He started playing with "Fluffy" and suddenly remembered the time when Fluffy was only 20 days old. He was brought to his house by Ragini when she was leaving with her parents for a month long vacation.There was no one to take care of Fluffy at her place, so she left Fluffy with Jay.Fluffy spent one month with Jay & his mother Namrita and after that when Ragini came bback she decided that Fluffy should remain with Jay only as he took great care of Fluffy! Since then Fluffy was known to be Jay's dog only!
Jay smiled to himself for a minute & then again he said :
Gini 'Jay thought about her and made a sigh. She had been the only girl whom he was close to in the college days. Gini [He used to call Ragini-Gini], Shobhit and Mohit were the only friends he had in college. And he never felt alone becoz he had them. He now has more than 400 people added in his profile on facebook but none he could actually call 'friend''..
A small pang of loneliness hit him. He wanted to talk to a friend'.since a long time he had not had a heart to heart talk with a close friend and he always thought that there would be no need of friends after college'..but today he felt that this need is something eternal.
He wondered where Ragini was presently'.she wasn't active on networking sites as well.
The last time he saw Ragini was at Mohit's party & after that they didnt see each other or bothered to know about each other. He sighed.
He then closed his eyes.
He remembered Ragini in a beautiful orange coloured churidaar suit which she had worn for college FESTIVAL'..She organised the closing ceremony of the FEST.The whole group and their batch were there to cheer her & when she came up on the stage..Jay's cheer for her was the LOUDEST!
While the function was still going on, Ragini realised that she had forgotten to carry the momentos to be given away at the end of the function and she ran towards the 3rd floor hall above the auditorium to collect them.She did not know that Jay was present in one end of the hall packing the gifts for the speakers. She reached there & searched for a bag which had all the momemtos.
She then looked a Jay who by now was also aware of her presence and tried to concentrate on his work.
Ragini : Thank god tu yahan par hai Jay'.I came running but now I realised that the bag will be too heavy for me to carry it down'She came nearer while saying so
Jay : ohh so u Dont worry..I'll bring it along with me when I come down.
Sice past 3-4 weeks he had been noticing the effect of Ragini's presence on him and this made him avoid her more and more. He moved sideways to avoid eye contact.
Ragini : Kyun'.mere saath neeche jaane se tumhaari market value kam ho jayegi?
Jay : Paagal hai kya?? Kuch bhi bole jaa rahi hai..
Ragini :Jo mujhe laga maine bol diya''I want you to come down with me with this bag.She ordered him.
Jay : haha...Main toh darr gaya..Main toh nahi chal raha.😛 He looked straight at her.He loved being challenged by her.
Ragini : Par tu mera mera Best Friend hai..Chal Na..
Jay : Wo toh Shobhi, Sanaya aur Mohit bhi hain'.sabse toh tu aise order deke baat nahi karti?
Ragini fumbled with her words and turned around as she did not want him to see her blushing☺️
Jay had always promised himself nearly hundred times that he will stay away from.But he always forgot this the moment she was around him'
He stepped forward so as to stand very close to her & still maintaining a distance of ..he was behind her and could hear her breathing. He told himself to turn around and leave
But surprised by himself he went to stand in front of her.
Jay leaned against the wall, fixing his eyes on her and asked,
Jay :Gini,the society for war victims have organised a charity ball this Saturday. If I asked you to come with me, would you care to do so?
Ragini said simply : well'.if you help me now and all through the fest, I might consider.[She composed herself & didnt want to show her eagerness😛]
She laughed and her smiles made Jay smile for next two days😍
~~~~~He had a wide smile yet again on his face...but soon he came back to his senses..
&
he laid down on his bed..within 5 minutes he was in deep sleep~~~~~
