I have used lockers many times, the bank staff just put there keys in and open with there key then leave the customer and after that the customer puts there keys to open it fully, once you use your locker and close it with your key then you don't need the bank staff to come and close. If another person come with a customer and says he/she is with me then the bank has no objection , usually or atleast in my bank the CCTV is just outside the entrance to the locker room not inside the room for privacy reasons, may be in other banks they do. It does not look a blooper to me as BP came with BM so they didn't suspect him.

Fine. May be you are right because I haven't used any lockers in India. I live in US and here the system is different. If someone is with the customer and wants to enter the locker area with that person then they have to show photo id. And here in US CCTV is placed every where for security reasons..So may be thats why I thought it to be a blooper and for my few folks there in India might not feel it is a blooper..
I just asked my mom how it works since I live in the US too...apparently, the security remains close to you throughout the entire time (ie in the same room). Maybe it's just different in India...would any person living in India using bank lockers shed some light on this blooper mystery? đ
