@-Astha-: I somewhat agree with your logic but not totally. The problem with most Indian middle class ( India has the largest middle-class in the world) households today is that their relationship with television is perhaps deeper & they are more loyal to their shows than they are even to each other. Which is why people stop Abhaas Mehta (Shyam of IPKKND) and threaten him or as Shashank Vyaas (Jagya) had posted he gets stopped & asked why he ruined Anandi's life. Indians make these characters real which is why is cribby weepy character like Simar or an ultra evil character like Khushi (such women don't exist the real world) are real to the viewer's hence such people will assume a positive thing like surrogacy as something as an evil process.
