs. So her father was worried and explained about her to me. He is nice gentleman who was not interested to hide about her and make her accept. He told openly which made me accept this marriage in 1st place.

Nirmala: Oh Ok! I was worried why he is talking to you separately like that.

Siddhant: Nothing to worry mataji. We know how our city girls will be then when she was in US completely, then her knowledge to India itself is new.

Nirmala: Yes Gauri said on that day itself when we started talking about this alliance that she was born & brought up there but her son wish her to get married to Indian. Then only i too agreed for this marriage. Happy that they are frank in telling the facts.

All agreed.

Nirmala: Siddhant the girl is very beautiful too. She matches with you well.

Siddhant blushed...

Nirmala contacted Pandit and decided their marriage date the next week itself.

Nirmala informed Gauri about the date.

They did not arrange for engagement separate as the marriage itself fixed for next week.

Gauri called the Goldsmith to make mangal sutra.

Gauri also called the shop keeper in the near by town to bring the clothes for Marriage to their house itself.

THey selected the dress staying in the house.

ROli was wondering on getting the things arrange from home itself instead of going in search to any shops..

ROli was not interested in any of these arragements too.

But still she got no other way other than accepting it as her entire family is adamant on their decision of getting her married...

ROli prepared her mind to accept what is insisted on her now...

Haldi, Mehendi, Sangeet were all celebrated in their houses separately as it is village and not allowed to mingle the family together on those celebrations.

The next day was thier marraige.

Roli was on her room looking into her dark mehendi on her hands.

She for the first time looked that his name is writte in that 'Siddhant'

Roli was thinking, this seems to be that dude's name.

Roli was feeling, atleast he was selected instead of any other stranger by her family.

Roli was little tensed how she is going to handle all the coming days marrying an Indian and staying in the village.

First of all she is new to the country, new to the village, new to married life with unknown person.

ROli to herself: Oh God! WHere i am struck suddenly in my life. i was not suppose to come to India hearing Dad's words. It seems to be like they planned everything well in advance.

She was feeling bad on the ways she was not considered and her thoughts were not accepted.

But no use now on thinking any of those. almost half of the marriage ceremony functions like mehendi, sangeet everything done. Only marraige is pending.

That too will be done the next day...

Roli was turning sides without getting sleep...

Siddhant was equally disturbed.

He accepted the marriage..

He knows she is innocent and ignorant.

But on the other hand he was worried how she is going to cope with the village and her family.

How much my family members will bear with her ignorance is also a question?

Anyway decided is decided.

Tomorrow the marraige.

Now nothing can be done other than facing the consequences.

Siddhant decided to face and turning sides without sleep.

Part 18

Roli was getting ready with help of Swathi.

Roli was really looking beautiful on her bridal dress.

Gauri & Meena looked at her with love and passion.

Gauri: Meena look how beautiful she is.

Roli did not even smile.

Meena: ROli keep smiling. See today is your marriage. Important day of your life. Then why your face is dull like this.

Roli: You know it is important day of my life. But did not understand what i mean for that important day.

Gauri: Roli, we tried our best to make you understand what we are doing is for your good. Now you have anyway agreed for the marriage then why not with a smile.

Meena: Yes ROli. You look more beautiful with a smile. Please do smiling.

Swathi: ROli, you just smile. Your bridegroom will not be able to shift his eyes from you.

Roli: Swathi, please... I am not interested in hearing any of these...

Gauri: Roli, just relax & remember you can trust us. You are getting married to wonderful person.

Roli: No need to certify that dude. I know him.

Meena: Roli when you know about him. Then what is the worry.

Roli: My worry is i am not yet prepared to marry him.

Gauri: Roli none of us were prepared to marry when we get into marriage. Then we accepted our life and we did lived happily. Similarly you too will for sure.

Meena: Now we wish you to smile for your known dude ok.

Roli now got some smile on her face...

They bring Roli to marriage mandap.

Siddhant who was in marriage mandap already was astonished by her beauty.

All the village people too praised her beauty and the pair matchen when they sat together.

In front of all friends & relatives their marriage got initiated...

Siddhant did Ganesh pooja..

Jamanlal did kanyadan of ROli to Siddhant.

Roli & Siddhant exchanged garlands..

Swathi tied the clothes of ROSID together..

ROSID took 7 pheres around the fire.

Siddhant filled sindoor on Roli's forehead.

Siddhant put mangal sutra on Roli's neck..

ROSID took blessings of the elders...

ROli was not used to all these though she did what he did as instructed by her mother & grandmother to do so...

All prayed to God to bless the newly married couple with all happiness..

Part 19

ROSID went to Bharatwaj house.

Sujatha took aarthi to ROSID

Roli was told to gently kick the kalash and enter into the house with right leg.

Roli did that.

Then she stepped into the plate with aarti and kept her legs with reg leg prints into the house.

ROli was taken to Pooja room.

Roli wonder what to do now.

ROli was told to keep her hand print in the wall.

She did that..

ROli was told to lit the diya.

She wonder looking here & there.

Then Sujatha helped her how to do that.

Roli lit the diya.

ROSID took the blessings of the elders.

Then to relax them all surrounded them and kept the big bown with milk in the middle.

THe ring was put inside it.

ROSId were told to search for the ring inside it.

ROSID put thier hands inside it.

ROli started searching for the ring, but she was not getting.

Siddhant got the ring.

But he was not interested to upset her.

In the bowl itself he gave that ring to her hand.

ROli took out the ring and looked at him.

ROli: Hi dude! You only took the ring right. Then why you gave it to me. Take this back. I dont want to win cheating like that.

All looked at her with surprise on her talk with her newly married husband.

Siddhant though was feeling awkward on her calling 'Dude' and talking like that in front of all, he liked her innocence on not interest to cheat and win.

Nirmala: Siddhant so you took the ring and gave it to your wife. Well.

Siddhant blushed.

Sid: Not like that mataji...

Nirmala: Well! Not wrong. This game is just to understand how they are between them. THis shows you will sacrifice for her while she does not want to cheat & win.. GOod matching...

Siddhant smiled looking at her while her face was totally confused on handling the new situations which was clearly shown on her face.

The time was passing...

The village people came to meet the newly married couple and gave thier blessings and gifts..

Roli was feeling extremely tired with heavy jewelleries, dress and above that new place, new people.

Her face was revealing her disinterest too.

Siddhant noticed all her expressions.

ROSID were served with special dishes for the dinner.

They were told to feed each other.

ROli: Oh NO! How can i eat something feed by you? How can you eat something feed by me?

She asked Siddhant in small voice...

All were looking at her.

Siddhant replied in small voice to her.
