DC: Jay guides bro to TV

Jay Soni who currently plays the central role of Ishaan in the Star Plus show Sasural Genda Phool has competition at home. His younger brother Nirav Soni is also a part for the acting profession now and is playing Rinky Karmarkar's son in the new Colors show Naa Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha.

But Jay doesn't see his brother as a home-grown rival. Instead, he talks about his sibling's struggle and how he guides his younger brother. Jay makes it clear though that: "I haven't helped Nirav or recommended his name to any of the TV production houses." The proud brother asserts: "He has struggled a lot to get into the industry on his own steam. Though I have helped him to make the right choices and I have guided him, all the hard work has been done by him."

Ask Jay to elaborate on the guidance he has given Nirav and he says: "Nirav always asked me what kind of show he should do. Whenever he got any offer, he would take my opinion on whether he should go for it or not. Also, I have given him a few acting tips on how he should go about enacting a particular scene in the show."

Now that Nirav's work is onscreen, Jay is beaming with pride. He states: "I've seen a few episodes of his show and feel very proud of the kind of work he is doing. I'm really happy for my brother and wish that he makes it big in the television world."
